EDGE CONTROLLER WITH NETWORK PERFORMANCE PARAMETER SUPPORT
20230133089 · 2023-05-04 ·

A method includes receiving a plurality of configurations comprising a first configuration for provisioning a first set of network services at a first resource of an edge device and a second configuration for provisioning a second set of network services at the first resource, a first configuration group identifier identifying a configuration group for the first configuration, and a first network performance parameter for the configuration group. The method further includes determining a performance factor for the first resource providing the first set of network services to one or more client devices. The method further includes, in response to determining that the performance factor does not satisfy the first network performance parameter for the configuration group and that the first configuration group identifier identifies the configuration group for the first configuration, moving the first configuration from the first resource to a second resource of the edge device.

REMOTE RECONFIGURATION SYSTEM FOR INTERNET OF THINGS (IoT) INTELLIGENT SENSING TERMINAL

A remote reconfiguration system for an Internet of Things (IoT) intelligent sensing terminal includes: a controlled terminal with a field programmable gate array (FPGA); and a remote control unit connected to the controlled terminal and a control device; where the remote control unit is configured to receive control information sent by the control device, process the control information and send the processed control information to the FPGA, such that the FPGA performs remote local autonomous reconfiguration based on the preprocessed control information. The system resolves problems that a traditional IoT terminal cannot realize remote control and cannot follow functional requirements to perform local autonomous reconfiguration, and has better versatility and expandability.

BIDIRECTIONAL BRIDGE FOR WEB VIEW

A bidirectional bridge for web view is a technical solution to an engineering challenge associated with presenting external content in a web view. A bidirectional bridge for web view facilitates bidirectional communication between the web view included in the messaging client and the messaging client itself. In response to a user action requesting a web page to be loaded in the web view, the bidirectional bridge initiates a request to messaging client to retrieve external content, receives the requested external content from the messaging client, and displays an image representing the external content in the web view as part of the web page.

Systems for Platform-Independent Application Publishing to a Web Container
20230136034 · 2023-05-04 ·

Provided are computer-implemented methods and systems for publishing an application to a web container. An example method for publishing an application to a web container may include establishing a channel of communication with a user device associated with an end user. The method may further include embedding a web container into a web portal associated with a plurality of applications. The method may include executing an application in a user session associated with the end user. The method may further include capturing images of a virtual screen associated with the application executed on the application server. After the capture, the method may continue with sending the images to the web container of the web portal running in a web browser of the user device. The web container may publish the images to the web browser to display the application as part of the web portal in the web browser.

Software Upgrade in a Home Network Using Lower Layer Messaging

Principles, apparatuses, systems, circuits, methods, and computer program products for performing a software upgrade in a MoCA network includes receiving an image of a software upgrade at a server and sending the image in the MoCA network using an L2ME message channel to a client that is enabled to receive the image and store the image in a client memory. The image may be broken up into packets, and a sequence number may be assigned to each packet to assist the client in assembling them. CRC information may also be appended to the packets to enable the client to verify their contents.

WIRELESS NETWORK OF ENVIRONMENTAL SENSOR UNITS
20230208919 · 2023-06-29 · ·

Environmental monitoring systems that include base stations and environmental sensor units (ESUs) that communicate in a wireless sensor network. A base station may include environmental sensors and may communicate with a remote server using a wide-area wireless network. The base station may also communicate with an environmental sensor unit using a wireless personal area network. The ESU may include environmental sensors and may communicate with the remote server via the base station. The base station and ESU may be adapted to automatically pair with one another to enable the ESU to communicate via the base station. An ESU may also be adapted to process data regarding environmental conditions by automatically determining a type of environmental sensor from which the data was received and processing the data based on the type. An ESU may also include physical ports by which new sensors can be connected to the ESU.

NETWORK BEACON FOR HYPERVISOR INSTALLATIONS

A system and method for configuring components added to a network is disclosed. The method includes determining, by a host, that network identifying information of a plurality of networks to which the host is connected is unknown, listening for messages on the plurality of networks to obtain network identifying information for respective networks, receiving a message on a network of the plurality of networks, the message including a network identifier and a set of configuration settings, and configuring a network connection of the host for the network in view of the network identifier and the set of configuration settings from the message.

SOFTWARE APPLICATION MANAGER FOR MESSAGING APPLICATIONS
20230208896 · 2023-06-29 ·

Among other things, embodiments of the present disclosure improve the functionality of electronic messaging systems by enabling users in an electronic chat conversation to run applications together. In some embodiments, when one user in a chat launches an application, an icon or other visual representation of the application appears in a portion of the chat window (e.g., in a “chat dock”) for other users in the chat to access.

Configuration Systems and Methods for Secure Operation of Networked Transducers
20230208626 · 2023-06-29 · ·

A device can include an internal secure processing environment (SE) and communicate with a configuration system. The device may utilize a near field communications (NFC) radio. A mobile handset can connect with the SE in the device using NFC. The mobile handset can communicate with the configuration system and receive configuration data and a software package for the device. The SE can derive a PM key pair and send the derived public key to the configuration system via the mobile handset. The SE and the configuration system can mutually derive an encryption key using the derived PM key pair. The configuration data can be transmitted over the NFC radio, and the mobile handset can establish a Wi-Fi access point. The software package can be encrypted using the encryption key and transmitted to the device over the established Wi-Fi access point, thereby completing a configuration step for the device.
