Vehicle multimedia system and memory management method therefor

A method for managing a memory of a vehicle multimedia system includes analyzing a use rate per streaming service, allocating a partition of a memory per streaming service according to the analyzed use rate, compressing streaming data when the streaming data is downloaded, and caching the compressed streaming data in a partition allocated for a specific streaming service corresponding to the streaming data.

A buffer control method, a UE, and a non-volatile computer-readable storage medium are provided. The buffer control method for the UE includes: transmitting, by the UE, first check information to a network side device; receiving, by the UE, first buffer resetting information from the network side device; releasing or emptying a current compression buffer of the UE in accordance with content in the first buffer resetting information; and when the UE receives a dictionary activating or enabling indication: storing, by the UE, a dictionary into the compression buffer; compressing, by the UE through UDC, an uncompressed data packet to obtain a compressed data packet; and transmitting, by the UE, the compressed data packet, wherein the compression buffer is continuously updated by the UE in accordance with the uncompressed data packet.

System and method for managing built-in security for content distribution

A system is configured for managing a plurality of files containing sensitive information associated with an organization to be sent to a particular receiver. The system is further configured to determine whether the particular receiver is an internal receiver or an external receiver with respect to the organization. If the particular receiver is an external receiver, a CRC code generated from the personal information and location coordinates of an external server where the plurality of files will be accessed is added to the plurality of files. A security code is also added to the plurality of files to facilitate that they are secured from being exposed and disposed at a retention time set by the organization. The system generates a custom compressed file from the plurality of files, configures it to be decompressed by the personal information of the external receiver, and sends it to the external receiver.

Non-IP Header Compression in Broadcast Sidelink Communication

A first client device compresses a broadcast sidelink packet according to a configuration for a compression profile by removing at least one non-IP header of the broadcast sidelink packet. The first client device transmits the compressed broadcast sidelink packet together with an indication of the compression profile. When a second client device receives the compressed broadcast sidelink packet, the second client device reconstructs the at least one non-IP header of the broadcast sidelink packet based on the configuration for the compression profile and the indicated compression profile.

HEADER COMPRESSION ADAPTIVE TO QUALITY OF RADIO CHANNEL

A method of processing data for transmission in a wireless communications system, the method comprising identifying within the data a data frame having a protocol header, the protocol header comprising a plurality of protocol header fields and associated with a medium access control (MAC) frame format for data transmission within a local area network (LAN), determining a selected profile for header compression, the profile being selected from a plurality of predetermined profiles, each of the plurality of predetermined profiles specifying a subset of the protocol header fields, and applying compression to a subset of the protocol header fields in accordance with the selected profile to form a compressed data frame for transmission on a wireless access interface of the wireless communications network.

ENABLING ETHERNET COMMUNICATION OVER IP TRANSPORT

In accordance with an example embodiment of the present disclosure Ethernet communication over IP transport is enabled. The following is performed: Ethernet communication for transmitting and receiving Ethernet frames; IP communication for transmitting and receiving IP data packets over a cellular network; transforming Ethernet frames to IP data packets and vice versa for enabling Ethernet communication over IP transport; and maintaining a header transformation table between Ethernet and IP traffic flows. The transforming comprises using the header transformation table and performing header transformation by removing Ethernet headers from received Ethernet frames and including Ethernet payload in IP data packets, and by reconstructing Ethernet headers for received IP data packets for transmission of payload from the IP data packets in Ethernet frames, wherein the transforming comprises using IPv6 headers of IP data packets to carry dynamic information from the removed Ethernet headers.

SIDELINK SECURITY CONFIGURATION PROCEDURE

A user equipment (UE) that performs unicast sidelink communication with the second UE and methods therefor are disclosed. A method of a first UE that performs direct sidelink communication with a second UE includes the steps of: receiving a first indication comprising sidelink signalling; in response to receiving the first indication, performing at least one of: updating a configuration for performing a transmission/reception procedure of the first UE in order to update a key based on the updated configuration for performing a transmission/reception procedure; suspending at least one data transmission/reception procedure; and resuming at least one data transmission/reception procedure.
