Communication device and method for providing a name service within an industrial automation system
A method for providing a name service within an industrial automation system, wherein communication devices of the industrial automation system each check via a name service component whether a device name with a topological or hierarchical name component, which essentially completely designates a spatial or hierarchical arrangement of the respective communication device, is allocated to the respective communication device, where in cases of a positive check result, the communication devices each designate their associated device name as complete device name, and where in cases of a negative check result, the communication devices each independently generate their complete device name from topological or hierarchical name components distributed via messages with router advertisements and a name component unambiguous within their respective subnetwork.
Reliability of a connection during a communication session on a network device
The present application details methods and systems for improving the reliability of a connection during a communication session on a network device. In one or more embodiments, the network device maps to and connects with multiple datacenters. For example, the network device connects with a primary datacenter and participates in a communication session via a primary media bridge connection while jointly being connected with a secondary datacenter. In addition, the network device can switch from the primary media bridge connection to a secondary media bridge connection if a fault is detected on the primary media bridge connection.
MANAGING NETWORK COMPUTING COMPONENTS UTILIZING REQUEST ROUTING
Aspects of the disclosure will be described with regard to the processing of a client computing device DNS queries by a DNS processing service to determine an identifier associated with a previously instantiated hosted virtual machine instance. In one aspect, if the previously instantiated hosted virtual machine instance is instantiated, the DNS service can resolve the DNS query by transmitting network address information associated with the previously instantiated hosted virtual machine instance. In another aspect, if the previously instantiated hosted virtual machine instance is not instantiated, the DNS service can initiate a process to cause an instantiation of a hosted virtual machine instance based on the previously instantiated hosted virtual machine instance. The DNS service can then resolve the DNS query by transmitting network address information, or an alternative identifier, associated with the newly instantiated hosted virtual machine instance.
Identifying malicious identifiers
Methods and systems for identifying malicious URIs. The system accepts a list of URIs as input and extracts features related to a given URI and uses the features to discover patterns that indicate malicious content. Once trained, the classifier can then classify new inputs as either malicious or non-malicious.
Cross-application authentication on a content management system
Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for cross-application authentication on a content management system. A client application running at a client device that is not authenticated with a content management system can receive, from a web site associated with the content management system, a request to authenticate with the content management system under a user account used to authenticate a current session between a browser application at the client device and the website with the content management system. The client application can then obtain a uniform resource locator (URL) with a nonce associated with the client application, and send a command to the browser application including the URL and nonce. The command can trigger the browser application to use the URL and nonce to authenticate the client application with the content management system under the user account with which the current session between the browser application and the website is currently authenticated.
MESSAGING PROTOCOL
Systems and methods provide for implementation of a messaging protocol that provides security necessary for clinical messaging while also providing scalability needed to properly function within a clinical setting. The messaging protocol provides for federation of messages across messaging domains with a direct target address or via a role or group endpoint address that resolves to one or more target addresses. The messaging protocol also provides the ability to include content other than text in messages.
Name-based routing system and method
An advanced routing system and protocol (referred to herein as Route Exchange or REX) hides familiar IPv4 and IPv6 addresses and replaces traditional routing logic with words and relationships between named elements. Among other things, this makes IP routing tables significantly easier to understand. In addition, a single routing scheme can be used for any combination of private networks, public networks, IPv4 addressing models, and IPv6 addressing models. Underneath the words lie real IP addresses that move the packets from place to place. These routing addresses abstract away the underlying network.
Agile network protocol for secure communications using secure domain names
A secure domain name service for a computer network is disclosed that includes a portal connected to a computer network, such as the Internet, and a domain name database connected to the computer network through the portal. The portal authenticates a query for a secure computer network address, and the domain name database stores secure computer network addresses for the computer network. Each secure computer network address is based on a non-standard top-level domain name, such as .scom, .sorg, .snet, .snet, .sedu, .smil and .sint.
Systems and methods for multiple-path delay tolerant communication in a network of moving things, for example including a network of autonomous vehicles
Systems and methods for optimizing data communication in a network of moving things. As non-limiting examples, various aspects of this disclosure provide systems and methods for communicating delay tolerant information in a network of moving things, for example comprising any of a variety of types of vehicles (e.g., autonomous vehicles, vehicles controlled by local operators, vehicles controlled by remote operators, etc.).
RADIO MODULE AS WEB-CONTROLLABLE REMOTE SENSOR
The present invention provides for network control of a radio module having a plurality of input/output (I/O) ports capable of communication with one or more sensing devices across a network, where the radio module may be controlled remotely to obtain information from one or more networked remote sensing devices.
