NETWORK CHANNELS PRIMITIVES
Networks primitives are provided for establishing and maintaining channels and secure channels. In one embodiment, requests to open a new channel are handled only in a listen mode and, after authentication, the channel provides secure communication. In one embodiment, a secure channel is initialized and fixed if broken so that a plurality of threads may share it. In one embodiment, a no listen mode is applied if the number of new channels handled per time period is more than a threshold.
CODE OBFUSCATION AND ASSOCIATED OBJECTS
Obfuscation transforms original code into an obfuscated code that is less intelligible, but behaves like the original. In one embodiment, a data sequence describing an obfuscator is processed by a reader who outputs an obfuscator. The data sequence may be stored or transmitted and the obfuscator may be used for code obfuscation. In one embodiment, additional readers are used to create objects associated with the obfuscated code. In one embodiment, a generator produces encrypted files and obfuscated code that can decrypt and encrypt the files.
Authentication method and system
A method for authenticating an object, comprising determining a physical dispersion pattern of a set of elements, determining a physical characteristic of the set of elements which is distinct from a physical characteristic producible by a transfer printing technology, determining a digital code associated with the object defining the physical dispersion pattern, and authenticating the object by verifying a correspondence of the digital code with the physical dispersion pattern, and verifying the physical characteristic.
Revocation status using other credentials
Providing revocation status of at least one associated credential includes providing a primary credential that is at least initially independent of the associated credential, binding the at least one associated credential to the primary credential, and deeming the at least one associated credential to be revoked if the primary credential is revoked. Providing revocation status of at least one associated credential may also include deeming the at least one associated credential to be not revoked if the primary credential is not revoked. Binding may be independent of the contents of the credentials and may be independent of whether any of the credentials authenticate any other ones of the credentials. The at least one associated credential may be provided on an integrated circuit card (ICC). The ICC may be part of a mobile phone or a smart card.
Apparatus and method for authenticating network devices
The disclosed apparatus may include (1) a reply-reception module, stored in memory, that receives, from a satellite device, an authentication reply that includes an original authentication message digitally signed by the aggregation device using a private key of the aggregation device and that is digitally signed by the satellite device using a private key of the satellite device, (2) a forwarding module, stored in memory, that forwards the authentication reply to a network management server, (3) a validation-reception module, stored in memory, that receives, from the network management server in response to forwarding the authentication reply, a validation message, and (4) an authentication module, stored in memory, that authenticates the satellite device based at least in part on receiving the validation message. Various other apparatuses, systems, and methods are also disclosed.
SIGNING KEY LOG MANAGEMENT
Cryptographic keys can include logging properties that enable those keys to be used only if the properties can be enforced by the cryptographic system requested to perform one or more actions using the keys. The logging property can specify how to log use of a respective key. A key can also include a mutability property for specifying whether the logging property can be changed, and if so under what circumstances or in which way(s). The ability to specify and automatically enforce logging can be important for environments where audit logs are essential. These can include, for example, public certificate authorities that must provide accurate and complete audit trails. In cases where the data is not to be provided outside a determined secure environment, the key can be generated with a property indicating not to log any of the usage.
SECURE DISTRIBUTED INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR PUBLIC DEVICE AUTHENTICATION
A method of performing user authentication includes by a service electronic device associated with a service, receiving, from a public electronic device, a request for a user to initiate a session of the service, generating a first security token, a first write token, a first read token, and/or a first delete token, sending the first security token, the first write token, the first read token, and/or the first delete token to a server electronic device, receiving, from the server electronic device, a key location identifier that uniquely identifies a memory location of a data store associated with the server electronic device where the first security token, the first write token, the first read token, and/or the first delete token are stored, saving the key location identifier in a data store associated with the service electronic device, generating a signed key location identifier, generating a machine-readable image that includes the key location identifier, the signed key location identifier and the first write token in an encoded format, and sending the machine-readable image to the public electronic device.
LOGIC REPOSITORY SERVICE USING ENCRYPTED CONFIGURATION DATA
The following description is directed to a logic repository service. In one example, a method of a logic repository service can include receiving a first request to generate configuration data for configurable hardware using a specification for application logic of the configurable hardware. The method can include generating the configuration data for the configurable hardware. The configuration data can include data for implementing the application logic. The method can include encrypting the configuration data to generate encrypted configuration data. The method can include signing the encrypted configuration data using a private key. The method can include transmitting the signed encrypted configuration data in response to the request.
Key downloading method, management method, downloading management method, device and system
Disclosed is a key downloading management method, comprising: a device end authorizing the validity of an RKS server by checking a digital signature of a work certificate public key of the RKS server, and the RKS server generating an authentication token (AT); encrypting by using an identity authentication secondary key DK2 of the device end, and sending the ciphertext to the device end; the device end decrypting the ciphertext by using the identity authentication secondary key DK2 saved thereby, encrypting the ciphertext by using the work certificate public key and then returning same to the RKS server; the RKS server decrypting same by using a work certificate private key thereof and then comparing whether the authentication token (AT) is the same as the generated authentication token (AT) or not, and if so, it is indicated that the device end is valid, thereby achieving bidirectional identity authentication.
Cryptographic key generation using a stored input value and a stored count value
Embodiments of an invention for cryptographic key generation using a stored input value and a stored count value have been described. In one embodiment, a processor includes non-volatile storage storing an input value and a count value, and logic to generate a cryptographic key based on the stored input value and the stored count value.
