Method and apparatus for updating digital certificate
Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a method and apparatus for updating a digital certificate. A specific embodiment of the method includes: receiving digital certificate data, the digital certificate data including a number of times of forwarding and a first forwarding moment; determining whether the following conditions are satisfied: the number of times of the forwarding being less than a preset threshold, or a time length between a current moment and the first forwarding moment being less than a preset time length; and increasing, in response to determining at least one of the conditions being satisfied, the number of times of the forwarding by a preset number, and forwarding the digital certificate data to another proxy server.
ESTABLISHING AN AD-HOC SECURE CONNECTION BETWEEN TWO ELECTRONIC COMPUTING DEVICES USING A SELF-EXPIRING LOCALLY TRANSMITTED INFORMATION PACKET
Disclosed is a computer-implemented method for establishing a secure connection between two electronic computing devices which are located in a network environment, the two electronic computing devices being a first computing device offering the connection and a second computing device designated to accept the connection, the method comprising executing, by at least one processor of at least one computer, a connection-establishing application for exchanging an information packet between the first computing device and the second computing device comprising a secret usable for establishing the connection, and evaluating a response from the second computing device for establishing the secure connection.
Techniques for authentication via a mobile device
Techniques for authentication via a mobile device are provided. A mobile device is pre-registered for website authentication services. A user encounters a website displaying an embedded code as an image alongside a normal login process for that website. The image is identified by the mobile device, encrypted and signed by the mobile device and sent to a proxy. The proxy authenticates the code and associates it with the website. Credentials for the user are provided to the website to automatically authenticate the user for access to the website bypassing the normal login process associated with the website.
Encrypting data records and processing encrypted records without exposing plaintext
A computer implemented method of applying a unified search for a match of one or more features in a plurality of encrypted records, comprising using one or more processors of a server associated with a database comprising a plurality of encrypted records. The processor(s) is adapted for receiving a query for searching one or more plaintext features in the plurality of encrypted, searching for a match of the one or more plaintext features using a first search methodology and a second search methodology and outputting an indication of matching encrypted records according to the match. Wherein the second search methodology is asymptotically faster than the first search methodology and wherein the first search methodology is used for searching a subset of the plurality of encrypted records selected based on status indication associated with each encrypted record.
On-demand security association management
An ingress network element obtains data from a source endpoint associated with the ingress network element. The data identifies a destination endpoint remote from the ingress network element. The ingress network element provides a map request identifying the destination endpoint to a mapping server. The ingress network element obtains a map reply including a network address of an egress network element associated with the destination endpoint and a security association. The ingress network element encrypts the data for the destination endpoint with the security association according to a cryptographic policy based on the source endpoint, the destination endpoint, and the availability of cryptographic resources on the network. The ingress network element provides the encrypted data to the egress network element.
Content management systems and methods using proxy reencryption
This disclosure relates to systems and methods for managing protected electronic content using proxy reencryption techniques. Rights management architectures are described that may, among other things, provide end-to-end protection of content keys from their point of origination at a content creator and/or content service to end user devices. Proxy reencryption techniques consistent with aspects of the disclosed embodiments may enable transformation of a ciphertext under one public key to a ciphertext containing the same plaintext under another public key. Consistent with embodiments disclosed herein, proxy reencryption processes may be implemented using indistinguishability obfuscation and puncturable public-key encryption schemes, functional encryption, and/or white box obfuscation techniques.
HIGHLY-AVAILABLE CRYPTOGRAPHIC KEYS
Systems and methods for providing encrypted cryptographic keys. A system obtains a request to generate a data key. The system generates the data key and a data structure comprising the data key encrypted with keys from a set of compute regions. The system provides the data structure and the data key in response to the request. The data structure can be used to obtain the data key contingent on at least one compute region of the set of compute regions being available.
GENERATING AND INITIATING PRE-SIGNED TRANSACTION REQUESTS FOR FLEXIBLY AND EFFICIENTLY IMPLEMENTING SECURE CRYPTOGRAPHIC KEY MANAGEMENT
The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media that utilize pre-signed key rotation transaction requests for initiating transactions to rotate one or more cryptographic keys of a user account of a distributed digital ledger transaction network. For example, in one or more embodiments, the disclosed systems initiate a transaction to delegate a permission for rotating one or more cryptographic keys of a first user account to a second user account. Using the second user account, the disclosed systems generate and store a pre-signed key rotation transaction request. By retrieving the pre-signed key rotation transaction request from storage, the disclosed systems can initiate a key rotation transaction that exchanges the active cryptographic key of the first user account to a modified cryptographic key.
CLOUD STORAGE USING ENCRYPTION GATEWAY WITH CERTIFICATE AUTHORITY IDENTIFICATION
Systems and methods to securely send or write data to a cloud storage or server. In one embodiment, a method includes: establishing a connection to a client using a client-side transport protocol; receiving, over the connection, data from the first client; decrypting, using a client session key, the received data to provide first decrypted data; encrypting the first decrypted data using a stored payload key (that is associated with the client) to provide first encrypted data; encrypting, using a cloud session key, the first encrypted data using a remote-side transport protocol to provide second encrypted data; and sending the second encrypted data to the cloud storage or server.
Local device authentication system
Various embodiments are generally directed to provide a semi-local authentication scheme. A server can transmit one or more encryption mechanisms to a user device, which in turn can transmit the encrypted mechanisms to one or more secondary devices associated with the user device, where the user device and the secondary devices share a local connection. The secondary devices can transmit the one or more encrypted mechanism utilizing one or more one or more decryption mechanisms supplied by the server, and then transmit the result of the decryption, e.g. decrypted codes, back to the user device, which in turn can then transmit a final decrypted code or codes to the server. Upon confirming receipt of the decryption from the user device, the server can authorize access (via the user device) to one or more devices, networks, applications, and/or components.
