A method of authenticating a controller by a gateway in a vehicle includes: transmitting a first message including a first random number to the controller when a first condition is satisfied; receiving, from the controller, a second message including the first random number to which an electronic signature has been attached through a private key of the controller; decrypting the first random number having the electronic signature attached thereto using a public key of the controller; and transmitting, to the controller, a symmetric key encrypted using the public key of the controller when the decryption has been successfully performed.

An authentication system and method for an electronic governor of an unmanned aerial vehicle is disclosed. By employing reciprocative authentication and encryption mechanisms between a main control terminal and an electronic governor, the use of a modified electronic governor is prevented and thus the illegal use of UAVs is also prevented. Moreover, the provided electronic governor may be operated in dual-mode to extend its compatibility to conventional main control terminals.

The toll transponder may provide the encrypted signal to the toll server device via the toll antenna, and may receive from the toll server device, via the toll antenna, data indicating whether the transaction amount for the vehicle toll is approved.

The method further includes generating a second image of the part of the vehicle by a second camera and detecting a second set of the characters of the number plate dependent on the second image. The method further includes generating the speeding ticket, in response to determining that the vehicle violates a speed limit and in response to verifying that the first set of the characters is equal to the second set of the characters.
