Described herein are a secure system for sharing private data and related systems and methods for incentivizing and validating private data sharing. In some embodiments, private data providers may register to selectively share private data under controlled sharing conditions. The private data may be cryptographically secured using encryption information corresponding to one or more secure execution environments. To demonstrate to the private data providers that the secure execution environment is secure and trustworthy, attestations demonstrating the security of the secure execution environment may be stored in a distributed ledger (e.g., a public blockchain). Private data users that want access to shared private data may publish applications for operating on the private data to a secure execution environment and publish, in a distributed ledger, an indication that the application is available to receive private data. The distributed ledger may also store sharing conditions under which the private data will be shared.

The transformation module is configured to transform data objects from one format into another.

An implantable medical device is generally constrained to employ a low power transceiver, which supports short distance digital communications. A relay device, such as a smartphone or WiFi access point, acts as a conduit for the communications to the internet or other network, which need not be private or secure. The medical device supports encrypted secure communications, such as a virtual private network technology. The medical device negotiates a secure channel through a smartphone or router, for example, which provides application support for the communication, but may be isolated from the content.

Examples are described for dynamically encrypting and/or decrypting a file formed of multiple blocks of ordered data. In one example, a method of dynamically encrypting a file to enable partial decryption of the file includes generating, using a secret key and one or more initialization vectors, a keystream for the multiple blocks of ordered data, encrypting the multiple blocks of ordered data of the file by performing a logical operation of the keystream with the multiple blocks of ordered data in a one-to-one correspondence, and building a file index of the file to identify location information of the multiple blocks of ordered data. The method may further include dynamically decrypting at least a portion of the file by decrypting at least one selected block of encrypted data of the file using a portion of the keystream, the portion of the keystream corresponding to the at least one selected block.
