Assemblies, Systems and Methods for Programming Medical Devices
The present invention relates to medical device programming assemblies, systems and methods for programming a medical treatment parameter on a medical device, via a programming key. The programming key may be adapted to mate with the medical device which comprises a programmable, non-transitory, computer readable storage device. The storage device comprises a data connector which is configured to mate with a corresponding data connector on the medical device. The storage device may be affixed to a fastener coupling configured to mate with a corresponding coupling on the medical device when the data connector is brought into proximity with the corresponding data connector on the medical device. The programming key is configured to occupy a space formed within the medical device when the data connector and fastener coupling are mated with the corresponding data connector and fastener coupling of the medical device.
Establishing an ad-hoc secure connection between two electronic computing devices using a self-expiring locally transmitted information packet
Disclosed is a computer-implemented method for establishing a secure connection between two electronic computing devices which are located in a network environment, the two electronic computing devices being a first computing device offering the connection and a second computing device designated to accept the connection, the method comprising executing, by at least one processor of at least one computer, a connection-establishing application for exchanging an information packet between the first computing device and the second computing device comprising a secret usable for establishing the connection, and evaluating a response from the second computing device for establishing the secure connection.
METHODS, SYSTEMS AND APPARATUS TO TRACK A PROVENANCE OF GOODS
Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed to track a provenance of goods. An example apparatus includes an unsigned block generator to generate a first unsigned block to store first processing data associated with the product by a first entity, a block signature engine to sign the first unsigned block with a first private key to generate a blockchain having a first signed block, the unsigned block generator to generate a second unsigned block in response to a second entity generating second processing data associated with the product by the second entity, the block signature engine to expand the blockchain by signing the second unsigned block with a second private key to generate a second signed block within the blockchain, and a blockchain validator to verify the product provenance by validating the first processing data and the second processing data using respective public keys associated with the first entity and the second entity.
ACCESS SYSTEM, ACCESS DEVICE AND ACCESS METHOD FOR ACCESSING HEALTH INFORMATION
An access system, an access device and an access method for accessing health information are disclosed. The access system includes a decentralized database for recording an authorization file corresponding to health information and a public key corresponding to the authorization file, a centralized database for using the public key corresponding to the authorization file to encrypt and store the health information corresponding to the authorization file into an access space, and an access device for issuing an access request of health information to the decentralized database based on user identification, for the decentralized database to identify and authorize the user identification based on the authorization file corresponding to the health information and ratify the access request and provide an instruction after identifying and authorizing the user identification, and for acquiring the encrypted health information from the access space based on the instruction.
PERSONAL PRESCRIPTION DISPENSER
Disclosed is a method and apparatus for transporting and dispensing medications for a patient according to a medication schedule for the patient. A smart container from a pharmacy is received at the patient's site and the container is checked to make sure that the container was delivered to the correct patient site. The smart container contains a memory device that contains identification information of the patient, dosage and treatment instructions for the patient. This information and the medication were checked for compatibility before the smart container was delivered. The identity of the patient at the patient's site is then checked and the patient performs on or more biometric tests before the medication is dispensed by the smart container. Upon taking the medication and providing video proof thereof, the smart container is returned to the pharmacy.
Hearing device with communication protection and related method
A hearing device includes: a processing unit configured to compensate for hearing loss of a user of the hearing device; and an interface; wherein the processing unit is configured to: receive a session request for a session via the interface, obtain and store a session key, encrypt the session key based on a hearing device key, send a session response comprising the encrypted session key, and receive session data in the session via the interface.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TRACKING PATIENT EVENTS
A system for tracking adverse events may include at least one processing device programmed to receive a request from a user to record an adverse event experienced by a patient; receive a search term input by the user; identify, in an adverse event database and based on the search term, at least one database record for an adverse event, wherein the at least one database record includes an adverse event type and at least one characteristic; receive, via an input field, a rating of the at least one characteristic for the patient; generate an adverse event record based on the adverse event type and the rating; and store the adverse event record in an adverse event log.
CENTRALIZED AND DECENTRALIZED INDIVIDUALIZED MEDICINE PLATFORM

A DIALYSIS MACHINE, EXTERNAL MEDICAL EQUIPMENT AND METHODS FOR ESTABLISHING SECURE COMMUNICATION BETWEEN A DIALYSIS MACHINE AND EXTERNAL MEDICAL EQUIPMENT
The present disclosure relates to a dialysis machine, external medical equipment and to methods for establishing an authenticated connection between a dialysis machine and external medical equipment. The dialysis machine is caused to establish a short-range wireless connection between the dialysis machine and external medical equipment. A first shared key is associated with the short-range wireless connection. The dialysis machine is further configured to obtain a second shared key generated using the first shared key and to generate a first signature, using the obtained second shared key. The dialysis machine is further configured to send, to the external medical equipment, an authentication request comprising the generated first signature and to receive in return an authentication accept comprising a second signature. Furthermore, the dialysis machine is configured to verify the authenticity of the external medical equipment using the second signature.
