Partial Task Processing with Data Slice Errors
A storage network receives data and a corresponding task, selects a storage units for the task, determines whether the data slice is locally available and when the data slice is not locally available, determines whether a redundant data slice is available from another storage unit. When the redundant data slice is not available from another storage unit, the storage network facilitates rebuilding the data slice to produce a rebuilt data slice by retrieving a decode threshold number of data slices corresponding to the data slice, decoding the decode threshold number of data slices to reproduce a data segment and re-encoding the data segment to produce a pillar width number of data slices that includes the rebuilt data slice. The storage network then stores locally either the rebuilt data slice or the redundant data slice and processes one of: the data slice locally available, the rebuilt data slice stored locally, or the redundant data slice stored locally in accordance with the corresponding partial task to produce a partial result.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION BETWEEN PUMP HOUSING AND FRONT LID
A medical pump includes a cuboid pump housing and a front lid that is pivotably hinged to the pump housing. The front lid includes a display, in particular a touch display, and/or operating elements. The front lid is attached to the pump housing with at least one first hinge element and at least one second hinge element. The at least one first hinge element and/or the at least one second hinge element includes or forms at least one electrical connection between the pump housing and the front lid for electrical linking and exchange of data.
Bootstrapping Devices on a Network
Methods for operating a device and for managing bootstrapping of devices are disclosed. The method (100) for operating a device comprises computing (102) a derivative of a secret shared between the device and a server entity of a network, generating (104) a temporary bootstrap URI by combining at least a part of the computed derivative with a static bootstrap URI for the network, and sending (106) a bootstrap request to the temporary bootstrap URI. The method for managing bootstrapping of devices comprises generating temporary bootstrap URIs corresponding to devices operable to connect to a network, and updating a network DNS registry to map the generated temporary bootstrap URIs to the IP address of at least one of a bootstrap server instance reachable via the network and/or a bootstrap load balancer. Also disclosed are a device, a bootstrap load balancer, a bootstrap server, and a computer program.
Method, apparatus, and system for performing an establishment of a security context between user equipment and an access node
Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method, an apparatus, and a system for establishing a security context and relates to the communications field, so as to comprehensively protect UE data. The method includes: acquiring an encryption algorithm of an access node; acquiring a root key and deriving, according to the root key and the encryption algorithm, an encryption key of the access node; sending the encryption key and the encryption algorithm to the access node, so that the access node starts downlink encryption and uplink decryption; sending the encryption algorithm of the access node to the UE so as to negotiate the encryption algorithm with the UE; and instructing the access node to start downlink encryption and uplink decryption and instructing, during algorithm negotiation, the UE to start downlink decryption and uplink encryption.
Method, Device, and System for Application Key Generation and Management in a Communication Network for Encrypted Communication with Service Applications
This disclosure generally relates to encrypted communication between terminal devices and service applications via a communication network. Such encrypted communication may be based on various hierarchical levels of encryption keys that are generated and managed by the communication network. Such encrypted communication and key management may be provided by the communication network to the terminal devices as a service that can be subscribed to. The various levels of encryption keys may be managed to improve flexibility of the communication network and to reduce potential security breaches.
Derived keys for connectionless network protocols
Aspects of the disclosure relate to providing derived keys for connectionless network protocols. The derived key may be provided by receiving, at a host, a remote procedure call (RPC) sent by a remote host in response a request by an application executing on the remote host. The host may generate a derived key from a region key, the region key being associated with an application-specific memory region on the host. The host may transmit the derived key to the remote host.
Method and system for privacy based search
The present teaching relates to a method, system, and programming for encrypted searching. One or more keywords are obtained from a user. A uniform resource locator (URL) is generated, wherein a portion of the URL includes the one or more keywords encrypted via a first key. The URL is transmitted to a search server. In response to a time-related criterion associated with the URL being satisfied, one or more search results are obtained from the server, and in response to the time-related criterion associated with the URL being violated, a search box is obtained in response to transmitting the URL.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ZERO-KNOWLEDGE AND IDENTITY BASED KEY MANAGEMENT FOR DECENTRALIZED APPLICATIONS
A method for implementing zero-knowledge private key management for decentralized applications including receiving a session request, establishing a session responsive to the session request, transmitting a response to the session request to the decentralized application, receiving a session approval from a client application, updating the session with the information included in the session approval, and transmitting the public key and the blockchain network selection to the decentralized application.
Authentication Method
An authentication method and system for mutual authentication between a first entity and a third entity via a second entity, based on an authentication protocol used by the first entity and the third entity. The second entity forwards mutual authentication messages between the first entity and the third entity. An apparatus is configured to perform an authentication method for a mutual authentication between a first entity and a third entity via a second entity, based on an authentication protocol used by the first entity and the third entity, the second entity forwards mutual authentication messages between the first entity and the third entity
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR
An information processing apparatus that executes authentication processing using authentication information received from a terminal includes a first authentication unit configured to execute first authentication processing using second authentication information and preliminarily managed authentication information, the second authentication information being obtained by encrypting first authentication information received from the terminal, and a second authentication unit configured to execute second authentication processing different from the first authentication processing, wherein, in a case where the second authentication information is authenticated by the first authentication unit, the first authentication information is managed to be usable by the second authentication unit.
