METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND DEVICES FOR EFFICIENT REUSE OF INTERNET OF THINGS (IOT) DEVICES DEPLOYED IN TEMPORARY APPLICATIONS
Disclosed herein are methods, systems, and devices for solving the problem of efficient reuse of internet-of-things (IoT) devices deployed in temporary applications. According to one embodiment, a method is implemented on a computing device. The method includes receiving, over a wide area network (WAN) from a mobile device, a device identification (ID) associated with an IoT device. The method further includes determining first digital rights management (DRM) privileges for the IoT device based on the device ID. The first DRM privileges are associated with a first entity and a first timestamp. The method further includes receiving, over the WAN from the mobile device, a first request to provide second DRM privileges for the IoT device. The second DRM privileges are associated with a second entity and a second timestamp. The method further includes granting the second DRM privileges based at least partially on a permission from the first entity.
MULTILAYER AND SYNCHRONIZED COMMUNAL SOCIAL MEDIA SYSTEM AND METHOD
A communal media system includes a content management system for storing multimedia content and a synchronization system configured to: retrieve the multimedia content for delivery to a plurality of user devices and receive social media content generated by the user devices; separate the multimedia content and the social media content into a set of prioritized layers; determine a timestamp offset for each of the user devices; and adjust simultaneous deliveries of the multimedia content and the social media content to the user devices, based on a priority associated each layer and the timestamp offset associated with each user device, The multimedia content is delivered to each user devices at the same time and the social media content is delivered to the user devices at the same time while the multimedia content is being viewed on the user devices.
Integrated content portal for accessing aggregated content
Described herein are techniques for providing one or more users with access to content obtained from a plurality of content providers. In some embodiments, such techniques may comprise maintaining a number of access credentials associated with a plurality of different content providers, obtaining access to a plurality of media content libraries, each of the plurality of media content libraries managed by a content provider of the plurality of different content providers, and providing the plurality of media content libraries to at least one user device as a single library of media content. Such techniques may further comprise receiving, from the user device, a selection of a media content from the single library of media content and providing, to the user device, access to the selected media content within a corresponding media content library of the plurality of media content libraries using an access credential.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATICALLY MANAGING MEDIA CONTENT
A method, computer program product and computing device for receiving a request to load at least one new media content item on a personal media device. The size of the at least one new media content item is compared with the amount of storage space remaining on the personal media device to determine if the personal media device has sufficient available storage space. If the personal media device does not have sufficient available storage space, a relative weight associated with at least one old media content item stored on the personal media device is ascertained, the relative weight corresponding to a likelihood that the at least one old media content item will be rendered on the personal media device.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR A SIGNED DOCUMENT VALIDITY SERVICE
A method for managing documents includes obtaining, from a first computing device, a first signed document, and in response to obtaining the first signed document: identifying a first plurality of validity services associated with the signed document, sending a verification request to the first plurality of validity services, wherein each of the plurality of verification requests specifies the first signed document, obtaining a plurality of verification responses from the first plurality of validity services, and making a determination, based on the plurality of verification responses, that the first signed document is valid.
Personalized multimedia autographing system
This invention provides the end-to-end control, networking, and data management for information presentation services and collaboration services. The invention provides for identification of events, generation of push invitations to such events, personalization of ebooks via reader-author collaboration to embed Personalized Multimedia Autographs (PMAs) into the ebook or other media, event line control allowing readers to browse the bookstore, buy while wait, or mingle while waiting for collaboration with the author during these events and capability for the readers and author to discuss the event on social media after the readers have registered for the event enabling the author to provide tailored comments at the event to the readers' interests. This invention may be implemented using several embodiments ranging from small local venues conducting a single author signing to large venues conducting many author presentations and signings in parallel.
Location verification and enforcement for content access devices
A system for location verification and enforcement receives an authorization request to access content from a content access device. The authorization request includes and/or is associated with location information obtained from a gateway device via a local area network and determined using multiple communication networks. The location information is compared to a record indicating that the content access device and the gateway device were both present at a location. When the location information matches the record, an authorization is transmitted to the content access device. The content access device may be operative to access the content upon receiving the authorization.
Blockchain-based copyright protection method and apparatus, and electronic device
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for a blockchain-based right protection. One of the methods includes: sending, to a blockchain network, a request for verifying a right to access a digital product, the request comprising identity information associated with a target user; receiving, from the blockchain network, a response comprising a result of verifying the right to access the digital product based on the identity information associated with the target user; in response to the result being that the verifying the right to access the digital product is successful, determining identification information for tracing the target user; and embedding the identification information for tracing the target user in content associated with the digital product.
CONTENT SECURITY ON IN-VEHICLE ENTERTAINMENT
A system for providing entertainment on a vehicle for passengers is described. The system includes (a) a server storing media files and corresponding media keys and (b) monitors storing subsets of the media files and the corresponding media keys. The system includes a server disposed on the vehicle to store the media files and the media keys for the vehicle; monitors disposed on the vehicle to present media selections to passengers corresponding to the media files stored by the server, locally, or on other monitors disposed on the vehicle, and receive an input from a passenger for playing one of the selections. The system also includes selectively revoking the media keys on the server or the monitors. Program logic executed by the server and the monitors implements secure, digital rights management processes as they pertain to the media files presented on the vehicle.
Content provision based on usage analytics for multiple display receiver devices
Embodiments include apparatuses, methods, and systems including a display transmitter device, one or more display receiver devices, and a content server. A plurality of display contents may be delivered from a content server to a corresponding plurality of display receiver devices via a display transmitter device. A plurality of usage analytics information of the plurality of display contents of the plurality of display receiver devices may be received by the content server, along with corresponding identification information of the plurality of display receiver devices. The plurality of display contents may be selectively adjusted by the content server based on the plurality of usage analytics information of the plurality of display contents of the plurality of display receiver devices. Other embodiments may also be described and claimed.
