Content recording and group encryption
Systems and methods for managing group encryption are described. In certain methods, a content asset may be encrypted with an asset key. An account key may be determined. Using the account key, an encrypted content asset package may be generated. The asset key may make up at least a portion of the encrypted content asset package. The encrypted content asset package is decryptable with the account key. The encrypted content asset package and an identifier associated with the account key may be transmitted, for example to a playback device.
Operating system level management of group communication sessions
A device for providing operating system managed group communication sessions may include a memory and at least one processor. The at least one processor may be configured to receive, by an operating system level process executing on a device and from an application process executing on a device, a request to initiate a group session between a user associated with the device and another user. The at least one processor may be further configured to identify, by the operating system level process, another device associated with the other user. The at least one processor may be further configured to initiate, by the operating system level process, the group session with the user via the other device. The at least one processor may be further configured to manage, by the operating system level process, the group session.
NETWORK RESOURCE ACCESS CONTROL METHODS AND SYSTEMS USING TRANSACTIONAL ARTIFACTS
Methods and systems are provided for use with digital data processing systems to control or otherwise limit access to networked resources based, at least in part, on transactional artifacts and/or derived artifacts. The transactional artifacts and/or derived artifacts are processed based on transactional relationships between devices within the digital data processing systems.
Method and System for Managing at Least One Unique Data Record
Provided is a method for managing at least one unique data record, in particular a digital work of art, at a unique data record platform including the following steps receiving at the unique data record platform a creation request comprising raw data; creating, at the unique data record platform, the unique data record based on the raw data; verifying the uniqueness of the unique data record within at least a part of a unique data record ecosystem including the unique data record platform and/or at least one module associated with it; integrating, at the unique data record platform, the unique data record into the unique data record ecosystem on the basis of the uniqueness verification process; and automatically limiting access to the raw data used for creating the unique data record in the unique data record platform.
Access to an electronic asset using content augmentation
Methods, computer program products, and systems are presented and can include for instance: crowdsourcing data from a plurality of users via a computer network, the data including feedback data regarding digital rights click through documents, wherein each of the users is a party to at least one of the digital rights click through documents; storing the data obtained by the crowdsourcing into a digital rights history repository; examining a digital rights click through document of a certain user, wherein the digital rights click through document controls access to a digital asset, wherein the examining includes using at least a portion of the feedback data of the digital rights history repository; and augmenting content of the digital rights click through document based on a result of the examining.
Secure authenticated distance measurement
The invention relates to a method for a first communication device to perform authenticated distance measurement between the first communication device and a second communication device, wherein the first and the second communication device share a common secret and the common secret is used for performing the distance measurement between the first and the second communication device. The invention also relates to a method of determining whether data stored on a first communication device are to be accessed by a second communication device. Moreover, the invention relates to a communication device for performing authenticated distance measurement to a second communication device. The invention also relates to an apparatus for playing back multimedia content comprising a communication device.
System for interactive matrix manipulation control of streamed data and media
An interactive streaming media and application service provider system can securely stream high resolution, multiple formats of video and data. Different data sets can be included in a single stream. A rights management system controls matrix manipulation and other aspects of user control of the data, including one or more of rendering in various different 2D, 3D, or other media formats, reconstruction and modeling, zooming, frame grab, print frame, parental controls, picture in picture, preventing unauthorized copying, adapting to different data transmission formats, adapting to different resolutions and screen sizes, and actively control functionality contained in embedded data, encryption/decryption. Control can be exerted by an external entity through a user-side virtual machine. Control codes can optionally be embedded in the media, embedded in the user's device, and/or sent separately to the device.
DECOUPLING RIGHTS IN A DIGITAL CONTENT UNIT FROM DOWNLOAD
Systems and methods for enabling a user to obtain rights in a legitimate copy of a digital content unit without downloading the copy from a digital content store are provided. The systems and methods provide an encrypted copy of a digital content unit to a first user and transcript the encrypted copy to generate the legitimate copy to a second user. The encrypted copy is encrypted with a first encrypt key that may be associated with the first user and the legitimate copy is encrypted with a second encrypt key that may be associated with the second user.
Methods and systems for enabling communications between devices
Methods and systems for selectively connecting a user device on a first network to a peripheral device on a second network are provided. More particularly, a communication server controls the peripheral devices that are visible to a user device in a discovery process. In addition, the communication server limits the peripheral devices that are available to a user device to those peripheral devices that the user device is authorized to access. The system further enables a user device to operably connect to a visible peripheral device.
Transferring media files between users after encrypting with encryption key obtained from a digital rights management server
A method is disclosed for transferring a media file from a first user device to a second user device. The first user device receives a first media file, and receives a first digital rights management (DRM) license from a DRM server corresponding to the first media file. The first user device encodes the first media file into a second media file using the first DRM license, and transfers the second media file to the second user device.
