METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR TRANSMISSION OF A MESSAGE TO AUTHORIZED RECIPIENTS WITH SELECTED CONTENT
This invention discloses a novel system and method for selecting a featured operator based on demographic data associated with the featured operator's authorized recipients across one or more communications systems, integrating selected authorized content with a message, and then managing the transmission of the integrated message to the authorized recipients while tracking usage of the selected content.
Content delivery apparatus, user terminal device, relief management method and computer program
A content delivery apparatus, when a content delivery request is outputted from a user terminal device, encrypts the requested content with an encryption key, adds a view period to it to deliver it to a request source and delivers a viewing key in response to a view request from the user terminal device within the view period. A user relief management unit monitors failure information notifying, grasps a delivery disabled period from the failure information, specifies a delivery destination user for a content of which the view period is overlapped with the delivery disabled period and issues a relief right with a relief period specified thereto to the specified user. A contract period processing unit manages the relief right and permits viewing within the relief period set by the relief right when a view right based on the relief right is output from the user terminal device.
Tokenized media content management
A system and method for media content management include creating, via a digital vault, a container file comprising media content submitted by a user and content metadata; verifying, via the digital vault, a completeness of the content metadata associated with the media content in the container file; classifying, via the digital vault, the container file based on the completeness of the media content; identifying a salable content item that is to be put up for sale; creating, via the digital vault, a nonfungible token (NFT) container file and populating the NFT container file with the salable content item and NFT metadata; offering the specified ownership rights to the salable content item for sale via an NFT transaction; and updating the NFT container file to reflect a new owner of the ownership rights to the salable content after sale of the salable content item.
Method and apparatus for simultaneous key generation on device and server for secure communication
A secure communication system is disclosed for communication between first and second party devices. An input interface is provided for receiving from an external host a unique host factor in addition to a user input interface for receiving from a user a unique PIN for a user and a selection input for selecting one of the plurality of stored entropy stores as a user selected entropy store A first private key generator is operable for generating a private key using a key generation algorithm requiring the selected entropy store, the host factor and the unique user PIN. The second party device includes a second storage device for storing a plurality of entropy stores. An input interface is provided for receiving the same unique host factor as received by the first party device. A communication interface facilitates communication with the first party device to receive from the first party device a user PIN and an indication of the user selected entropy store. A second private key generator is operable for generating a private key using the predetermined key generation algorithm with the received user PIN, the received host factor, and an extracted entropy store corresponding to user selected entropy store, wherein the private key generated by both the first and second private key generators are identical. The session is initiated to cause the generation of the identical private keys at both of the first and second private key generators and allow secure communication between the first and second devices. The private key at at least one of the first and second devices is deleted at the end of the session.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING INFORMATION RIGHTS MANAGEMENT OFFLINE FILE FACILITY
Systems and methods for providing secure offline file access utilizing information rights management (IRM) are provided herein. In some embodiments, the method may comprise storing one or more IRM-protected documents in a secure local storage on a user device; storing one or more consumption licenses associated with the one or more IRM-protected documents in the secure local storage on the user device, wherein the one or more consumption licenses is required to access one or more IRM-protected documents; detecting a loss of network connectivity on the user device; writing the one or more consumption licenses to an IRM location in memory on the user device; receiving a request to open a document of the one or more IRM-protected documents; reading the consumption license from the IRM location in memory; and enabling access to the requested IRM-protected document based on the consumption license.
CONTENT PROTECTION
To protect digital content, a content player is installed on a content user device. A unique identifier for the content player installed on the content user device is provided to a central content storage entity. A license to play proprietary digital content stored on the central content storage is purchased from a storefront on the central content storage entity. The proprietary digital content includes an original work of authorship protectable by copyright. Content-player-specific digital content from the central content storage is downloaded to the content user device. The content-player-specific digital content includes encoded content of the proprietary digital content embedded with the unique identifier. The content player confirms that the unique identifier embedded with the encoded content matches the unique identifier provided for the content player before allowing play of the proprietary digital content on the content player.
Media distribution system with manifest-based entitlement enforcement
A method for enforcing entitlements includes configuring a wide variety of entitlements at a server; determining applicable combination of entitlements for a given client request; sending entitlements to the requesting client securely; handling entitlement information securely on a plurality of client devices at run time; storing entitlement information securely on a plurality of client devices for offline use; and enforcing entitlements on a plurality of client devices. The method employs manipulation of manifest files by a proxy that may be included in the client device or located in the network.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR SHARING, TRANSFERRING AND REMOVING PREVIOUSLY OWNED DIGITAL MEDIA
The invention provide systems and methods for management of digital media objects, comprising first and second client digital data processors (e.g., personal (or private) computers, laptops, dedicated music devices, electronic book readers, and so forth) that are in communications coupling with one or more stores (e.g, dedicated disk drives, flash drives, cloud storage, etc.). At least one digital media object (DMO) or copy thereof is stored in one or more of those stores and is accessible by at least one of the first and second client digital data processors.
Apparatus and method for protecting media content rights
A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a server having a controller to maintain content rights parameters associated with media content and a user where the content rights parameters include limits to distribution of the media content to a plurality of communication devices associated with the user and where a portion of the plurality of communication devices use different communication protocols from another portion of the plurality of communication devices, monitor for access to the media content by one communication device of the plurality of communication devices of the user, and obtain rights control data that is adapted to allow for presentation of the media content by the one communication device of the user where the rights control data is generated based on the content rights parameters. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Systems, Methods and Devices for Trusted Transactions
The invention discloses a system for enhancing trust in transactions, most particularly in remote transactions between a plurality of transactional parties, for instance a seller and buyer(s) of goods and/or services over a public computer network such as the internet. Trust is disclosed to be a multivalent commodity, in that the trust that is to be enhanced relates to information about the subject matter of the transactions (e.g., the suitability of the goods and services sold), the bona fides of the supplier of the goods and services, the appropriateness of a pricing structure for a particular transaction or series of transactions, a quantum of additional transactional value that may be imparted to the transactional relationship, security of information exchange, etc.
