Systems, methods and media for managing digital rights and pre-verification of structural integrity in three-dimensional (3D) printing are provided. In one example, a system comprises at least one module, executing on one or more computer processors, to receive a request from a user to print a 3D object by a 3D printer or printing service and receive a conditional authorization from an owner of digital rights in the 3D object to print the 3D object. The conditional authorization can include a printing specification or limitation. The at least one module pre-verifies, for structural integrity once printed by the 3D printer or printing service, a digital model on which the 3D object is based. In response to a received conditional authorization, the at least one module transmits instructions to the 3D printer or printing service to print the 3D object.

A game identifier of an encrypted streaming electronic game to be streamed to a playback device may be received. The game identifier may comprise a title of the encrypted streaming electronic game. An electronic ticket for access by the playback device to a secured portion of the encrypted streaming electronic game may be gathered. The electronic ticket may specify a first gameplay state. The electronic ticket may be used to access the secured portion of the encrypted streaming electronic game at the first gameplay state. One or more gameplay actions to transform the encrypted streaming electronic game to a second gameplay state may be received. The second gameplay state may be provided to a state server, where the state server configured to instruct a license server to modify the electronic ticket to specify the second gameplay state for the encrypted streaming electronic game.

An information processing apparatus includes: a correspondence-information storage unit configured to store therein correspondence information in which, with each piece of application identification information for identifying installed applications, usage authorization information related to usage authorization of the applications is associated; a specifying unit configured to, when a first request including the application identification information and requesting the usage authorization information is received from any of the applications, specify the usage authorization information associated with the application identification information included in the first request based on the correspondence information; and a notifying unit configured to notify the application of a requesting source of the first request of the usage authorization information specified by the specifying unit.

The user of any one portable terminal sends a content information request including a user ID to a distribution server. In response, the distribution server distributes a stream data of content that can be used on the user's terminal. If the user of first portable terminal intends to let a second portable terminal try out a certain content, the user sends to the distribution server the trial permission information including the user's own user ID, a content ID of the content of interest, and a digital signature. The distribution server authenticates the received information before distributing a streaming data of a trial-oriented content with the content ID and user ID attached to it as search keys. This allows the content that can be used on a given user terminal to be tried out on another user terminal without the latter user having recourse to the steps of searching for the content in question.

A method and system is provided, including an on-board server, by which, a link to the output unit is set up, and is assigned to a specific conveying means via a first key pair. A first secret key from the first key pair is stored on the on-board server. Before the use of the conveying means, an application is installed on the output unit and a second key pair is requested, a second secret key being transmitted to the application. Then, available information contents are displayed on the output unit, and a unique code is generated for each selected content. The selected contents are requested by the application and the unique code is assigned a third key pair. A third secret key is encrypted with the public keys and assigned to the on-board server. An information processing apparatus includes a data processing section for reproducing contents stored in a medium having a general purpose area in which encrypted contents and corresponding utilization controlling information are stored and a protected area including a plurality of blocks having access limitation set thereto and including a block having an encryption key for decrypting the encrypted contents stored therein. The data processing section acquires utilization controlling information corresponding to a content from the general purpose area, decides, based on the utilization controlling information, whether validity period information indicative of a content utilization permission period is to be acquired from the utilization controlling information or the encryption key storage block, acquires the validity period information based on a result of the decision and then compares the acquired validity period information and current date information to decide permission or inhibition of content reproduction.

Embodiments disclosed herein relate to determining authorization of a software product based on a first authorization item and a second authorization item. Each authorization item may be a file or a registry key. A processor 104 may determine whether use of the software product is authorized at a particular time period by comparing a first authorization item and a second authorization item.

Embodiments are directed towards dynamically changing a quality of content being played when a robustness or level of trust is determined to have changed for a computing device, or platform, currently playing at least one stream of the content. An initial level of trust is determined for the computing device, and is used to select a quality of content from the at least one stream of content for play. During play, when a change in the level of trust is detected for the computing device, a different quality of the content may be selected, and replaces the currently playing content.

A method for detecting against unauthorized transmission of digital works comprises the steps of maintaining a registry of information permitting identification of digital copyrighted works, monitoring a network for transmission of at least one packet-based digital signal, extracting at least one feature from the at least one digital signal, comparing the extracted at least one feature with registry information and applying business rules based on the comparison result.
