Access control systems and methods for multi-unit premises

A method for access control of premises having a plurality of units includes receiving a selection of one or more units of the plurality of units associated with the premises from a first user via a primary interface device communicatively coupled to a network. The method also includes sending a call to one or more secondary interface devices based on the selection. The one or more secondary interface devices can be located in the one or more selected units. Further, the method includes monitoring for a trigger condition after the call is sent to the secondary interface device. Upon occurrence of the trigger condition, the method also includes forwarding, via the primary interface device, the call to a mobile device of a second user associated with the one or more units.

Answering a call with client through a host

A client device may be used to initiate or answer calls using a host device connected to a network. For example, when a phone operating as a host device receives an incoming call from a network, the phone may communicate the presence of the incoming call to one or more client devices such as laptop, desktop, tablet, or wearable devices that are associated with the host device. When an answer call selection is made at a client, a call answered communication may be sent from the client device to the host device. The host device may then communicate with the network to connect the call to the host, and when the call is connected, the host may hand-off the call to the client that sent the call answered communication.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INTELLIGENT ROUTING OF NOTIFICATIONS OF INCOMING VOICE COMMUNICATION REQUESTS

This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media for intelligent routing of notifications of incoming voice communication requests. A device, such as a smartphone, may receive an incoming voice communication request, such as a cellular voice call. The smartphone may then identify devices connected to it, such as headsets, tablets, etc., and request each device activate a microphone or camera to attempt to locate the user with respect to the connected devices. The smartphone may then select one of the connected devices, or itself, as the device best able to notify the user of the incoming call based on captured audio, images, or video. The smartphone may then request the selected device output a notification, such as a ring tone, to notify the user of the incoming call. Such a technique may avoid inundating the user with simultaneous call notifications from multiple devices.

Certain aspects of the disclosure are directed to customized communication lists for data communications systems using high-level programming. According to a specific example, a data communications server is configured to interface with a remotely-situated client entity using a first programming language. The data communications server includes a communication control engine that is configured to provide a private branch exchange (PBX) for the client entity. The communication control engine is configured and arranged to identify client-specific sets of control data derived from instructions written in a second programming language that is compatible with the first programming language, and to control communication routing by determining whether to route incoming data communications in response to a comparison of at least one feature of the incoming data communications telephone communications and the client-specific sets of control data.

Forwarding a communication transmitted to a portable communications device based on talkgroup affiliation and override settings

Methods, apparatuses, and systems for forwarding a communication transmitted to a portable communications device. One method includes affiliating the portable communications device with a talkgroup, and, in response to affiliating the portable communications device with the talkgroup, receiving, at an electronic processor included in the portable communications device, forwarding configuration data associated with the talkgroup. The method also includes forwarding a communication transmitted to the portable communications device while the portable communications device is affiliated with the talkgroup based on the forwarding configuration data associated with the talkgroup and one or more override settings.

Actionable notifications

An actionable event notification disclosed herein provides actionable push notifications that allow an application server to collect information from end users. The actionable event notification includes a notification server that receives notification requests from application servers and communicates notifications to users where the notifications include specification for a notification UI form. In one implementation, the notification server modifies the callback identification on the notification from identification for the application server to identification for the notification server. A client device presents the notification UI form to a user to receive user responses. The user responses are communicated back to the notification server. The notification server processes the user responses and communicates them to the application server as necessary. Alternatively, the user responses are communicated directly to the application server requesting the notifications.

TELEPHONE SYSTEM, TELEPHONE SET, AND TELEPHONE TRANSFER METHOD

When a call is transferred from one telephone set to another telephone set, it is possible to enable a user of a transfer destination telephone set to recognize from whom a call came. A first telephone set (11) makes a call to another person. A second telephone set (12) is a telephone set to which the call is transferred from the first telephone set (11). Voice data acquisition means (13) acquires voice data of the other person on the call made by the first telephone set (11). Voice recognition means (14) performs voice recognition on the voice data acquired by the voice data acquisition means (13) and generates text data. Transfer destination text display means (15) displays the text data generated by the voice data recognition means (14) for a user of the second telephone set (12).
