Method and system for sharing television (TV) program information between set-top-boxes (STBs)
This technology relates generally to television set-top-boxes (STBs), and more particularly to sharing program information between STBs using voice communication. In one embodiment, a method of sharing television (TV) program information between STBs is disclosed. The method includes obtaining, by a control unit, program-specific-information of TV content selected by a first user using a first STB. The program-specific-information may be converted into a voice message by a Text-to-Speech (TTS) converter. The method further includes establishing, using a first Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) associated with the first STB, a voice call from the first STB to a second STB. The voice message associated with the program-specific-information may be transmitted from the first SIM to a second SIM associated with the second STB over the voice call using a first modulation scheme.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INTELLIGENT ROUTING OF NOTIFICATIONS OF INCOMING VOICE COMMUNICATION REQUESTS
This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media for intelligent routing of notifications of incoming voice communication requests. A device, such as a smartphone, may receive an incoming voice communication request, such as a cellular voice call. The smartphone may then identify devices connected to it, such as headsets, tablets, etc., and request each device activate a microphone or camera to attempt to locate the user with respect to the connected devices. The smartphone may then select one of the connected devices, or itself, as the device best able to notify the user of the incoming call based on captured audio, images, or video. The smartphone may then request the selected device output a notification, such as a ring tone, to notify the user of the incoming call. Such a technique may avoid inundating the user with simultaneous call notifications from multiple devices.

FORWARDING A COMMUNICATION TRANSMITTED TO A PORTABLE COMMUNICATIONS DEVICE BASED ON TALKGROUP AFFILIATION AND OVERRIDE SETTINGS
Methods, apparatuses, and systems for forwarding a communication transmitted to a portable communications device. One method includes affiliating the portable communications device with a talkgroup, and, in response to affiliating the portable communications device with the talkgroup, receiving, at an electronic processor included in the portable communications device, forwarding configuration data associated with the talkgroup. The method also includes forwarding a communication transmitted to the portable communications device while the portable communications device is affiliated with the talkgroup based on the forwarding configuration data associated with the talkgroup and one or more override settings.
Application customization using a customization file
Techniques and systems for receiving and using a customization file are provided, including a computing device, a method, or a computer-program product. For example, a method may include receiving a customization file that includes customized content for customizing a communication interface overlay. The method may further include accessing native application code and executing the native application code to run a native application. The method may further include accessing a compiled set of code that is separate from the native application code. The compiled set of code is accessible by the native application code. The method may further include executing the compiled set of code, wherein a default file of the compiled set of code provides a native communication interface overlay, wherein the native communication interface overlay is overlaid over a graphical interface of the native application, and wherein the native communication interface overlay allows communication with a resource of a third-party. The method may further include executing the received customization file, wherein executing the received customization file customizes the compiled set of code, and wherein the customized compiled set of code customizes the native communication interface overlay to provide a customized communication interface overlay.
Communication device
Data is transferred between a DECT terminal and an LTE base station. A base unit includes a DECT communication unit and an LTE communication unit, the DECT communication unit performing DECT communication with a DECT terminal, and the LTE communication unit transmitting and receiving data with the DECT communication unit and performing LTE communication with an LTE carrier gateway through an LTE base station. The DECT communication unit, in a case where an adjacent frequency bandwidth that is adjacent to one of DECT communication sub-bands is used in the LTE communication, controls the DECT communication to be performed by using the other sub-band.
Facilitating location of and interaction with a convenient communication device
A method includes the following steps. A request is received to locate one or more convenient communication devices for a recipient of an interaction request. A command is issued to search for the recipient at one or more communication devices. Information related to the recipient is received from the one or more communication devices. A convenience score is computed for each of the one or more communication devices based on the received information. The interaction request is forwarded to one of the one or more communication devices based on the one or more computed convenience scores.
Distributed Call Conflict Processing Method and System, Electronic Device, and Storage Medium
A distributed call conflict processing method and system. A first electronic device is near-field connected to a second electronic device, the first electronic device is a device having a telephone call function, and the first electronic device has a first SIM card. The first electronic device receives an incoming call event from a calling party, and obtains an incoming call SIM card identifier in the incoming call event; if a status identifier of the first SIM card indicates that the first SIM card is occupied, and a status identifier of the second electronic device indicates that the second electronic device is occupied, the first electronic device sends the incoming call event to the second electronic device; and the second electronic device outputs a prompt of an incoming call conflict.
Care Provider Coverage Filter for Communication Devices
Embodiments include methods, devices, systems, and non-transitory process-readable storage media for managing care provider coverage in a medical communication system. Some embodiments may include receiving from a first communication device associated with a first user a coverage request defining a coverage period and requesting that a second user associated with a second communication device provide care coverage for the first user, sending a notification of the coverage request to the second communication device including the coverage period and requesting agreement to provide care coverage for the first user, receiving from the second communication device an acceptance of the coverage request, and directing to the second communication device a message sent to the first communication device during the coverage period in response to receiving the acceptance of the coverage request.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CELLULAR AND LANDLINE TEXT-TO-AUDIO AND AUDIO-TO-TEXT CONVERSION
Systems and methods are provided for text-to-speech and speech-to-text conversion in wireless devices such as wireless telephones, remote facilities, and land-based devices such as land-line telephones. A wireless telephone, such as a personal cellular telephone, is provided that converts audio data such as a voice message into text data such that a user can view the contents of the voice message as text on the user's wireless telephone.
