METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SECURING VOICE OVER IP TELEPHONE DEVICE
A security implant device and a method of operation of the security implant, for securing Voice over IP (VoIP) phone, the implant device disables audio input and output components of the VoIP phone in order to prevent audio eavesdropping.
COMMUNICATIONS TERMINAL, A SYSTEM AND A METHOD FOR INTERNET/NETWORK TELEPHONY
A communication terminal for Internet telephony is provided that handles and control communication of data in accordance with a standardized network protocol and exchanges data with a connecting unit connected to the Internet where the resulting data exchanged between the terminal and a connecting unit consist of packets in a standardized protocol data packet format embedded in a wireless format. This provides a communications terminal which uses a network or the Internet for the transfer of digitized speech, etc., thereby achieving great economic savings. Also, the flexibility is increased with respect to wireless communication with the network or the Internet without any need for specialized equipment and functionality.
METHODS FOR MANAGEMENT THE STATE OF BUTTONS OF PERIPHERAL DEVICES, IMPLEMENTING SECURE REMOTE CONTROL OF THE USER INTERFACE, INTERACTION BETWEEN APPLICATIONS, AND ALSO THE ANSWERING MACHINE, PBX AND VOIP-CELL GATEWAY ON THE BASIS OF SMARTPHONES
Method for managing the state of buttons of peripheral devices of computers of any type (including smartphones, tablets, etc.) is considered in the context of safe management by the corresponding segment of the user interface in the automatic or remote mode without direct tactile communication with the user, but at his desire. Manipulation with buttons on peripheral devices is carried out by the button state change agent which is built in directly the peripheral device who in turn is controlled on the channel of interaction of the computer and the peripheral device means of the software of the computer. Based on the technical result of using appropriately implemented additional user interfaces are also claimed methods of remote management of the computer, interactions between applications and also implementations of the answering machine, PBX and the VoIP-Cell gateway on the basis of smartphones.
TELEPHONE BASE STATION FOR COMBINING MOBILE AND VOIP TELEPHONE SERVICE
A system, in accordance with one embodiment, includes a base station capable of being connected to at least one handset. The base station includes a first communication port configured to create a wireless connection to a first mobile telephone that is configured to place telephone calls via a first wireless network. The base station includes a second communication port configured to create a voice over internet protocol (VOIP) connection to a first telephone network. The base station includes a processing circuit coupled to the first communication port and the second communication port. The base station is configured to receive a first incoming call from the first mobile telephone via the first communication port, and send the first incoming call to the at least one handset, and receive a second incoming call via the second communication port, and send the second incoming call to the at least one handset.
Method for operating application providing group call service using mobile voice over internet protocol
Disclosed is a method and apparatus for providing a group call service using mobile voice over Internet protocol (mVolP). According to one embodiment, an interface is provided to transmit a request signal for a group call to members of a group chat room, and from among the group chat room members, it may be determined which members are able to participate in a group call as group call members. A new group call chat room may be created and include the group call members. The request signal may be transmitted in the created new group call chat room.
Transcription presentation of communication sessions
A method may include establishing a communication session with a remote device over a network. After establishing the communication session with the remote device, the method may include obtaining remote audio from the remote device that is provided by the remote device as part of the communication session. The method may also include directing the remote audio received from the remote device to a local device participating in the communication session and to a remote transcription system and obtaining transcript data from the remote transcription system based on the remote audio. The transcript data may include a transcription of the remote audio. The method may further include directing the transcript data to a television for presentation of the transcription of the remote audio by the television such that the transcription of the remote audio is presented substantially aligned with presentation of the remote audio by the local device.
Providing a unified communication history of a multi-modal communication
Methods are provided for providing a unified communication history of a multi-modal communication. In one aspect, a method includes receiving a plurality of event logs related to the multi-modal communication. The multi-modal communication comprises a first communication modality and a second communication modality that is different from the first communication modality. The method includes aggregating the one or more events from the event logs as a plurality of aggregated events and resolving an identity of each user from among the plurality of users in the plurality of aggregated events. The method includes storing the aggregated events into a communication history of the multi-modal communication. Systems and machine-readable media are also provided.
VOICE CALL MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUES IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for call continuity following radio link failure (RLF) through re-establishment of a voice call using a same or different radio access technology (RAT) before the call is dropped. Upon detection of RLF on a connection supporting a voice call, a UE may initiate a drop call timer and scan for available connections. The voice call may be attempted to be re-established if a connection is available on using a RAT of an existing connection. The voice call in such cases may continue without the call being dropped. Upon expiration of the drop call timer, the UE may attempt to establish a connection using a RAT identified during the duration of the drop call timer.
Hotel communication systems and methods
The present disclosure provides systems and methods for communicating with a hotel, for example, by establishing calls from a mobile communication device as an extension of a PBX of the hotel. The mobile communication device can receive, by a network interface, guest registration data for a guest of the hotel, including the room assignment and one or more guest service extensions on the PBX. The mobile communication device can store the guest registration data in electronic memory to configure the one or more guest service keys with the one or more guest service extensions. The mobile communication device can based on a selection of a key of one or more guest service keys, communicate directly with the PBX, by the network interface, to place and receive calls as an extension of the PBX associated with the hotel room assignment.
Determining whether a flow is to be added to a network
An example method of operating a network may include determining whether a flow is to be added to the network based on: a flow type of the flow, a link condition of the flow, and for each possible combination of flow type and link condition out of multiple flow types and multiple link conditions, the number of flows currently carried on the network that correspond to the respective combination.
