Apparatus and method for computer controlled call processing applications for skills-based routing in packet switched telephone networks
A method is presented comprising transmitting, from an application computer communicably connected to a call controller which is connected to a data network, packetized messages indicative of telephone calls in progress at an endpoint of the data network, or indicative of such endpoint, and transmitting, from the call controller to the application computer, packetized messages indicative of a variety of information contained in, or relevant to, the telephone calls so as to process such information for a variety of applications. Apparatus to implement the method is also presented.
Communication terminal, communication method and computer readable information recording medium
A communication terminal receives display data for displaying certain data on a screen of a display device and image data of an optical-to-electrical-converted image from another communication terminal via a communication network, includes a storage part storing reception information indicating whether the display data has been received by the communication terminal and arrangement information indicating at least one of a size and a position of the image based on the image data, in a manner of associating with one another; a reception part receiving the display data and the image data; an extraction part extracting, based on the reception information, the corresponding arrangement information from the storage part; and a display control part displaying the image using the image data based on the arrangement information extracted by the extraction part.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DIALLING A TELEPHONE NUMBER USING A VOIP PLATFORM AND A MOBILE RADIO
The present invention introduces a system (1) for IP telephony that is distinguished by the special interaction between a party (2) calling from a terminal connected to a router and an arbitrary called party (3, 4), which allows the costs for calls from the terminal to mobile radio networks and other networks to be substantially lowered, or even eliminates them completely, or settles the current call costs from the mobile radio network (9). To this end, a mobile radio (6) has a piece of software (7) installed on it that, together with an appropriately configured router (5), allows the IP telephony from terminals (2) connected to this router using a mobile radio network.
Mobile device with automatic switching between cellular and WiFi networks
A mobile communication device includes, in part, a cellular communication module, a first antenna adapted to receive and transmit data between the mobile communication module and a cellular network, a Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) communication module, a second antenna adapted to receive and transmit data between the Wi-Fi communication module and a VoIP network, a signal monitoring circuit, and a switching circuit adapted to switch an existing communication from the cellular communication module to the Wi-Fi communication module or vice versa.
Single-PDP dual stack serial dialing method and system
A method and system for single-PDP dual-stack serial dialing is provided. A mobile terminal sets a single-PDP dual-stack serial dialing parameter according to a parameter setting command transmitted by a host; then the mobile terminal initiates a PDP activation request to a mobile communication network according to a first dialing instruction transmitted by the host and the configured single-PDP dual-stack serial dialing parameter, acquires activation response information fed back by the mobile communication network, generates dialing response information according to the activation response information, and feeds back the dialing response information to the host, wherein the dialing response information includes cause reference information. And after receiving the dialing response information, the host can acquire a specific condition of the current mobile network according to the cause reference information included in the dialing response information to determine a dialing mode.
VoIP line seizure system and method
A system for yielding control of a network to a device configured to operate on a PSTN. The system includes a network configured to couple one or more devices to a PSTN, and a PSTN telephone, a PSTN security system, and an ATA and modem coupled to the network. The ATA and modem are configured to provide a VoIP interface between the network and the Internet and to provide a dial tone to the network. An access detector is coupled to the network to detect when the security system attempts to use the network.
Method and apparatus for providing special call handling for valued customers of retailers
The present invention enables users of a network service to register with the network as valued shoppers, thereby allowing them to receive specialized treatment when calling registered retailers. The present invention enables retailers to register with the network, thereby allowing them to set preferred service logic for handling valued customer calls by the network.
Unified communications IP phone using an information handling system host
A VoIP telephone provides basic VoIP capabilities, such as those defined by SIP, with an onboard communications engine that presents a user interface at a display. More complex communications capabilities are provided by interfacing the telephone with an information handling system and driving the user interface of the telephone with a UC application executing on the information handling system. For example, the telephone has an LCD that presents a number pad or basic telephone number list for interaction with the communications engine; however, UC application drives a user interface with greater processing power and storage available from the information handling system, such as an address book or communication actions not supported by the communications engine.
Dual-mode voice communications system
A dual-mode voice communications system includes a processor, and a first communication connection module, a second communication connection module, and a wireless transceiver module that are separately connected to the processor, where the first communication connection module is configured to realize a communication connection between the dual-mode voice communications system and an Internet Protocol (IP) base station, the second communication connection module is configured to realize a communication connection between the dual-mode voice communications system and an external communications device, the wireless transceiver module is configured to realize a communication connection between the dual-mode voice communications system and a wireless terminal device, and the processor is configured to process data transmitted by the IP base station, the external communications device, and the wireless terminal device.
TECHNIQUES FOR MANAGING AND APPLYING AN AVAILABILITY PROFILE
Techniques for managing and applying an availability profile are described. An apparatus may comprise a profile management component operative to store a profile for a user having a condition for activation, a user agent component operative to determine whether the condition is satisfied, a user location component operative to determine a location of the user, and a communication component operative to apply the profile to communication for the user if the condition is satisfied. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
