Multiple secondary device call controls and protocols

To control secondary devices of a subscriber whose primary device is subscribed to a mobile network, a secondary mobile directory number (MDN) and secondary device identifiers are employed. After the primary device is rung, an Authentication and Call Waiting Engine receives a request from a Telephony Gateway to retrieve identifiers of any secondary devices that are linked to a primary MDN of the primary device. Next, the Authentication and Call Waiting Engine retrieves a secondary device identifier for each secondary device that is paired with the primary device by searching a secondary device identifier database with the primary MDN to find all linked secondary device identifiers. A rules database may be applied to exclude secondary device identifiers based on time of day and day of the week. The Authentication and Call Waiting Engine transmits the list of qualified secondary device identifiers to the Telephony Gateway for ringing.

System, method and apparatus for call screening
09712670 · 2017-07-18 ·

Techniques, systems, apparatuses and methods to better interdict or screen calls without disturbing the callee. The phone user can implement a warning for unwanted human, i.e., live person callers, and a challenge or barrier for unwanted automated or robocalling, particularly the usage of a required response to a question. The warning and particularly the challenge would weed out undesired solicitations. The present invention also makes allowance for desired human, robotic or automated calling in addition to the proscripted calls.

On-screen caller ID with video playback and storage capability

Novel tools and techniques to enable video enhancements identifying the calling party of an incoming telephone call. In an aspect of some such tools, a video message from the calling party is sent to the receiving party through a communication channel in the provider network. Upon receiving an incoming telephone call at the provider network, the video message can be associated with the incoming telephone call, and routed to a video screen associated with the receiving party to show the video message for the receiving party as an indication of the incoming telephone call and identification of the calling party.

Contact management and dialing using conditional flow logic

A tool for contacts management and automated calling. The tool displays, by one or more computer processors, a contact page for adding a contact, wherein the contact page includes at least one conditional flow statement field. The tool program prompts, by one more computer processors, to configure the at least one conditional flow statement field. The tool saves, by one or more computer processors, the contact based on the at least one control flow statement field. The tool initiates, by one or more computer processors, an automated call to the contact based, on the at least one conditional flow statement field. The tool applies, by one or more computer processors, the at least one conditional flow statement field to the automated call to the contact.

Methods and systems for call processing

The present invention is related to telecommunications, and in particular, to methods and systems for processing call signaling data. In an embodiment, a call processing system receives a first message from a switch while the switch is processing a call for a calling party, wherein the first message is initiated at least partly in response to a firing of a call event trigger configured within a switch. The first message includes call signaling information, including the calling party's phone number. The calling party's phone number is stored in the call processing system. A communication channel is established over a network between the call processing system and a computer associated with the called party. A message is transmitted to the networked computer, the message including the calling party's phone number, wherein the calling party's phone number is intended to be displayed on the networked computer associated with the called party.

Cross Device Companion Application For Phone

Example apparatus and methods concern establishing context for a phone call. A computing device is controlled to display content and applications that are relevant for the call during the call. A party on the call is identified using data received from a phone used by the party. The relevant content and the relevant application are identified using actions (e.g., purchase to make, call to make) and intentions (e.g., family matter, business matter) identified in text provided in a text-based transcript of the call. The text-based transcript is provided in real time by a natural language processing (NLP) service during the call. The devices are controlled to selectively present the relevant content and the relevant application to make the call more automated and more productive. A to-do list is automatically generated based on the intentions, the actions, and on subject matter or content discussed or accessed during the call.

Caller relationship and risk assessment

The method includes identifying, by one or more computer processors, incoming data related to a source. The method further includes identifying, by one or more computer processors, data related to a recipient of incoming data from the source. The method further includes determining, by one or more computer processes, a relationship between the source and the recipient of the incoming data from the source. The method further includes calculating, by one or more computer processors, a risk indicator associated with the incoming data from the source based upon the identified data related to the source, the identified data related to the recipient and the determined relationship between the source and the recipient. The method further includes sending, by one or more computer processors, a notification to the recipient, wherein the notification includes at least the calculated risk indicator.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DEVICE AVAILABILITY SIGNALING
20170187872 · 2017-06-29 ·

A system and method for receiving and storing telephone status data (busy, off, free) of a contact, and transmitting such data over a data network to telephones that include such contact on contact list. An indication of the status of the contact may appear in association with the contact's other data on the contact list so that a user of the telephone storing the contact can determine if the contact is available without dialing the contact.

System, method and computer program product for service call identification

A method, system, and computer program product, include receiving a request for registration from a service provider, the request for registration comprising characteristic information of a service call to be initiated, determining whether the service receiver has authorized the request for registration, and upon the service receiver having authorized the request for registration, registering the characteristic information of the service call for the service receiver to enable the identification of the service call.

Telephone number adjustment

A method to adjust a phone number is provided. The method may include receiving a first phone call at a telephonic device and obtaining a phone number from the first phone call. In some embodiments, the phone number may identify an origin of the first phone call. The method may further include prepending a digit to the phone number and storing the phone number with the prepended digit in a memory in the telephonic device. In some embodiments, the method may further include using the stored phone number to initiate automatic placement of the second phone call.
