Methods and systems for authenticating a user on a call

Methods and systems described in this disclosure allow customers to quickly be authenticated. In some embodiments, a device and a user verifier are associated with a user profile. When a call is received from the device, the user may be requested to input the user verifier. After verifying that the device is unique to the user and that the user verifier matches the user verifier associated with the user profile, the user may be authenticated to the call or activity.

Systems and methods for providing context data associated with a communications session to the called device

Systems and methods for providing called devices with sets of context data associated with communication sessions are disclosed. In one implementation, a method for generating context data associated with a communications session may include receiving, from a calling device at a first subsystem, a request to establish a communications session. The request may include a first identifier associated with the calling device. The method may further include receiving, at a second subsystem, activities data associated with the calling device that transmitted the request to establish the communications session. The activities data may include a second identifier associated with the calling device and may be indicative of device activities of the calling device. In addition, the method includes determining, using the first identifier and the second identifier, that the received activities data is associated with the calling device that transmitted the request to establish the communications session, generating context data associated with the communications session based on the received activities data, generating visual content based on the generated context data, and establishing the communications session in response to receiving, from a user of the called device, an input command to accept the request.

Post-page caller name identification system

Caller Name Identification, or CNAM Caller ID, is a telecommunication end-user feature that appeared for PSTN landline customers in the late 1980s. The rapid development of cellular mobile and VOIP telephony systems lead to the frequent omission of the CNAM Caller ID feature. Described is an independent end-user system that obtains the CNAM Caller ID after the call page transmission. The system operates on the user's smartphone or on a TCP/IP connected computer. A user with multiple telephone devices (i.e. a smartphone, landline, and VOIP line) may share use of this system between all devices.

Dynamic enhanced call data assignment based on called numbers

One example method of operation may include identifying a call originated from a caller entity destined for a called entity at a call content server, identifying a called number associated with the called entity and a caller number associated with the caller entity, comparing a telephone number prefix associated with the called number with a number of enhanced call content data elements to identify a match, selecting one or more of the enhanced call content data elements to pair with the called number based on the match, and forwarding the selected enhanced call content data elements to the called entity.

Disclosed are example methods, systems, and devices for allowing caller computing devices to authenticate calls via a service provider computing system. Users may opt to have entities register to contact the user with a positive ID, icon, or other notification on the user's computing device transmitted by the service provider computing system. A caller computing device may use a unique security token of the user to activate the notification on the user's device. The user device may be used to exert control over the security token via a service provider client application running on the user device. The caller computing device may initiate authentication via an API call to the service provider computing system. The caller computing device is able to have items (text, images, documents, etc.) delivered to the user computing device if authenticated.

Voice call controller

A voice call controller (VCC) polls session border controllers (SBCs) to determine routing of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) calls and filter calls based on call source and originator parameters. The VCC re-routes calls in the event of errors, generates filters based on observed behaviors, and communicates filter rules or statistics to other entities.

Automatic caller identification translation

The invention provides an interrogator for obtaining information associated with a caller identification, such as a telephone number, transmitted within an incoming telephone call including: a receiving device configured to receive the incoming telephone call and to extract the caller identification from the incoming telephone call; an interrogating device configured to receive the extracted caller identification from the receiving device and to interrogate information associated with the caller identification from an external data base, which is configured to operate independently from the user voice communication device for which the incoming telephone call is intended for; and a forwarding device configured to receive and to forward the interrogated information.
