Systems and methods for authenticating a caller at a call center
A system for authenticating the identity of a caller (i) receives a phone call from a caller, where the phone call is initiated through an application on a remote computer device associated with the caller, and where the phone call includes one or more phone authentication credentials; (ii) determines a preliminary identity of the caller based upon the one or more phone authentication credentials; (iii) receives online authentication credentials from the application on the remote computer device; (iv) determines a confirmed identity of the caller based, at least in part, upon the one or more online credentials and the preliminary identity of the caller; and (v) displays the confirmed identity of the caller to a user answering the phone call. As a result, the user and/or the system do not need to perform additional authentication before providing service to the caller.
Additional information on a caller
To provide a called one with information on the caller, a reference to a resource containing real-time or near-real-time information relating to the caller, or information deduced using the real-time or near-real-time information, or the real-time or near-real-time information, or the information deduced using the real-time or near-real-time information, is transmitted with a connection establishment request, and the information in the resource or the received information is displayed to the called one before the requested connection is established so that the called one can make a decision whether or not to answer the call.
System and method for identifying unwanted communications using communication fingerprinting
A method for identifying communicators as wanted or unwanted based on messages from such communicators comprising receiving, by the data processing system, an inbound message from a communicator, comparing, by the data processing system, the inbound message to fingerprints stored in a database accessible to the data processing system, determining, by the data processing system, at least one match to the fingerprints, determining, by the data processing system, an identity of the communicator by determining whether and how likely the communicator is wanted or unwanted based on the at least one match to the fingerprints, and configuring, by the data processing system, handling of calls from the communicator based on the identity.
Providing additional information to called parties
A system, method, and computer readable medium for providing additional information to called parties comprises receiving a call from a calling party, performing a lookup of information associated with the calling party in a database, receiving the information from the database, and forwarding the information to a called party. The system comprises at least one device for receiving a call from a calling party, and at least one database for storing information associated with the calling party, wherein the at least one device is operable to perform a lookup of information associated with the calling party in a database, receive the information from the database, and forward the information to a called party.
Apparatus and method for providing incoming and outgoing call information in a mobile communication terminal
Methods and apparatuses are provided for providing information at an electronic device. Incoming call entries and outgoing call entries corresponding to phone numbers are displayed. Based on receiving a selection of one of the call entries, a first option is displayed for modifying prestored contact information associated with the phone number corresponding to the call entry, without displaying a second option for adding the phone number to the address book, and call history information is displayed for the phone number, when the phone number is in the address book. The prestored contact information associated with the phone number includes a name for the phone number. The second option is displayed, without displaying the first option, and the call history information for the phone number is displayed, when the phone number is not in the address book.

Method for qualifying the identity of a caller terminal
A method for qualifying identity in a communication network upon initiation by caller terminal of a communication to a called terminal is described. The method is performed by the called terminal and includes receiving at least one identity of the calling terminal certified by a trusted third-party, as well as at least one non-certified identity of the calling terminal, and presenting the user of the called terminal with information representative of at least one of the identities of the calling terminal, accompanied by an indication representative of a qualification information indicating whether the at least one identity of the calling terminal is or is not certified by a trusted third party.
TERMINAL AND OPERATING METHOD THEREOF
A terminal includes a communication interface for receiving a plurality of profile information from a plurality of terminals, an input/output interface for receiving a first signal generated by a user of the terminal based on a certain profile information of the plurality of profile information, and a processor for checking whether the terminal has a history of receiving a second signal from a terminal that provided the certain profile information, and for attempting, by the terminal, a video call to the terminal that provided the certain profile information depending on a result of the check, and the input/output interface may display the certain profile information and video call waiting time during the video call waiting time after attempting the video call.
Customization of CNAM information for calls placed to mobile devices
One example method of operation may include identifying a call from a calling device destined for a mobile device, responsive to identifying a calling device number assigned to the calling device, accessing a call content application programming interface (API), operated by a content delivery device, configured to deliver to the mobile device a first caller identification name (CNAM) or a second CNAM, assigned to the calling device number, determining a context assigned to a mobile device number assigned to the mobile device, selecting one of the first CNAM and the second CNAM based on the context, and assigning the selected CNAM to the call.
IN-VEHICLE HANDSFREE APPARATUS AND DATA TRANSFER METHOD
An in-vehicle navigation apparatus with a handsfree function establishes a Bluetooth communication link with a cellular phone. When receiving from the cellular phone outgoing call history data and incoming call history data, which were stored in the cellular phone before establishing the Bluetooth communication link, the in-vehicle navigation apparatus stores, in a work memory, the received outgoing call history data and the received incoming call history data, equally to, of the navigation apparatus itself, outgoing call history data and incoming call history data. An outgoing call operation then becomes possible using outgoing call history data and incoming call history data, which are stored in the work memory.
