User interfaces for a messaging application

In accordance with some embodiments, an electronic device is described. In some embodiments, while displaying a user interface of a messaging application, the device concurrently displays at least a portion of a representation of a message, where the message is included in a first message folder of a plurality of message folders, and the plurality of message folders. In some embodiments, while concurrently displaying at least the portion of the representation of the message and the plurality of message folders, the device detects user selection of a second message folder. In some embodiments, in response to detecting the user selection, the device moves the message from the first message folder to the second message folder such that the message is included in the second message folder, and displays a graphical indication that the message has been moved from the first message folder to the second message folder.

System and method for ring suppression

A system for ring suppression facilitates notification and handling of unwanted calls as desired by a recipient, and in particular without disturbing the recipient. A new social dimension of call presentation logic is now available to callers. A telephony device is configured to receive an incoming call. The incoming call includes a calling line identity (CLI). On the telephony device, individual contacts in an address book are searched for a match to the CLI. If a match is found, a first phone action is activated (such as ringing the phone). If a match is not found in the address book for the incoming CLI, a second phone action is activated (such as not ringing the phone, and displaying the CLI). In other words, a call that is not in the address book of the recipient (B party) is silenced.

System and method for provision of an advanced network function to a telecommunications device

Enhanced capabilities within a telephone network are made accessible to a telecommunications device. The telecommunications device is used to dial a sequence. A network server receives and identifies the sequence invokes an advanced network function. A advanced network function server in communication with the network server provides instructions as to how the network server is to provide the advanced network function. The network server processes the call in accordance with the received instructions to provide the particular advanced network function.

HANDS-FREE DEVICE, DATA TRANSFER METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM

A hands-free device is disclosed, in which a memory and a hardware processor connected to the memory are included. The hardware processor establishes a connection with a mobile phone using a hands-free communication protocol for making a hands-free call. The hardware processor establishes a connection with the mobile phone using a data transfer protocol for transferring phone data about a phone to receive the phone data transferred from the mobile phone, and stores the phone data into the memory. When a phone communication state of the mobile phone is transitioned while the phone data is being transferred, the hardware processor executes transfer control in accordance with transfer criteria, each depending on a type of the phone data being transferred and the phone communication state after the transition.

Control of incoming calls based on call settings
11108908 · 2021-08-31 · ·

An electronic device and method for control of incoming calls based on stored a plurality of call settings is provided. The electronic device receives a first call from a first caller party device associated with a first caller party. The electronic device transmits a first challenge message to the first caller party device based on the received first call. The electronic device further transmits a second challenge message to the first caller party device based on a first call setting of the stored plurality of call settings. The electronic device determines a time of receipt of a second call, different from the first call, received from the first caller party device. The electronic device further controls the second call based on a threshold time period, the determined time of the receipt of the second call, and a second call setting of a stored plurality of call settings.

AUTOMATIC JOINING OF SIMULTANEOUS OUTGOING AND INCOMING CALLS THAT HAVE THE SAME FAR-END CALLER ID
20210195021 · 2021-06-24 ·

Endpoints, such as telephones, on a communication network may request an interactive communication with another endpoint. While the request is being processed, the calling endpoint may receive a call from the called endpoint. Systems and methods are provided that automatically allow one endpoint to accept the incoming call, such as by joining the two calls, and terminating their outbound call. As a result, endpoints attempting to call each other may be connected with a single call without requiring any endpoint to be routed to voicemail due to their called endpoint being busy. Additionally, arbitration rules may be provided to resolve any “race condition” where both endpoints would otherwise each accept or each decline their incoming call.
