Systems and methods for controlling a mobile device cover
A mobile application running on a host mobile device is used to control the display of notifications, received by the host mobile device, on a mobile device cover. A single button on the mobile device cover is used to display, configure, and navigate through functionality menus of functions provided by the mobile device cover.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CURATION AND DELIVERY OF CONTENT FOR USE IN ELECTRONIC CALLS
Systems and methods are described herein for a computer-based communication application that displays, along with an incoming call notification, content specific to the parties involved. The application identifies electronic records of events attended by the users, and retrieves content specific to those records. For example, the application may identify electronic mail or meeting notifications sent between the users and concerning a particular subject matter. Images related to that subject matter are then retrieved and displayed during calls between those users. Users are thus presented with customized and personalized content specific to the subject matter of each call, thus helping them better recognize callers and more readily engage with the call.
CONFIGURABLE AUTO-ANSWER FOR INCOMING COMMUNICATION REQUESTS
Systems and methods are described that enable an incoming communication requesting a real-time (e.g., voice, voice-video, etc.) communication and selectively allowing the called communication device to auto-answer the communication. The selective answering may be rule and/or attribute based and depend, entirely or in part, on presence data of a user associated with the called communication device. Auto-answering may be further configured to auto-answer all or less than all of the communication media types (e.g., only auto-answer an audio-video call with audio). Additionally, or alternatively, rules may be combined, overridden, conditionally implemented, or otherwise combined or structured relative to other rules for auto-answering an incoming communication.
DYNAMIC ANTI-DISTURB TECHNIQUES IN TELEPHONY
Filtering incoming calls according to predicted preferences of a user. User preferences are predicted by analysis of user behavior, online activity, oral queues, and purchasing history. Data analysis includes weighting caller and user attributes according to a scheme that is dynamically updated by applying user feedback and/or machine learning processes.
Computing device and system for rendering contact information that is retrieved from a network service
A contact information system provides an independent network authority for providing contact information in connection with incoming calls or messages. The contact information system utilizes a database of communication identifiers to provide contact information for end user devices that receive incoming communications which specify communication identifiers that are stored in the database.
Voice communication method
An electronic device is disclosed. The electronic device includes one or more processors and memory storing one or more programs configured to be executed by the one or more processors. The one or more programs include instructions for receiving, from an external device associated with a contact, a request to establish a full-duplex live audio communication session between the electronic device and the external device; determining whether the contact is on a list; and in response to a determination that the contact is on the list, establishing the full-duplex live audio communication session between the electronic device and the external device, where the live audio communication session is established without receiving a user input that acknowledges the request.
Method for Selectively Accepting Phone Calls and Text Messages
In a method for selectively authorizing calls and text messages, it is determined if an identification code, such as CallerID or phone number, included with a call or text from a remote phone is also included in a table or list of identification codes accessible to a user phone. In the event of no match, a user notification means of the user phone is not activated and a prompt is sent to the remote phone requesting entry of a passcode into the remote phone. Upon receipt of the passcode entered into remote phone at the user phone, it is determined if the received passcode is also included in a table or list of passcodes accessible to a user phone. In the event of a match, the user notification means of the user phone is activated. Otherwise, the user notification means of the user phone is not activated.
Methods and systems for contact firewalls on mobile computing devices
Generating a contact firewall for protecting participants of a sender-controlled media (SCM) platform may include receiving an indication that a non-participant sender of the SCM platform has initiated contact with a participant recipient, using sender information associated with the contact instance to pole participants of the platform regarding a spammer status value for the sender, aggregating the spammer status values, and, based on a comparison of the aggregated spammer status values with a spammer threshold, causing future contacts from the sender to be rejected by the platform. Similar techniques may be implemented for generating a contact firewall for protecting members of a call group.
Management of media content associated with time-sensitive offers on mobile computing devices
A method may include receiving indication of initiation of a call from a sender to a recipient, determining an amount of time left in an offer from the sender to the recipient, generating a sender-controlled media (SCM) data structure by adapting a portion of the SCM data structure based on the amount of time left, and configuring caller ID for the call with a link to the generated SCM data structure. In another aspect, a method may include configuring visual caller ID for calls initiated by a user including a temporary item of visual content, and, upon receiving an indication of an initiation of a call, providing the temporary (and/or a permanent) item of visual content as visual caller ID based on a relationship between a current time and a time-limited use parameter of the temporary item of visual content.
Management of calls on mobile computing devices based on call participants
A call community contact firewall may include a caller ID capture function retrieving caller ID data for a call to a recipient who is a member of the call community, and a caller ID lookup function configured to retrieve a firewall status based on the retrieved caller ID data, where a firewall status database links caller ID data with call community ratings of prior calls. The call community contact firewall may also include a firewall action function implementing at least one call impacting action based on the retrieved firewalls status. In another aspect, a method may include accessing a secure sender-controlled media (SCM) data structure of a first contact participant in a digital exchange with a second contact participant, updating the instance with real-time content, and validating the first contact participant by comparing the real-time content with another portion of the secure SCM data structure.
