In telephone communication sessions, the telephone system is configured to audibly emit spoken utterances while simultaneously depicting a transcription of the spoken utterances on a display. When the telephone system is not employed in a telephone communication session, the telephone system is configured to display transcriptions of spoken utterances of people who are in proximity to the telephone system.

Subsequently, the information is provided to the receiving party based on the availability of the information in the database.

In another aspect, a method may include communicating a message to a content matching platform, and processing text of the message with NLP to generate NLP output including at least one of a theme, understanding, intent, and emotion of the message. A candidate hash tag may then be determined and communicated based on similarity of the NLP output with a plurality of hash tags.

A videophone apparatus and a method for automatically adjusting a videophone visual indicator are provided. The videophone includes a camera unit with an imager. Data from the imager and imager data processed by an image signal processor may be converted into a value that can be compared to a scale correlating to a brightness condition of an area in which the imager is located, allowing the brightness condition to be determined. The visual indicators of the videophone can be set to illuminate based upon the determined brightness condition. Thus, the brightness condition of a room can be determined using components already found on the videophone, without the need for additional sensors, hardware or software that increase the cost and complexity of the videophone.
