In some embodiments, an electronic device with a touch screen displays a phone call user interface which includes informational items associated with phone calls. In some embodiments, when the electronic device receives a request to initiate another phone call, the electronic device displays a contacts user interface including a plurality of contact user interface objects associated with respective contacts.

A method includes receiving a first incoming call request, displaying a first incoming call display interface on the screen based on the first incoming call request, playing a first video in the first incoming call display interface, receiving a second incoming call request, displaying a second incoming call display interface on the screen based on the second incoming call request, and playing a second video in the second incoming call display interface, where the first incoming call request and the second incoming call request are two call requests consecutively received by the electronic device, and the first video is different from the second video.

The alert is sent through the user-user information field of a call setup message, and it may override the audio and video settings of the called party apparatus and overcome the current outputs of audio and video signals, so that it can be seen by the called person before it answer the call. The alert may be accompanied by personal information of the caller, in order that the recipient can ascertain the caller identity.

The present disclosure describes techniques for verifying an identity of an originating device that initiates a VoIP communication with a recipient device. Specifically, an attestation parameter module is configured to detect a call request associated with a VoIP communication that is initiated by an originating device. The attestation parameter module may authenticate an identity of the originating device, and in doing so, insert an attestation parameter into an identity header of a modified SIP INVITE message sent to the recipient device. In response to receiving the modified SIP INVITE message with the attestation parameter, the telecommunication network associated with the recipient device may verify the identity of the originating device based on the attestation parameter included within the SIP INVITE message. In some examples, the attestation parameter module may generate and insert an attestation parameter within a modified SIP INVITE message that is initiated in a SIP/non-SIP telecommunication network.

The present disclosure describes techniques for verifying an identity of an originating device that initiates a VoIP communication with a recipient device. Specifically, an attestation parameter module is configured to detect a call request associated with a VoIP communication that is initiated by an originating device. The present disclosure describes a system, method, and computer-readable medium for providing audio announcement of communications to a called party in a communication network. The method includes receiving communication from a calling party and performing a lookup of information relating to the calling party in a database via an Internet Protocol connection based on an identifier of at least one of the calling party and the called party. The information comprises one or more audio files. The method then provides the audio announcement to a called party based on the audio files.

A process for real-time data exchange allows for sharing data, including metadata such as user data and phone data, between multiple handsets so that handsets may automatically display such data upon initiation or establishment of a telephone call, and in some arrangements throughout the life of the call. In this way, the need for subsequent data transmissions is reduced or eliminated, making bandwidth usage more efficient and conserving battery power.

An in-vehicle navigation apparatus with a handsfree function establishes a Bluetooth communication link with a cellular phone. When receiving from the cellular phone outgoing call history data and incoming call history data, which were stored in the cellular phone before establishing the Bluetooth communication link, the in-vehicle navigation apparatus stores, in a work memory, the received outgoing call history data and the received incoming call history data, equally to, of the navigation apparatus itself, outgoing call history data and incoming call history data. An outgoing call operation then becomes possible using outgoing call history data and incoming call history data, which are stored in the work memory.
