Additional information on a caller
To provide a called one with information on the caller, a reference to a resource containing real-time or near-real-time information relating to the caller, or information deduced using the real-time or near-real-time information, or the real-time or near-real-time information, or the information deduced using the real-time or near-real-time information, is transmitted with a connection establishment request, and the information in the resource or the received information is displayed to the called one before the requested connection is established so that the called one can make a decision whether or not to answer the call.
System and method for ring suppression
A system for ring suppression facilitates notification and handling of unwanted calls as desired by a recipient, and in particular without disturbing the recipient. A new social dimension of call presentation logic is now available to callers. A telephony device is configured to receive an incoming call. The incoming call includes a calling line identity (CLI). On the telephony device, individual contacts in an address book are searched for a match to the CLI. If a match is found, a first phone action is activated (such as ringing the phone). If a match is not found in the address book for the incoming CLI, a second phone action is activated (such as not ringing the phone, and displaying the CLI). In other words, a call that is not in the address book of the recipient (B party) is silenced.
Identifying caller name for output on mobile phone devices
According to one embodiment, a method includes: receiving an incoming phone call on a mobile phone device, determining a phone number from which the incoming phone call originated, accessing a remote site for determining a name associated with the phone number, accessing the remote site for determining additional information associated with the phone number, and outputting the name and additional information associated with phone number from which the incoming phone call originated on the mobile phone device. Other methods, systems, and computer program products for determining a name associated with an incoming phone call are also described.

DEVICE CAPABLE OF NOTIFYING OPERATION STATE CHANGE THEREOF THROUGH NETWORK AND COMMUNICATION METHOD OF THE DEVICE
An example method of notifying a user of a message received by a first device of the user includes connecting, by the first device, to a second device of the user through a local communication network, wherein the second device is currently registered by the first device; receiving, by the first device, a message, from an external device of another user; in response to determining the first device is not currently being used when the message is received, determining whether the registered second device is currently being used; and transmitting notification information of the received message to the second device currently being used by the user, wherein a notification regarding the received message is displayed on a display of the second device currently being used by the user.

SYSTEM AND METHOD TO SILENCE OTHER DEVICES IN RESPONSE TO AN INCOMING AUDIBLE COMMUNICATION
A user's set top box detects the ringing of a telephone, mobile device or other type of audible notification of an incoming call or message and, in response, sends a command causing a current audio level of the television programming or other media currently being played to decrease such that the audible notification can be heard by the user. A device silencing manager on the set top box may detect the audible notification occurring by the sound waves of the audible notification from the mobile device picked up by a microphone of the receiving device. Additionally or alternatively, a device silencing manager on the set top box may wirelessly receive, either directly or indirectly from the mobile device, an electronic notification of the audible notification.

PROFILE PICTURE DISPLAY METHOD BASED ON IMS CALL, STORAGE DEVICE, AND MOBILE TERMINAL
Disclosed in the present invention are a profile picture display method based on IMS call, a storage device, and a mobile terminal. In the method in the present invention, when an IMS call connection is established between mobile terminals, the two mobile terminals exchange profile picture information of users of the mobile terminals, and match the latest profile picture of the opposite user with a local address book; when finding that the profile picture of the opposite user is vacant or needs to be updated, the mobile terminal obtains the latest profile picture of the opposite user, updates the latest profile picture to the local address book for storage, and displays the latest profile picture of the opposite user on its call interface.
Electronic device, control method and non-transitory storage medium for executing a process related to an incoming call according to a response method
An electronic device comprising: a display; a communication unit; a storage configured to store response method data in which pre-set keywords and response methods corresponding to incoming calls are associated with each other; and a processor configured to, when an incoming call containing a text message comes in, acquire the response method data that is stored in the storage and execute a process relating to the incoming call according to a response method that is defined in the response method data.
