A smart address book service configured to provide contextual information from a user's address book or contacts database so that when a user enters information into a device such as a smart phone, the service can correlate information from the contacts database with the user's entered information, look at additional context of what the user is doing/has done, and provide action options for the user to select. Thus, the service can discern what the user is likely trying to achieve based on contextual information provided by or through the smart phone, and pull corresponding data from the user's contacts database (on the user's equipment, e.g., smart phone, and/or from an address book associated with the user and stored on servers of the user's telecommunications service provider) as well as from the Internet to provide information necessary for the user to achieve the objective.

A method applicable to a multi-subscriber identity module (SIM) call management process includes parsing, by a managed device, an incoming call to obtain call information, determining a communications circuit corresponding to a called identifier, and when the managed device has performed an incoming call shielding setting on the communications circuit in response to a remote management instruction sent by an entitlement server (ES), skipping responding, by the managed device, to an incoming call event, or receiving, by the server, a remote management instruction from the ES, and deleting or freezing routing information corresponding to an identifier in response to the remote management instruction such that a communications circuit corresponding to the identifier in the managed device is unable to respond to an incoming call event.

A mobile terminal and controlling method thereof are disclosed, by which image data of a counterpart having triggered an event can be displayed. The present invention may include a display unit configured to display information, a wireless communication unit configured to communicate with an external server that stores first image data and to communicate with a counterpart terminal, a memory to store a second image data, and a controller, in response to an event triggered by the counterpart terminal, to extract an image data related to a counterpart from one of the first image data and the second image data, and the controller to output the extracted image data on a portion of the display unit to notify an occurrence of the event.

A device, system and method for transmitting one or more of annotations and video prior to a video call is provided. A communication device receives a request for a video call from a first communication device, of other communication devices. Prior to the video call being established, the communication device: determines whether a user of the first communication device is an authorized caller; and when the user of the first communication device is an authorized caller, transmits, to the first communication device, one or more of annotations received at the input device and video from a video camera. The determination of whether a user of the first communication device is an authorized caller is based on profile data associated with users of one or more of the other communication devices.

A method of notifying a user of a message received by a first device of the user is provided. The method includes connecting, by the first device, to a second device of the user through a local communication network, wherein the second device is currently registered by the first device; receiving, by the first device, a message, from an external device of another user; in response to determining the first device is not currently being used when the message is received, determining whether the registered second device is currently being used; and transmitting notification information of the received message to the second device currently being used by the user, wherein a notification regarding the received message is displayed on a display of the second device currently being used by the user.

A method of notifying a user of a message received by a first device of the user is provided. The method includes connecting, by the first device, to a second device of the user through a local communication network, wherein the second device is currently registered by the first device; receiving, by the first device, a message, from an external device of another user; in response to determining the first device is not currently being used when the message is received, determining whether the registered second device is currently being used; and transmitting notification information of the received message to the second device currently being used by the user, wherein a notification regarding the received message is displayed on a display of the second device currently being used by the user.

A method for processing contact information includes displaying a list of contacts on a display of a wireless terminal, determining a first contact from the list of contacts in response to a selection of a user, obtaining a web log address and an online shop address of the first contact, obtaining, from a network service, a first content corresponding to the web log address and the online shop address of the first contact, and displaying the first content on a first area of the display, where the first content is dynamically updated.

The embodiments herein relate to method and a UE for facilitating communication between end users. The method comprises: receiving an incoming communication from a another UE; displaying identification information of the other UE and at least one previously generated note, said note being previously generated by a user of the UE and being associated to the identification information of other UE; and simultaneously displaying validity timing information indication for how long the at least one note should be valid.

A contact-note application is disclosed herein that runs in a computing device. When a phone call event occurs, the contact-note application is notified and responsively surfaces a prompt over a user interface to a phone call application. When the prompt is selected, the contact-note application surfaces a user interface to the contact-note application. The user interface provides the end-user with a view of a note associated with a contact on the phone call such that they user may create, edit, and consume the note.
