Voice sensing using multiple microphones

A noise cancelling headset includes an earpiece, the earpiece including a feedback microphone, a feed-forward microphone, and an output driver. A first feedback filter receives an input from at least the first feedback microphone and produces a first filtered feedback signal. A first feed-forward filter receives an input from at least the first feed-forward microphone and produces a first filtered feed-forward signal. A first summer combines the first filtered feedback signal and the first filtered feed-forward signal and produces a first output signal. An output interface provides the first output signal as an output from the headset.

Localizing binaural sound to objects

An electronic device identifies a location of a physical object that is away from a listener. The electronic device convolves sound so the sound externally localizes as binaural sound to the physical object. The sound plays to the listener through earphones so the listener hears the sound as emanating from the physical object.

HEARING PROTECTOR SYSTEMS

A hearing protection device is presented. The hearing protection device includes a first hearing protection unit and a second hearing protection unit. Each of the first and second hearing protection units include a microphone that receives ambient sound, a processor that provides level dependent attenuation of the ambient sound, and a speaker that broadcasts the sound into a user's ear. The hearing protection device also includes a first communication unit, which broadcasts a digital push-to-talk signal over a first communication protocol. The first communication protocol is a low energy communication protocol. The hearing protection device also includes a second communication unit, which broadcasts a digital communication signal over a second communication protocol. The hearing protection device also includes a processor that facilitates pairing of the hearing protection device with a mobile device that receives the push-to-talk signal and, based on the push-to-talk signal, receives the digital communication signal and transmits the digital communication signal over a cellular network.

Portable electronic device control

Electronic devices such as compact portable media players are provided. A housing for an electronic device may be relatively compact. The housing may include a door assembly with an attached spring-loaded clip. The electronic device may include a hold switch. Depending on the state of the hold switch, the electronic device may be in an off mode, a continuous playback mode, or a shuffle playback mode. The electronic device may not have integrated media playback controls such as play, pause, rewind, fast forward, etc. As one example, the electronic device may connect to an accessory that has media playback controls. Buttons and other user interfaces may be included in the accessory and user input information may be conveyed between the accessory and the electronic device using a wired path including audio connectors. The electronic device may include a printed circuit board assembly that is nested together with a battery assembly.

AUDIO APPARATUS, SENSOR MODULE AND USER DEVICE

An audio apparatus is described for communicating with a user device, the audio apparatus comprising: a sensor configured to sense a user input and to generate an input signal representing the user input; and electronic circuitry operable to receive the input signal. The electronic circuitry is configured to: process the input signal, and generate a control signal for controlling at least one switch based on the input signal.

A mobile terminal according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a microphone configured to obtain and provide an input sound source, an earphone connection module configured to support connection and communication with an earphone, and a hearing aid application configured to set a sound source fitting condition corresponding to a user hearing threshold, convert the input sound source obtained through the microphone into a corrected sound source according to the sound source fitting condition, and then output the corrected sound source to the earphone.

System, medium, and method for real-time data services based on geo-location information

Embodiments of the present invention provide a communicable integration of a user network of devices and a vendor system. Embodiments receive, at the vendor system from the user network of devices, a request for provisioning of products by a vendor; determine a provisioning location for provisioning of the products by the vendor; continuously identify a real-time location of the user via the one or more components of the user network of devices; continuously calculate a real-time first limit based on the continuously identified current location of the user and the provisioning location; calculate a total time to provision the products comprising a sum of a product preparation time and the real-time first limit; and optimize delivery of the products based on the total time to provision and the real-time location of the user.

Audio announcement prioritization system

Systems and methods for prioritizing audio announcements are provided. In one embodiment, a method can include obtaining, by one or more processors associated with a computing device, an audio notification that comprises a message and a preferred priority associated with the message. The method can include determining, by the one or more processors, an assigned priority associated with the message based at least in part on a content of the message and the preferred priority associated with the message. The method can include generating, by the one or more processors, an output indicative of the message and the assigned priority associated with the message. The method can include providing, by the one or more processors, the output to an audio device to audibly produce the output based at least in part on the priority associated with the message.

User Input Peripheral

A peripheral device for use with a user terminal, the peripheral device comprising: a non-graphical actuator operable to be actuated by a user; an interface for connecting to the user terminal; and control logic for interfacing with the user terminal in order to control a communication client application running on the user terminal, and to thereby control a voice or video call that is conducted over a packet-based network from the user terminal using the communication client application. The control logic is configured such that the control of the call comprises performing a function in relation to the call in response to actuation of said hardware actuator by the user, and furthermore that the function of the actuation of the actuator is dependent on a current status of the call.
