ATTACHING MULTIPLE PHONE LINES TO A SINGLE MOBILE OR LANDLINE PHONE
20200120206 · 2020-04-16 ·

Agencies issue multiple devices to personnel for maintaining distinct identities over the course of assigned investigations. To provide flexible capabilities to agencies, a phone is converted for use with multiple attached telephone numbers. Accordingly, a single phone may be used to manage multiple identities over the course of one or more investigations. Using a multiple attached number, a given device can place and receive calls over the network to and from contacts. In addition to providing multiple attached numbers, calls using the multiple attached numbers may be monitored live and recorded to establish evidence.

TERMINAL DEVICE AND RECORDING MEDIUM FOR ORIGINATING SIGNALS
20200112632 · 2020-04-09 ·

An acquisition unit acquires a reference time that is a reception time when a signal was received from another terminal or a call origination time when the other terminal device transmitted a signal. A storage stores a call origination time when a signal was transmitted to the other terminal device. A controller selects, by referring to the reference time acquired by the acquisition unit and the call origination time stored in the storage, a first communication mode in which communication is started after a predetermined user operation is performed in the other terminal device or a second communication mode in which communication is started even when the predetermined user operation is not performed in the other terminal device. A communication unit transmits a signal to the other terminal device in accordance with the communication mode selected by the controller.

Text message transmission apparatus and method thereof

A text message transmission apparatus and a method thereof are provided. The text message transmission apparatus includes a mobile network communication module, a subscriber line interface circuit (SLIC) module and a processor. The mobile network communication module receives a text message. The SLIC module is configured to connect to a traditional telephone set in a public switched telephone network (PSTN). The processor is coupled to the mobile network communication module and the SLIC module. The processor decodes the text message to obtain a text content of the text message, transforms the text content into a speech content, and plays back the speech content through the SLIC module. Accordingly, the text messages can be transmitted through the PSTN.

Observation platform for using structured communications

In a method of observing users of communication devices, a central computer system recognizes a first user associated with a first communication device and a second user associated with a second communication device. The central computer system observes a communication between the first communication device and the second communication device, wherein at least a portion of the communication is an audible communication. The central computer system relays the communication between the first communication device and the second communication device. The central computer system identifies features of the communication and makes the features available for decision making purposes.

System and method for control based on face or hand gesture detection

System and method for control using face detection or hand gesture detection algorithms in a captured image. Based on the existence of a detected human face or a hand gesture in an image captured by a digital camera, a control signal is generated and provided to a device. The control may provide power or disconnect power supply to the device (or part of the device circuits). The location of the detected face in the image may be used to rotate a display screen to achieve a better line of sight with a viewing person. The difference between the location of the detected face and an optimum is the error to be corrected by rotating the display to the required angular position. A hand gesture detection can be used as a replacement to a remote control for the controlled unit, such as a television set.

Integrating additional information into a telecommunications call

Methods, systems, and apparatus include computer programs encoded on a computer-readable storage medium, including a method for providing information. A request is received by a call routing server to establish a call between a client device and a remote telecommunications device. A given transmission criterion that triggered distribution of the particular digital component to the client device is determined by a call context server. A set of contextual information that is mapped to the given transmission criterion is identified, by the call context server, in a data store storing a mapping of transmission criteria to contextual information. The client device is connected, by the call routing server, to the remote telecommunications device using the phone number. The set of contextual information is transmitted to the remote telecommunications device or a computing device that is associated with the remote telecommunications device while the call is being connected or in progress.
