An on-vehicle hands-free apparatus according to the present disclosure enables a hands-free call by being connected to a mobile phone in a wireless or wired manner. The on-vehicle hands-free apparatus includes a memory, and a hardware processor coupled to the memory. The hardware processor is configured to: cause the mobile phone to execute an outgoing/incoming call using a phone function of the mobile phone based on outgoing/incoming call history data or phone book data stored in the mobile phone, the outgoing/incoming call history data including a phone number transmitted and received by the mobile phone; and acquire the outgoing/incoming call history data including a phone number of a counterpart of a call from the mobile phone when the call is terminated on the mobile phone.

Techniques for notifying multiple recipient devices of a communication request are described. The system may determine a score corresponding to each of the recipient devices and may notify the devices based on the score. The system may cause a first recipient device to output a notification for the communication request for a duration of time. After the duration of time elapses, the system may cause a second recipient device to output a notification for the communication request.

Message-based interactive voice response (IVR) menu reconnection is used to reconnect a calling device to a destination at a specific node of a call path after the calling device disconnects from a call with the destination. Menu options of an IVR service presented during a call between the calling device and the destination are determined responsive to the calling device disconnecting from the call. A message including one or more selectable elements each associated with one of the menu options is then transmitted to the calling device. Responsive to a selection of a selectable element at the calling device, the calling device is connected to a destination endpoint. Thus, where the calling device had partially or fully traversed an IVR service during the call, the message-based IVR menu reconnection disclosed herein enables the calling device to reconnect to the destination without having to repeat that IVR service traversal.

Next, it is determined when the one of the call initiation techniques in the intercepted request is in a subset of the plurality of call initiation techniques configured to integrate at least a part of media control negotiation and call establishment. One or more fields of the intercepted request is modified to disable the one of the plurality of call initiation techniques that is configured to integrate at least a part of media control negotiation and call establishment when the determination indicates the one of the plurality of call initiation techniques is in the subset. A permission is provided to the first mobile device to initiate the call with the second mobile device using a sequential call establishment and media control negotiation technique.

The technology discloses intercepting a request to initiate a call configured to utilize one of plurality of call initiation techniques. The present invention relates to a method for operating a device characterized in that it comprises the following steps of, performed by a processing unit of the device: determining (a) that a notification is to be outputted through a user interface of the device during an unavailability time period; postponing (b) outputting said notification until after the occurrence of an event indicative of the availability of a user of the device.

A method and system implemented by a network entity. The method comprising accessing communication routing information associated to a party. The communication routing information being indicative of at least a first termination device to which incoming communications for the party are to be routed. The method further comprises monitoring at least one of location information, presence information and behavior information associated to the party and processing the communication routing information and the at least one of the location information, presence information and behavior information at least in part on the basis of modification information in an attempt to determine the suitability of modifying the communication routing information. When it is determined that the communication routing information is suitable for modification, causing the party to be advised.

A method and system implemented by a network entity. The method comprising accessing communication routing information associated to a party. The communication routing information being indicative of at least a first termination device to which incoming communications for the party are to be routed. The method further comprises monitoring at least one of location information, presence information and behavior information associated to the party and processing the communication routing information and the at least one of the location information, presence information and behavior information at least in part on the basis of modification information in an attempt to determine the suitability of modifying the communication routing information. When it is determined that the communication routing information is suitable for modification, causing the party to be advised.

A method for displaying at least one communication datum on at least one display device disposed in a living space of at least one resident including at least the following steps: receiving by an electronic device a communication datum from a computer server, sending by the electronic device a notification to a control device including a single control button, actuating the single control button, and sending by the control device, a control datum to the electronic device through a wireless communication, sending from the electronic device the first communication datum to the display device, and displaying by said display device said first communication datum.
