10674008 · 2020-06-02 · ·

The present disclosure provides details of a system and method for detecting and monitoring a contraband device including communication devices by utilizing a combination of mobile devices, fixed monitoring devices, and a contraband monitoring center. The mobile devices include smart phones or tablets that are borrowed, rented, or purchased by an inmate from a correctional facility. These mobile devices are configured to detect, monitor, and intervene in the communications of target devices. Further, the mobile devices are configured to communicate with fixed monitoring devices located throughout the correctional facility in performing intervention operations. The contraband monitoring center may also be utilized in the coordination, monitoring, and intervention of target devices.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SERVICE DELIVERY

A system and method for an interruption free copper cable interception and re-routing from an existing service to a new service avoiding transmission effects during the changeover is provided. The system uses a tap line and one or more termination modules to disconnect the existing service before new service is added. Test access is also provided through use of the termination module. Non-active pairs of wires are eliminated during re-routing from an existing service to a new service. Further systems and methods are provided for removing the termination module.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING BACKUP PUSH-TO-TALK FUNCTION IN STUCK MICROPHONE CONDITION

A method and system provide a backup push-to-talk (PTT) function for a transmitter in a stuck microphone condition. The method determines whether a stuck microphone condition exists in the transmitter, and if the stuck microphone condition exists, the method alerts a user that the stuck microphone condition exists. The method then enables a backup PTT interface for the transmitter such that a backup PTT button is available to the user to activate the backup PTT function. The method alerts the user when the backup PTT function is activated, and sends a message to a receiver after the backup PTT button is engaged by the user.

Controlled Recorded 3-Way Calling

Agencies issue recording devices to personnel for administrating and monitoring controlled calls during the course of their duties. To provide flexible capabilities to agencies, a virtual number is provisioned and configured to enable an operator to administrate controlled calls without dedicated recording devices. Using the virtual number, the operator may setup a controlled call between a victim and a baddie. The victim is contacted via the virtual number by the operator and optionally informed about the controlled call process. In turn, the baddie is contacted using number information of the victim's phone and connected with the victim. Call audio between the victim and baddie is transmitted to the operator. When necessary, the operator may terminate the call remotely from the telephonic device the operator used to setup the call.

A mobile device having phoning capabilities also include capabilities to optionally reduce an operating load on a centralized mobile carrier voicemail system. The user of the mobile device is presented with a notification of an incoming call and is provided with an opportunity to answer the call in a traditional fashion, to optionally engage the centralized mobile carrier voicemail system, or to instead have the mobile device manage options relating to locally obtaining a voicemail from a maker of the incoming call. When the mobile device manages obtaining a voicemail from the maker of the incoming call, the voicemail is originally obtained and is stored locally, without use of centralized carrier resources at the time of recording the voicemail, and the mobile device can also play the recorded voicemail at any time without use of the centralized carrier resources.

System and method for intelligent call interception and fraud detecting audio assistant

A fraud analysis computing system is provided. The system includes a network interface configured to communicate data over a network and a processing circuit including one or more processors coupled to non-transitory memory. The processing circuit is configured to monitor incoming call data generated during an incoming call between a user and an incoming caller, detect a fraud trigger within the incoming call data, and complete a fraud interception activity in response to detection of the fraud trigger.

VOICE COMMUNICATION METHOD, VOICE COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, AND VOICE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A voice communication method, a voice communication apparatus, and a voice communication system are disclosed. The method includes: at a transmitting side, obtaining voice information; determining whether the voice information is uttered by a preset user, and transmitting the voice information to a peer device if it is determined that the voice information is uttered by the preset user, and prohibiting the transmission of the voice information otherwise; and at a receiving side, receiving voice information transmitted from a peer device; collecting a first environmental information, and determining whether the first environmental information meets a voice output condition; outputting the voice information if it is determined that the first environmental information meets the voice output condition, and prohibiting the output of the voice information otherwise.
