Various media or other related information may be provided during a call between a calling device and a called device. One example method of operation may include initiating a call via an origination device to a recipient device, transmitting a call notification to an enhanced information server responsive to initiating the call, retrieving enhanced information associated with the intended recipient device and/or the origination device, transmitting the enhanced information to the intended recipient device and/or the origination device, and connecting the call between the origination device and the intended recipient device.

An electronic apparatus and a processing system are disclosed. In one embodiment, an electronic apparatus is an electronic apparatus to be operated by a first user. The electronic apparatus comprises a communication unit and at least one processor. The communication unit is configured to acquire first information related to an other-party apparatus. The at least one processor is configured to determine a movement state of a second user of the other-party apparatus, based on the first information. The at least one processor performs processing based on the determined movement state, in response to a place call command from the first user regarding first phone communication with the other-party apparatus.

A system for data recording across a network includes a session border controller connecting incoming data from the network to an endpoint recorder. A load balancer is connected to the network between the session border controller and the endpoint and receives the incoming data from the session border controller, wherein the load balancer comprises computer memory and a processor configured to parse the incoming data into video data and audio data according to identification protocols accessible by the processor from the computer memory. A recording apparatus includes recording memory that receives the incoming data from the load balancer, stores a duplicate version of the incoming data in the recording memory, and connects the incoming data to the endpoint.

An example method of operation may include one or more of identifying an outbound call placed by a mobile device subscribed to a protected carrier network, determining the outbound call is destined for a destination telephone number that was stored in a call history of the mobile device, determining the destination telephone number is a scam call suspect telephone number based on one or more identified call filter parameters associated with the destination telephone number, and forwarding a scam call notification to the mobile device while the outbound call is dialing the destination telephone number.

The present invention provides a system, method and apparatus for initiating and handling an emergency IP request using an IP enabled device having GPS capability. The IP enabled device is monitored for one or more emergency criteria. If the emergency criteria are satisfied, global positioning data is obtained using the GPS capability and the emergency IP request is sent to an address server. The address server receives the emergency IP request, obtains local emergency services data based on the global positioning data, dials a call center station based on the local emergency services data and passes an emergency call from the IP enabled device to the call center station. This invention can be implemented as a computer program embedded in a computer readable medium wherein the steps are performed by one or more code segments.

Initiating a conference call includes receiving a conference call request message from an initiating user specifying a plurality of other users and determining an availability of the other users to receive conference call invitations. A conference call is initiated between the initiating user and one or more of the other users that are determined to be available. The availability of one or more of the other users determined to be unavailable is monitored and interaction with a conference call invitation by one or more of the other users determined to be unavailable is enabled upon their monitored availability changing from unavailable to available. The interaction with the conference call invitation by the other users is conditioned on whether the conference call is still in progress.

Apparatus and methods are disclosed for client-based control of revising caller identifications (IDs) for communications between a private network and a public network. An apparatus including a telecommunications-providing server and processing circuit that communicates client-specific sets of data over an interface protocol. The telecommunications-providing server revises a caller ID for a VoIP call based on the client-specific sets of data, an identifier that corresponds to a requesting endpoint, and a geographic region determined from the call request. Further, the telecommunications-providing server causes control data to be sent to activate an analog-telephone bridging circuit and redirect the VoIP call by obtaining a dial tone and passes at least a subset of the data packet through the analog-telephone bridging circuit for connecting over the local line. The subset of the data packet includes the revised caller ID which is a local number identified by the determined geographic region.

A method of operating a network server, such as a mobile application gateway, connect devices on a cellular or carrier network with individual networks, such as enterprise voice and data networks or residential networks. The effects of the present invention are far reaching in terms of transferring effective call control from the cellular network into the control of the individual network, such as the enterprise, and enabling new business models for the purchase of cellular service from a public cellular carrier by an enterprise.

The subject disclosure describes monitoring when a headset is in communication with a mobile communication device, detecting the headset, comparing a name of a caller and a telephone number of the caller against a list of names and telephone numbers previously stored in a memory, determining that the name of the caller or the telephone number of the caller matches one of the names and telephone numbers in the list, determining that the one of the names and telephone numbers is associated with a pre-recorded message that the user previously recorded and stored in the memory, retrieving the pre-recorded message, and performing a text-to-speech conversion on the name and telephone number of the caller to generate a synthesized speech signal spoken text message and sending the synthesized speech signal and the pre-recorded message to the headset. A system and method for notifying a called party of a call attempt is provided. The method comprises initiating a communication request by a calling party; routing the communication request to an intelligent network via an mobile service center; validating the communication request by the intelligent network; and handing over the communication request to an intelligent platform by the intelligent network in the event of a nonstandard trigger event such as calling party insufficient balance. The processing of communication request by the intelligent platform includes monitoring number of call attempts, introducing a delay in sending notification, monitoring availability of called party and performing one or more actions based on the delay and the availability of the called party.
