The present invention disclosed a unified communication system based on micro base station. The system includes: a micro base station subsystem, a landline telephone network subsystem, an office network subsystem and a communication switching subsystem. The communication switching subsystem receives a voice service request from the micro base station subsystem and the landline telephone network subsystem, sends the voice service request to the micro base station subsystem when a called user in the voice service request is a mobile communication intranet user, sends the voice service request to the landline telephone network subsystem when the called user in the voice service request is a landline telephone network user, receives a service request from the micro base station subsystem, and sends the service request to the office network subsystem.

Voice conference call using PSTN and internet networks

A system and method for supporting a multi-participant voice conference call using PSTN and Internet networks is described. The method for supporting a multi-participant voice conference call includes receiving voice from a PSTN client. The method also includes receiving voice data from a moderator and from at least one remote client connected to the Internet. The method then proceeds to mix the voice data from the PSTN client with the voice data from the moderator into a first mixed voice data that is transmitted to the remote client that is connected to the Internet. The method also mixes the voice data from the moderator with the voice data from the remote client connected to the Internet into a second mixed voice data that is transmitted to the PSTN client.

CALL FLOW SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR USE IN A LEGACY TELECOMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A method of operating a network server, such as a mobile application gateway, connect devices on a cellular or carrier network with individual networks, such as enterprise voice and data networks or residential networks. The effects of the present invention are far reaching in terms of transferring effective call control from the cellular network into the control of the individual network, such as the enterprise, and enabling new business models for the purchase of cellular service from a public cellular carrier by an enterprise.

Apparatus and methods are disclosed for display-related analysis of call data in an IPBX. In an example embodiment, an apparatus is configured to route data/VoIP calls via a data-communications server. An interface circuit is configured to selected parameters of interest based on capabilities of a set of devices and generate subscription requests to subscribe the devices to the parameters of interest. A processing circuit is configured to generate call summary metrics from call event messages for calls routed by the server and with subscription requests being associated with the parameters of interest. The call summary metrics are evaluated in connection with the parameters of interest as subscribed to by the devices and results of the evaluation are provided to the communication devices.

In a method of configuring a private branch exchange remotely, a user transmits configuration data to a local private branch exchange via a callable device. The local private branch exchange transmits the configuration data to a remote private branch exchange. Thereby, the user can conveniently configure the private branch exchange configuration or the private branch exchange service of the remote private branch exchange. Besides, the method of configuring a private branch exchange remotely can be applied to private branch exchanges manufactured by different manufacturers as well as private branch exchanges managed by different enterprises or organizations.

SYSTEM FOR CLOUD-ENABLING A PREMISE PDX

In an example embodiment, a solution that allows a PBX to utilize bridged mobile or desktop applications for collaboration and softphone use is provided. The solution works in conjunction with existing hardwired PBX devices without requiring additional hardware such as an edge router to be integrated with the PBX hardware. Incoming calls are able to ring a user's hardwired device, such as a desk phone at an office, while simultaneously ring mobile device or desktop applications (apps). App users can place outbound PSTN calls and dial PBX extensions just as if they were using their hardwired device. Additionally, PSTN services are utilized from the existing PBX rather than bypassing the existing PBX, which makes tracking and billing more straightforward. A Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) tie trunk is used between the existing PBX and a software bridge controller.

Apparatus and methods concerning routing of calls in an IPBX are disclosed. As an example, one apparatus includes an IPBX server configured to route VoIP calls for a plurality of end-users having respective VoIP-enabled devices communicatively coupled to the IPBX via a network. A user-activity detection circuit is communicatively coupled to the IPBX server. The user-activity detection circuit is configured to receive activity data indicating activity of end-users in a virtual office environment and receive event messages indicating statuses of pending calls in the IPBX server. The user-activity detection circuit determines user-activity statuses of the end-users based on received activity data and event messages. A computing server is communicatively coupled to the user-activity detection circuit and is configured to provide a set of services for one or more of the plurality of users as a function of the determined user-activity statuses of the end-user.
