Using Voice Commands From A Mobile Device To Remotely Access And Control A Computer
A method of using voice commands from a mobile device to remotely access and control a computer. The method includes receiving audio data from the mobile device at the computer. The audio data is decoded into a command. A software program that the command was provided for is determined. At least one process is executed at the computer in response to the command. Output data is generated at the computer in response to executing at least one process at the computer. The output data is transmitted to the mobile device.
Method and system for enabling a communication device to remotely execute an application
A communication system capable of enabling one or more communication devices to remotely execute one or more applications includes one or more communication devices that are coupled to a data connection. At least one of the one or more communication devices is operable to communicate a request to establish a communication session over the data connection. The system also includes one or more application servers that are coupled to the data connection. At least one of the one or more application servers is adapted to execute an application to establish the requested communication session with the at least one communication device. The at least one application server resides at a location remote from the at least one communication device. The at least one application server communicates a request for processing service to the at least one communication device. The request for processing service is communicated to the at least one communication device over the data connection.
Method and apparatus for call handling control
A method and apparatus for call handling control comprises receiving, from a first device, call handling information directed towards a second device, wherein a call is currently established between the first device and the second device and transmitting the call handling information to the second device, wherein the call handling information comprises feature activation instructions for the second device.
Wearable terminal and method for controlling the same
A wearable terminal includes voice data generation unit a voice data generation unit configured to generate audio data, a sensing unit configured to sense a motion of a user's upper limb in a first axis direction perpendicular to a plane defined by a vertically downward oriented direction of the upper limb and a direction of movement of the user, and to generate motion data concerning the motion, a determination unit configured to determine, based on the motion data, whether or not the user is going to perform remote control of a home electric appliance, and a data processing unit configured to process the audio data. The data processing unit includes a transmission data generation unit configured to generate transmission data corresponding to the audio data if the determination unit determines that the user is going to perform the remote control, and a transmission unit configured to transmit the transmission data to a network.
MOBILE TERMINAL AND INFORMATION PROVIDING SYSTEM
A mobile terminal capable of obtaining information provided from a server includes: a communication unit capable of communicating with, via a first communication path, an associated terminal in one of a plurality of areas, the associated terminal being placed in the one of the plurality of areas, being a terminal associated with the mobile terminal, and being one of a plurality of area terminals placed in corresponding ones of the plurality of areas; and a display unit capable of displaying service information provided from the server, the service information including first information and second information different from the first information. The display unit displays the first information when the communication unit is able to communicate with the associated terminal, or displays the second information when the communication unit is unable to communicate with the associated terminal.
Customized notifications based on device characteristics
The application describes customized notifications based at least in part on device characteristics. For example, a client device may identify information for populating an audio tone list associated with an electronic device, wherein the information includes a type of electronic device, a name of the electronic device; and/or a setting of the electronic device. The client device may then display audio tones that are based at least in part on the information. While displaying the audio tones, the client device may receive input selecting at least one of the audio tones to be associated with the electronic device. The client device may then receive a message indicating that the electronic device detected an object. Based at least in part on the message, the client device may output sound represented by an audio tone of the at least one audio tone.
Environmental control systems utilizing user monitoring
Methods and apparatuses for environmental control systems are described. In one example, a method includes monitoring a voice communications call between a local call participant located in a building space and a remote call participant. The method includes detecting a change in a user state of the local call participant from the voice communications call. The method further includes adjusting an environmental parameter in the building space responsive to detecting the change in the user state of the local call participant.
Data gate apparatus for integrating functionalities of an interface format into a plurality of services and method thereof
A data gate apparatus for integrating functionalities of an interface format into a plurality of services. The data gate comprises a storage device, a communication interface and a processor coupled to the storage device and the communication interface. The processor detects a device supporting a first interface format that is different than the interface formats stored in the storage device. The processor learns the first interface format by receiving data function in the first interface format and associating a field in the data function with a variable representing information of a particular type. The processor verifies that the first interface format has been successfully learnt by generating a message in the first interface format and sending the message to the device. The processor receives a response to the message and parses the response to thereby confirm that the first interface format is functional and integrable into the plurality of services.
Parallel signal processing system and method
A system and method for processing a plurality of channels, for example audio channels, in parallel is provided. For example, a plurality of telephony channels are processed in order to detect and respond to call progress tones. The channels may be processed according to a common transform algorithm. Advantageously, a massively parallel architecture is employed, in which operations on many channels are synchronized, to achieve a high efficiency parallel processing environment. The parallel processor may be situated on a data bus, separate from a main general-purpose processor, or integrated with the processor in a common board or integrated device. All, or a portion of a speech processing algorithm may also be performed in a massively parallel manner.
