Emergency services routing proxy cluster management
Systems and methods for clustering emergency services routing proxies are provided. The described features allow a group of ESRPs running as individual servers or a group of virtual servers, to be referenced using a single URI. In one implementation, an emergency services routing proxy device includes an emergency services routing proxy node configured to route a call to a downstream entity, the call received from an upstream entity. The device further includes a cluster manager configured to receive registration information from the emergency services routing proxy node, the registration information including a routing service identifier. The cluster manager may be further configured to identify the emergency services routing proxy node for call routing based on a comparison of an identifier included in the call with the routing service identifier.

Emergency call handling within IP multimedia system (IMS) networks
Systems and methods are described herein for handling E911 communications within IMS networks, such as Voice over LTE (VoLTE) networks. In some embodiments, the systems and methods, via various communication nodes, handle or otherwise govern emergency calls within the VoLTE network, by sending an INVITE message from a sender node of the VoLTE network to a recipient node of the VoLTE network, and starting a retry timer at the sender node that is specific to handling E911 calls by the VoLTE network.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS
Described herein are methods, devices, media, and systems for managing emergency communications and providing seamless data extraction from a communication device by an emergency service.

Remote user status indicators
A user interface on a device allows a user to set their remote user status for viewing by other individuals on their devices. The user or an application can select from a number of predefined remote user status indicators representing remote user status, and the user can optionally include a text message to be displayed with the remote user status indicator. The selected remote user status indicator and optional text message can be stored on a network and made available to other devices that have a contact database that includes the user as a contact. In some implementations, the remote user status indicator can be displayed proximate the user's name in a user interface, such as a favorites list, e-mail interface, text messaging interface, chat room, or any other user interface associated with an application.

Mobile portable device and positioning
The relation between realization effort for a positioning system on the one hand and positioning accuracy on the other hand is improved by using, for determining the position of a mobile portable device, two sensors within the device, namely one sensor for detecting the movement of the mobile portable device as well as one sensor for detecting the approximation of the mobile portable device to one or several reference beacons, wherein, from a knowledge of a position of the one or several reference beacons by means of data provided by the sensor detecting the movement, the position of the mobile portable device relative to the one or several reference beacons is calculated.
