System and method for three-way call detection
A system for detecting three-way calls in a monitored telephone conversation includes a speech recognition processor that transcribes the monitored telephone conversation and associates characteristics of the monitored telephone conversation with a transcript thereof, a database to store the transcript and the characteristics associated therewith, and a three-way Call detection processor to analyze the characteristics of the conversation and to detect therefrom the addition of one or more parties to the conversation. The system preferably includes at least one domain-specific language model that the speech recognition processor utilizes to transcribe the conversation. The system may operate in real-time or on previously recorded conversations. A query and retrieval system may be used to retrieve and review call records from the database.

Communication device and related methods for automatically connecting to a captioning communication service to receive text captions following an interruption during a call
Apparatuses and methods are disclosed for automatically connecting to a relay service and establish a captioning communication session during a call between a hearing-impaired user and a far-end user. The apparatus includes communication elements configured to receive captions from a relay service, and a processor configured to automatically connect to the relay service and establish a captioning communication session during a call responsive to a determination that a connection to the relay service failed during a time in which the hearing-impaired user desired captions to be enabled. A method includes determining captions are desired by the hearing-impaired user at a first time to be enabled for display to the communication device during a call, detecting a failed connection to the relay service at a second time, and automatically connecting with the relay service and establishing a new captioning communication session at a third time during the call.

Aspects of the present application provide a communication system that includes a communication unit and a control unit. The communication unit is configured to receive, from a communication source, a scheduling request for scheduling transmission of a message to a specific communication destination. The control unit is configured to perform control such that the communication destination is notified of existence of the message at a predetermined timing in accordance with content of the message and a current or past psychological situation of a user corresponding to the specific communication destination received by the communication unit.

A method including receiving an interrupt originating associated with an interrupting entity during an ongoing communication between a user and a current entity, determining if the interrupting entity has a higher priority than the current entity, interrupting the user if the interrupting entity has a higher priority than the current entity, and not interrupting the user if the interrupting entity has a lower priority than the current entity.
Transcription system
A transcription system automates the control of the playback of the audio to accommodate the user's ability to transcribe the words spoken. In some examples, a delay between playback and typed input is estimated by processing the typed words using a wordspotting approach. The estimated delay is used as in input to an automated speed control, for example, to maintain a target or maximum delay between playback and typed input.

The messaging ARS server includes: a receiver configured to receive an ARS request text message sent by the mobile device from a message service center server; an ARS text message generator configured to analyze the received ARS request text message and generate an ARS response text message including at least one automatic response menu text; a transmitter configured to transmit the generated ARS response text message to the message service center server; a state information generator configured to generate state information corresponding to one or more of the received ARS request text message and the generated ARS response text message; and a state information transmitter configured to transmit the generated state information to a first apparatus of a voice ARS system.

In one embodiment, a doorbell notification device for audio/video (A/V) recording and communication devices, comprises a speaker configured to play audio data; a communication module; and a processing module in network communication with a backend server comprising: a processor; and a doorbell notification device application, wherein the doorbell notification device application configures the processor to: receive notification device data from the backend server that includes audio data providing information regarding a share signal using the communication module, wherein the share signal includes image data captured by a camera of a first A/V recording and communication device and a command to share the image data with a network of users; and play the audio data providing information regarding the share signal using the speaker.
