METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR IMPLEMENTING TELEPHONE PAYMENTS
There is provided a method of implementing a payment in relation to a telephone call between a customer and a merchant or service provider, the telephone call consisting of a signalling component and a media component. The method comprises, when establishing the telephone call, routing the signalling component to the merchant/service provider via a payment service system and routing the media component directly to the merchant/service provider. The method further comprises, at a communication management system of the merchant or service provider, sending an indication that the customer is required to make a payment to the payment service system and, at the payment service system, upon receipt of the indication that the customer is required to make a payment, using the signalling component of the telephone call to implement a redirection of the media component of the telephone call via the payment service system, extracting payment details of the customer from the redirected media component, and providing the payment details to a payment processing system to action the payment.
COMMUNICATION EXCHANGE FOR LOCAL DATA SERVICES
The present invention is directed towards a communication exchange system where an ecosystem of one or more HPMN and VPMN operators that are connected to a gateway/exchange that facilitates local data services for users. These users are roaming in the VPMN over existing roaming relationship between VPMN and their HPMN. The local data services are facilitated by adding an identifier to APN. The communication exchange systems also includes an interface that maintains a bi-directional connection with the gateway to exchange information related to the roaming services, and a bi-directional connection with users via their mobile devices' user interface.
Protocols for facilitating broader access in wireless communications responsive to charge authorization statuses
Structures and protocols are presented for signaling a status or decision concerning a wireless service or device within a region to a communication device (smartphone or wearable device, e.g.) or other wireless communication participant (motor vehicle having a wireless communication capability, e.g.).
Method and system for family plan sharing of wireless services
A system and process of sharing a wireless surface allotment in a third party wireless network includes implementing a metering system to meter wireless service usage by users of the third party wireless network and tracking wireless usage by a plurality of wireless devices associated with the metering system. The system and process further includes receiving a share request to reallocate the respective wireless service allotment for at least two of the plurality of wireless devices, forwarding modification instructions to the metering system, requesting confirmation from the metering system that the modification instructions have been received, and modifying the respective wireless service allotments for the at least two wireless devices in response to receiving confirmation from the metering system.
Method for providing internet access to a customer of a service provider and computer program
A method for providing Internet access to a customer of a service provider wherein the service provider takes over the costs for the customer's Internet use. The method includes the customer's user equipment generating a service start notification message to a server of the service provider in response to the customer agreeing to the service and commencement of use of the service. The service start notification message triggers sending a query to a database of the service provider containing customer data, and confirming the customer has access rights for getting Internet access at the service provider's expenses. The service provider generates and sends out a request message to the mobile communication provider of the customer and requests an intermediate change of the customer's mobile communication contract so the costs for loading Internet data on the customer's user equipment will be temporarily charged to the service provider rather than the customer.
Telecommunications data management interface
A system for visualizing call routing data associated with a telecommunications identifier is provided. The system includes a client interface and a parsing tool. The client interface is structured to communicate with a telecommunications management platform having a database that stores call routing data. The parsing tool is associated with the client interface. The parsing tool receives call routing data associated with the telecommunications identifier in response to a query of the database, and the parsing tool generates parsed data by parsing the call routing data. The parsed data is structured to display the call routing data in a tree format on the client interface.
Capillary device charging
The present application describes a user equipment including a processor and a memory, where the memory stores computer-executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the user equipment to perform a set of instructions. The instructions include transmitting, to a network, a message requesting to modify or establish flow that is not to be charged to the user equipment. The instructions also include receiving, from the network, an indication based on the message request. The instructions further include determining, based on the indication, whether to make the flow being associated with the message.
MULTIFUNCTION WIRELESS DEVICE
A communication device and system are disclosed for providing communication and data services to residents of a controlled facility. The device can be restricted to communicating only using an internet protocol so as to restrict the device communication to an internal intranet. Wireless access points may be disposed throughout the environment to route calls and data between the device and a central processing center. By converting a protocol of the communications received from the device to a protocol used by the central processing center, minimal modifications to the central processing center are needed to support a wireless communication infrastructure. Many restrictions and safeguards may be implemented within the phone and system in order to prevent improper use.
INMATE DEVICE AND USER INTERFACE FOR INMATE INITIATED VIDEO VISITATION SYSTEM
A secured party audio and audio/video communication system and method providing administration, management and control that includes a portable secured communication device in possession solely of a secured party positioned in a secured environment, the portable secured communication device being exclusive to the secured party and communicatively connectable only to a secured connection management system, in a secured connection management system hosting a secured communication device interface, hosting a remote communication device interface, storing in the database information related to the secured party, the portable secured communication system, and the external party, at least one of which includes a predetermined connection parameter, creating the selective communication between the portable secured communication device and only the remote communication device response to the stored database information and controlling a duration of the communication as a function of the predetermined connection parameter as stored in the database.
Method and system for carrier-initiated traffic tuning and communication of subscriber parameters
A network device for a mobile carrier network sends, to a third-party platform, a first client message including a first parameter extension. The first parameter extension indicates subscription parameters for a data flow between a user equipment (UE) device that originated the first client message and the third-party platform. The network device receives, from the third-party platform, a server message. The server message does not include a confirmation that the third-party platform accepts subscription parameters. The network device forwards, to the UE device, the server message with the first parameter extension. The network device receives, from the UE device, a second client message including a second parameter extension. The second parameter extension confirms that the third-party platform accepts the one or more subscription parameters. The network device then generates a policy enforcement rule for the data flow that relies on the confirmation from the third-party platform.
