DISTRIBUTED BACKUP OF UNSHIPPED CHARGING DATA RECORDS
A first charging data record (CDR) generating node can receive charging server information and available CDR storage information from a second CDR generating node. The first CDR generating node can detect that the charging server is unavailable to receive CDRs from the first CDR generating node. The first CDR generating node can also determine that a CDR storage area corresponding to the first CDR generating node should not be used to store additional CDRs. The first CDR generating node can also select the second CDR generating node for storing the additional CDRs that are generated by the first CDR generating node. The second CDR generating node can be selected based at least in part on the charging server information and the available CDR storage information. The first CDR generating node can cause at least one CDR to be sent to the second CDR generating node.
METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND DEVICES FOR MASKING CONTENT TO OBFUSCATE AN IDENTITY OF A USER OF A MOBILE DEVICE
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, identifying a first user associated with a first mobile device, and determining a first user type associated with the first user. Further embodiments can include identifying a first identity associated with the first user based on the first user type and identifying a second identity associated with the first user based on the first user type. Additional embodiments can include providing first alternate content to the first mobile device to mask the first identity and providing second alternate content to the first mobile device associated with the second identity. Other embodiments are disclosed.
SEAMLESS CUSTOMER DATA MOVE BETWEEN SOURCE AND TARGET CHARGING FUNCTION ELEMENTS OF A COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM
A charging system includes a source charging function element of a communications system. The source charging function element includes at least one processing circuit that is operative to process charge events for network charging related to a customer identifier to write customer data indicating the network charging into a source data partition of a global storage system. Based on receiving an event message, the source charging function element determines the customer identifier based on content of the event message and performs a look up in a translation function to obtain a mapping between the customer identifier and at least data partition that includes the source data partition. When the customer identifier is determined to be mapped by the translation function to the source data partition and to a target data partition, the source charging function element communicates with a target charging function element.
MULTI-SERVICES APPLICATION GATEWAY AND SYSTEM EMPLOYING THE SAME
An intelligent gateway device provided at a premise (home or business) for providing and managing application services associated with use and support of a plurality of digital endpoint devices associated with the premises. The device includes a communications and processing infrastructure integrated with a peer and presence messaging based communications protocol for enabling communications between the device and an external support network and between the device and connected digital endpoint devices. A services framework at the gateway device implements the communications and processing infrastructure for enabling service management, service configuration, and authentication of user of services at the intelligent gateway. The framework provides a storage and execution environment for supporting and executing received service logic modules relating to use, management, and support of the digital endpoint devices. Thus, the gateway device provides a network-based services point of presence for a plurality of digital endpoint devices at the premises.
DATA RESILIENCY OF BILLING INFORMATION
Managing transaction data during times of low network connectivity by organizing billing information for prioritized processing during periods of higher network connectivity. During low connectivity events, billing information is organized based, at least in part, on a combination of age and revenue to communicate important billing information upon reconnection.
System and method for a customized fifth generation (5G) network
An embodiment logical function architecture for next-generation 5G wireless networks may include a control plane comprising a software defined topology (SDT) logical entity configured to establish a virtual data-plane logical topology for a service, a software defined resource allocation (SDRA) logical entity configured to map the virtual data-plane topology to a physical data-plane for transporting service-related traffic over the wireless network, and a software defined per-service customized data plane process (SDP) logical entity configured to select transport protocol(s) for transporting the service-related traffic over a physical data-plane of the wireless network. An embodiment virtual service specific serving gateway (v-s-SGW) for next-generation 5G networks may be assigned specifically to a service being provided by a group of wirelessly enabled devices, and may be responsible for aggregating service-related traffic communicated by the group of wirelessly enabled devices.
Method and apparatus for dynamic charging over multiple network nodes
A method, a corresponding apparatus, and a computer program product for dynamic charging over multiple network nodes. The method comprises collecting, at a first network node which has a first connection with a user equipment, charging information with respect to a second connection established between the user equipment and a second network node, wherein the second network node is connected with the first network node. The method also comprises combining charging information with respect to the first connection and the charging information with respect to the second connection. The method additionally comprises sending the combined charging information from the first network node to a core network entity for charging the user equipment. With the claimed inventions, the core network and wireless operators could be able to bill the services based on specific offloaded bearers considering associated QoS information, regarding to the case of multi-PLMN scenarios under network sharing.
HUMAN MOBILITY MEASURING METHOD
The invention relates to a human mobility measuring method comprising a structuring step where CDR raw metadata is filtered so as to identify a device identification, a cell site identification, a date, and a time; a data frame generating and sorting step where the filtered CDR metadata is sorted and the filtered sorted CDR metadata are projected into an occupancy grid comprising a location vs. time-bin matrix, a probabilistic map generating step of a device's location in space and time, and a filtering step to accurately represent human mobility from patterns that reflect errors, uncertainties, or patterns not related with real human mobility. The method further comprises a gap filling process allowing for a continuous localization of the device by extrapolating any trajectory in space and time of any device and a projecting step comprising projecting the trajectories defined at a Voronoi grid defined by the sites and towers to the road and street grid
APPARATUS, METHODS, AND ARTICLES OF MANUFACTURE FOR FILTERING CALLS AND REDUCING SPOOFING AND SPAMMING
Unsolicited electronic communications such as robocalls and person-initiated solicitation calls are reduced by imposing tolls for completion of the connections to the called parties, and refunding the tolls to the entities indicated by the electronic communications as the calling parties. In this way, a dishonest originator of a spoofed call bears the cost of the toll, and the toll is not refunded to the dishonest originator. On the other hand, the toll collected from an honest originator of a non-spoofed call is refunded to the honest originator, making the toll transparent to the honest originator and avoiding annoyance of the honest caller caused by the toll. Unsolicited calls may be subjected to filtering, particularly filtering based on the indications of the origins of the calls.
Distributed architecture for determining performance parameters
System performance of a first information handling system may be adjusted based on system usage. Performance parameters may be determined by a second information handling system based on the system usage and may be used, by the first information handling system, to adjust system performance. Configuration of the first information handling system may thus be distributed to two or more tiers. The second information handling system can be more efficient with determining operating parameters for the first information handling system when the second system is not power limited, as when the first information handling system is a mobile device.
