Restoring functionality of a mobile device
A method and system of restoring a functionality of a mobile user device. A lock screen is displayed on the display of the user device. An international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) of a subscriber identity module (SIM) card presently installed in the user device is determined. The IMSI is sent to a Remote Recovery Server (RRS). A message is received from the RRS indicating whether the IMSI is authorized for the user device and whether an account of the user device is replenished at least in part. Upon determining that the IMSI is authorized for the user device and the account of the user device is replenished at least in part, at least one function that was previously restricted is restored.
Pre-paid voice calling using sponsored data roaming
A method or corresponding apparatus for placing outgoing voice calls using data while roaming. At least one example embodiment may include a mobile device communicating with a calling service through a first data connection path. According to an aspect of the example embodiment, the first data connection path may include a first visited mobile network communicatively coupled to a home mobile network communicatively coupled to the calling service. According to another aspect of the example embodiment, the mobile device may be configured to connect to the first data connection path through the visited mobile network; send connection information (e.g., destination number, the home mobile network, the first visited network, and a first access type, etc.) to the calling service; and place a call with a first calling rate through the first data connection path using the calling service, wherein the first calling rate is based on the connection information.
DETECTION AND BLOCKING OF CLONED MOBILE DEVICES
A method is disclosed for blocking a cloned mobile device by a processor of a network. The processor receives a first registration from a first mobile device at a first location. The first registration includes a device identifier and a phone number. The processor then confirms that a second registration from a second mobile device at a second location includes the device identifier and the phone number and calculates a first fraud score for the first mobile device and a second fraud score for the second mobile device. The processor then determines that the second mobile device is the cloned mobile device, when the second fraud score exceeds the first score, and blocks the cloned mobile device from registering on the network.
METHODS, DEVICES, AND SYSTEMS FOR LIVE VIDEO STREAMING FROM A REMOTE LOCATION BASED ON A SET OF LOCAL CRITERIA
Systems, devices, and methods for streaming video data being recorded once an operator user equipment has an inventory as specified by a requester user equipment based on selecting the operator user equipment from a determined set of one or more user equipment that may be based on a received acknowledgement message from the operator user equipment that the request was accepted and a set of local criteria.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MODIFYING CHARGING MODE, MOBILE TERMINAL, AND NETWORK SIDE DEVICE
A method and an apparatus for modifying a charging mode, a mobile terminal and a network side device are provided in the present disclosure. The method includes: transmitting a signaling message containing information of modifying roles of current calling and called parties or modifying a charging mode to a network side, after receiving a signaling message containing calling information; and receiving a signaling message transmitted by the network side that contains information that the roles of the current calling and called parties are modified, or the charging mode is modified. In the present disclosure, calling and called parties can be modified in real time through network, which is convenient to operate, and can save network signaling overhead and can avoid a current call being interrupted by the network side due to insufficient tariffs of a current calling party.
Customization of traffic control services
A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium to provide a user interface that allows a user to configure a traffic control service, the traffic control service including at least one of a content-based service, an application-based service, a time-based service, a location-based service, or a quality-of-service-based service; receive, via the user interface, selections of parameters that govern the traffic control service, and a unique identifier of an end user to which the traffic control service pertains; configure the traffic control service in a line card of a network device included in the data path, wherein the configuration includes the rules data and the unique identifier in the line card, and the traffic control service that includes an in-line quota enforcement service and a charging record service.
System and method for tracking call billing
Tracking a status of an ongoing call includes monitoring, by a computer of a contact center, the ongoing call that is connected with a human agent and that originated from a provider network and determining when an automated agent instead of the human agent is connected with the ongoing call. The computer of the contact center can then send a first message to the provider network, wherein the first message comprises first data indicative that the automated agent instead of the human agent is connected with the ongoing call.
