Wireless communications system, base station, mobile station, and processing method
A wireless communications system includes a first wireless-communications-apparatus that controls a second wireless-communication by a controller for a first wireless-communication; a second wireless-communications-apparatus capable of the second wireless-communication; and a third wireless-communications-apparatus capable of data transmission with the first wireless-communications-apparatus via the first or second wireless-communication, and that transmits to the first wireless-communications-apparatus, a control message including an address thereof for the second wireless-communication. When data is transmitted from the first wireless-communications-apparatus to the third wireless-communications-apparatus through the second wireless-communications-apparatus via the second wireless-communication, a processor in the first wireless-communications-apparatus for the first wireless-communication transfers the data to the second wireless-communications-apparatus through an adaptation sublayer and notifies the second wireless-communications-apparatus of the address acquired from the control message. The data is already processed in a convergence layer for performing the first wireless-communication. The second wireless-communications-apparatus transmits the data to the third wireless-communications-apparatus via the second wireless-communication, using the notified address.
Contraband wireless communications device identification in controlled-environment facilities
Systems and methods for identification of a controlled-environment facility resident in possession of a contraband communications device capture or otherwise accept managed access data and/or contraband communications device assessment data for contraband communications devices operating in the controlled-environment facility. Controlled-environment facility resident call data for each resident of the controlled-environment facility is gathered from the controlled-environment facility resident communications system. Correlations in the managed access data and/or assessment data with the controlled-environment facility resident communications system call data are analyzed to identify each resident of the controlled-environment facility in possession of a contraband communications device.
METHOD OF REDIRECTING DATA STREAMS FROM A MOBILE ACCOUNT TO ANOTHER MOBILE ACCOUNT
A method of redirecting data streams exchanged by a mobile terminal associated with a “third-party” account, with a first telecommunications network. The method includes a prior stage including: the first network receiving from the mobile terminal a registration request, and recovering the profile of the third-party account; the first network sending a DNS request including a “redirection” access point name; the DNS system responding by supplying the IP address of a “stream redirection” server; the first network setting up a tunnel between the server and the mobile terminal, by providing the server with at least one identifier of the third-party account; the server supplying a second telecommunications network with which the user of the mobile terminal holds a personal account that is distinct from the third-party account, with at least one identifier of the personal account; and the stream redirection server setting up a tunnel with the second network.
IDENTIFYING THE SOURCE AND DESTINATION SITES FOR A VOIP CALL WITH DYNAMIC-IP ADDRESS END POINTS
In a voice-over-IP communications network, call data records include dynamically assigned IP signaling addresses such as IPv6 signaling addresses used in provisioning communications sessions. Those dynamically assigned IP signaling addresses are computed from customer site identification codes using a reversible algorithm. The algorithm can then be reversed to compute a customer site identification code from an IP signaling address contained in a call data record, allowing the communications network provider to perform quality monitoring and diagnostics based on call data records.
Interim billing for sessions in IMS networks
Charging systems and associated methods are disclosed that provide interim billing for a session in an IMS network. The charging system includes a charging data system that receives accounting messages from network elements serving the session in the IMS network, and generates partial CDRs for each network element based on the accounting messages. The charging data system also sets an aggregation/correlation timer. Responsive to an expiration of the aggregation/correlation timer, the charging data system aggregates the partial CDRs for each network element to generate an aggregated CDR for each network element. The charging system further includes a charging gateway system that, in further response to the expiration of the aggregation/correlation timer, correlates the aggregated CDRs to generate an interim consolidated CDR for the session, and transmits the interim consolidated CDR to a billing system. The billing system may then provide interim billing for the session based on the interim consolidated CDR.
System and method for managing access point functionality and configuration
A system for managing access point functionally and configuration includes a server that is coupled to a computer network and configured to communicate with an access point via the computer network. The access point is configured to couple a mobile device to the computer network by providing a wireless link between the mobile device and the access point. The access point is further configured to produce a status point regarding the access point and the server is configured to receive the status report from the access point following a trigger event at the access point. In other examples, the server is further configured to transmit a response message and/or a configuration file to the access point in response to the status report that is received at the server. Other features and systems are also disclosed.
NETWORK ACCESS CONTROL
A network access control method includes obtaining network information of an electronic device, determining, using the network information, whether the electronic device needs to use a first access point name (APN) network channel, and generating a network channel switching instruction in response to determining that the electronic device needs to use the first APN network channel. The network channel switching instruction instructs to switch the electronic device from a second APN network channel to the first APN network channel. The second APN network channel has access to more network resource addresses than the first APN network channel.
Resolving unsatisfactory QoE for an application for 5G networks or hybrid 5G networks
A system and method for resolving an unsatisfactory quality of experience (QoE) for an application executed on a wireless device that accesses a CSP network is described. A QoE network appliance generates an integrated event stream that includes a RAN data set, a CN data set, a NWDAF data set, a QoE latency measurement, a QoE bandwidth measurement, and a QoE packet loss rate measurement. A measured QoE score is generated with the RAN data set, the CN data set, and the NWDAF data set. The measured QoE score is associated with a QoE latency measurement, a QoE bandwidth measurement, and a QoE packet loss rate measurement. A robotics process automation (RPA) module receives the integrated event stream when the measured QoE score fails to satisfy the QoE requirement. The RPA module performs one or more automated actions to improve the measured QoE based on information from the integrated event stream.
PARALLEL AND SEQUENTIAL EXECUTION OF AUTOMATED ONLINE CHARGING TEST PROCEDURES
Systems and methods are described herein for performing automated testing of online charging systems associated with telecommunications networks. In some embodiments, the systems and methods utilize various components associated with an online charging system, such as an event mediator, to convert data associated with test cases to be simulated by the online charging system (e.g., data from spreadsheets) into various test requests actionable during the online charging system under when simulating the test cases.
CHARGING PROCESSING METHOD AND SYSTEM AND RELATED DEVICE
A charging processing method includes: A charging trigger device sends a charging request message to a charging processing device, where the charging request message includes redundant transmission information, that is, related information of redundant transmission used for a data connection service in a data connection session; and the charging processing device performs charging processing based on the redundant transmission information, including determining a redundant service charging processing mode, performing charging processing on a usage amount reported by the charging trigger device, sending usage amount processing indication information to the charging trigger device, or the like.
