Technologies for converting mobile communications network billing records
09762743 · 2017-09-12 ·

Technologies for converting mobile communications network billing records include a billing record converter system. The billing record converter system receives a data usage billing record associated with a mobile computing device communicatively coupled to a long term evolution wireless communications network. The received data usage billing record is formatted according to a real-time data usage billing record format. The received data usage billing record is converted into a new data usage billing record formatted according to a roaming data usage billing record format that corresponds to a legacy wireless communications network. The new data usage billing record is transmitted to a billing system of the legacy wireless communications network for processing. In some embodiments, the billing record converter system cumulates and converts multiple data usage billing records associated with the mobile computing device into the new data usage billing record. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Device identification data, network connection data, and other related data may be analyzed to determine an account classification, particularly before the account has even been used (or before extensive use has occurred). Computer system security may be improved via an intelligent engine that detects certain device and network connection factors in association with particular user actions, such as account creation. Monitoring be performed over a period of time for subsequent analysis.

Flow Tagging for Service Policy Implementation

A flow tagging technique includes tagging a data flow at a plurality of points in the data flow. For example, the data flow can be tagged at a socket and at a proxy manager API. By tagging the data flow at multiple points, it becomes possible to map network service usage activities to the appropriate initiating applications.

Data capacity sharing server, method and system for sharing data capacity donated by terminal

The present invention relates to a server, a method and a system for allowing a user terminal to receive and use a data capacity shared by a donor terminal, and provide a reward that is as much as the data capacity shared by the donor terminal and provide, to the user terminal, charging information corresponding to the use of data, thereby enabling a fair and meaningful compensation system.

DEVICE ASSISTED CDR CREATION, AGGREGATION, MEDIATION AND BILLING

Device assisted CDR creation, aggregation, mediation and billing is provided. In some embodiments, device assisted CDR creation, aggregation, mediation and billing for a wireless network includes collecting device generated service usage information for one or more devices in wireless communication on the wireless network; and providing the device generated service usage information in a syntax (e.g., a device assisted charging data record (CDR)) and a communication protocol (e.g., 3GPP, 3GPP2, or other communication protocols) that can be used by other network devices to augment or replace network generated service usage information for the one or more devices in wireless communication on the wireless network.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PERFORMING CHARGING PROCESSING ON NETWORK SLICE CUSTOMER, AND RELATED DEVICE
20210400445 · 2021-12-23 · ·

A method for performing charging processing on a network slice customer includes: receiving a first charging request message including session information from a session management device, where the session information includes an attribute of a PDU session of a user equipment on a network slice instance; determining that charging processing is to be performed on a target network slice customer for the PDU session; and sending a second charging request message including an identifier of the target network slice customer and the session information to a network slice customer charging device, so that the network slice customer charging device performs charging processing on the target network slice customer for the PDU session. When the second charging request message further includes service unit information, the charging processing includes storing service unit usage information or granting a service unit quota.

COMPUTER-BASED SYSTEMS CONFIGURED FOR AUTOMATED SUBSCRIPTION MANAGEMENT AND METHODS THEREOF

Systems and methods of the present disclosure include at least one processor that receives electronic messages, each associated with a respective originating entity. Message metadata of each electronic message is extracted and list subscriptions are determined based on the message metadata. User interaction commands relative to each electronic message are tracked. Record similarity values for user activity records are determined based on a measure of similarity between the originating entity and each activity record. An engagement model is utilized to determine an engagement score indicative of a degree of user engagement with each originating entity based on the user activities and the user interaction metrics to generate a prediction indicative of the degree of user engagement. An unsubscribe condition is determined based on the engagement score being below a threshold score, and an unsubscribe command is automatically issued.

SIMULATING CONTINUOUS MILLIMETER WAVE BAND ACCESS TO A TELECOMMUNICATIONS NETWORK
20210400571 · 2021-12-23 ·

The disclosed technology includes at least one method performed by a system of a telecommunications network. The system can establish a communications link between the wireless device and a network access node (NAN) of the 5G network. While connected over a non-mmW band, the wireless device autonomously schedules data downloads to occur when the wireless device is on an mmW band. The system then receives a request from the wireless device to perform the data downloads, which can be enabled by a packet gateway (PGW) upon receiving a confirmation by the NAN that the wireless device can connect over the mmW band. Otherwise, the PGW denies the wireless device's request to perform the data downloads, which can be enforced by the NAN.

Interactive voice response using intent prediction and a 5G capable device
11206330 · 2021-12-21 · ·

Disclosed here is a method to determine a user intent when a user device initiates an interactive voice response (IVR) call with a wireless telecommunication network. A processor can detect the IVR call initiated with the network and determine whether the user device is a member of the network. Upon determining that the user device is a member of the network, the processor can obtain user history including interaction history between the user and the network. Based on the user history, the processor can predict the user intent when the user initiates the IVR call. The processor can detect whether user device is a 5G capable device. Upon the determining that the device is 5G capable and based on the predicted user intent, the processor can suggest to the user an application configured to execute on the user device and configured to address the predicted user intent.

HUMAN MOBILITY MEASURING METHOD

The invention relates to a human mobility measuring method comprising a structuring step where CDR raw metadata is filtered so as to identify a device identification, a cell site identification, a date, and a time; a data frame generating and sorting step where the filtered CDR metadata is sorted and the filtered sorted CDR metadata are projected into an occupancy grid comprising a location vs. time-bin matrix, a probabilistic map generating step of a device's location in space and time, and a filtering step to accurately represent human mobility from patterns that reflect errors, uncertainties, or patterns not related with real human mobility. The method further comprises a gap filling process allowing for a continuous localization of the device by extrapolating any trajectory in space and time of any device and a projecting step comprising projecting the trajectories defined at a Voronoi grid defined by the sites and towers to the road and street grid
