Determining mobile operators for mobile devices
Determining a mobile operator for a mobile device. The mobile operator is determined using one or more of an international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) and a current operator name (CON) and service provider name (SPN) pair. Correlations between the IMSI and mobile operators, and between the CON/SPN pairs and mobile operators, are maintained. Correlations between unrecognized CON/SPN pairs and mobile operators are created based on a quantity of requests received from the mobile devices. In some embodiments, identifying the mobile operator enables financial transactions by the mobile device when visiting, for example, a mobile applications store.
Hierarchical service policies for creating service usage data records for a wireless end-user device
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing one or more machine-executable instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to: determine whether a traffic flow of a wireless end-user device is associated with a first service activity, the traffic flow comprising one or more attempted or successful communications over a wireless access network; if it is determined that the traffic flow is associated with the first service activity, create a first data record, the first data record identifying the first service activity; if it is determined that the traffic flow is not associated with the first service activity, determine whether the traffic flow is associated with a second service activity; and if it is determined that the traffic flow is associated with the second service activity, create a second data record, the second data record identifying the second service activity.
Wireless network service interfaces
A uniform wireless network service selection information exchange interface system is provided to facilitate a consistent user experience across multiple wireless networks that may have different service plan activation or service plan purchase processes. Network detection of service usage anomalies based on device-based data usage reports is provided to enable the network to determine whether an end-user device is likely operating in accordance with the established policy, or whether the end-user device may be operating fraudulently.
Budgeting and quota management system for data consumption
Systems and methods may provide for establishing a data usage budget based on one or more of user input and historical usage data, wherein the data usage budget distinguishes between usage types and distinguishes between connection types. Additionally, a data usage of one or more client devices may be monitored in accordance with the data usage budget. In one example, the usage types are designated as one or more of a high bandwidth usage and a low bandwidth usage, and the connection types are designated as one or more of a capped connection and a non-capped connection.
Charge management system, charge management method, program, program providing system, and maintenance system
A charge management system includes a user managing unit configured to manage pieces of user identification information for identifying users and pieces of terminal identification information for identifying transmission terminals, each piece of user identification information being associated with pieces of terminal identification information for identifying transmission terminals used by a user identified by the each piece of identification information; and a calculating unit configured to calculate a participation charge to each of the transmission terminals, bases on a total participation duration in which the each of the transmission terminals has participated in a conversation during a predetermined period, and calculate a total participation charge to each of the users by summing up the participation charges to transmission terminals specified by the pieces of terminal identification information associated with the each piece of the user identification information.
Flow Tagging for Service Policy Implementation
A flow tagging technique includes tagging a data flow at a plurality of points in the data flow. For example, the data flow can be tagged at a socket and at a proxy manager API. By tagging the data flow at multiple points, it becomes possible to map network service usage activities to the appropriate initiating applications.
DEVICE ASSISTED CDR CREATION, AGGREGATION, MEDIATION AND BILLING
Device assisted CDR creation, aggregation, mediation and billing is provided. In some embodiments, device assisted CDR creation, aggregation, mediation and billing for a wireless network includes collecting device generated service usage information for one or more devices in wireless communication on the wireless network; and providing the device generated service usage information in a syntax (e.g., a device assisted charging data record (CDR)) and a communication protocol (e.g., 3GPP, 3GPP2, or other communication protocols) that can be used by other network devices to augment or replace network generated service usage information for the one or more devices in wireless communication on the wireless network.
Asset management with respect to a shared pool of configurable computing resources
Disclosed aspects relate to asset management with respect to a shared pool of configurable computing resources. With respect to a set of assets which share a resource on a first compute node, a set of asset weight values is identified. The set of asset weight values indicates a set of utilization shares of the resource by the set of assets. A set of asset priority values is identified with respect to the set of assets on the first compute node. The set of asset priority values indicates a relative status arrangement for the set of assets. Using the set of asset weight values and the set of asset priority values, a determination is made to migrate a first asset of the set of assets from the first compute node to a second compute node. Accordingly, the first asset of the set of assets is migrated from the first compute node to the second compute node.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PERFORMING CHARGING PROCESSING ON NETWORK SLICE CUSTOMER, AND RELATED DEVICE
A method for performing charging processing on a network slice customer includes: receiving a first charging request message including session information from a session management device, where the session information includes an attribute of a PDU session of a user equipment on a network slice instance; determining that charging processing is to be performed on a target network slice customer for the PDU session; and sending a second charging request message including an identifier of the target network slice customer and the session information to a network slice customer charging device, so that the network slice customer charging device performs charging processing on the target network slice customer for the PDU session. When the second charging request message further includes service unit information, the charging processing includes storing service unit usage information or granting a service unit quota.
HUMAN MOBILITY MEASURING METHOD
The invention relates to a human mobility measuring method comprising a structuring step where CDR raw metadata is filtered so as to identify a device identification, a cell site identification, a date, and a time; a data frame generating and sorting step where the filtered CDR metadata is sorted and the filtered sorted CDR metadata are projected into an occupancy grid comprising a location vs. time-bin matrix, a probabilistic map generating step of a device's location in space and time, and a filtering step to accurately represent human mobility from patterns that reflect errors, uncertainties, or patterns not related with real human mobility. The method further comprises a gap filling process allowing for a continuous localization of the device by extrapolating any trajectory in space and time of any device and a projecting step comprising projecting the trajectories defined at a Voronoi grid defined by the sites and towers to the road and street grid
