The display device is configured to present the advertisement information output from the information processing device such that the advertisement information is directed outward from the vehicle. The information processing device is configured to transmit task report information representing a presentation task report for the advertisement information by the display device to the management server. The management server is configured to determine remuneration to cover both incurred data communication costs and advertising costs associated with presentation of the advertisement information, in accordance with the task report information transmitted from the information processing device.

Coordinating cellular and cable/fiber broadband networks

Detect, at a cable/fiber broadband network termination unit of a cable/fiber broadband multi-service operator, an interruption in service to a cable/fiber broadband network customer unit—small cell pair. Responsive to detecting the interruption, the termination unit advises a charging server of the operator of the interruption in service, a corresponding identifier of the customer unit—small cell pair, and a corresponding account identifier. Responsive to termination unit advising the charging server, the charging server advises a backend server of an associated cellular network of a customer identifier corresponding to the account identifier. Responsive to the charging server advising the backend server, the backend server advises a policy control function of the associated cellular network to modify network parameters of the associated cellular network to compensate for the interruption in service.

System and method for collecting consumption

Various embodiments disclosed herein are related to a non-transitory computer readable storage medium. In some embodiments, the medium includes instructions stored thereon that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to identify, at an edge network, resource consumption data including a status that indicates whether a service hosted on a cluster of nodes on the edge network is powered on, a type of a resource being consumed by the service, a quantity of the resource being consumed by the service, and a time stamp associated with the resource being consumed by the service and provide, to a remote server in communication with the edge network, the resource consumption data. In some embodiments, the remote server meters resource consumption based on the resource consumption data.

Data management apparatus, data management method, and data communication system

A data management apparatus manages a plurality of data items output by a plurality of communication devices that output data. The data management apparatus includes at least one memory configured to store instructions, and at least one processor configured to execute the instructions. The instructions, when executed by the at least one processor, include receiving a data acquisition request, including an application identification of an application from the data acquisition apparatus, extracting data output by the application on a communication device corresponding to the application identification included in the data acquisition request, among the plurality of data items received from the plurality of communication devices via a relay apparatus, and transmitting the extracted data to the data acquisition apparatus.

FUNCTION AS A SERVICE CONSOLE FOR AN ONLINE APPLICATION EXCHANGE PLATFORM

A method for managing an application exchange platform includes receiving, from a developer, a service function, wherein the service function includes configuration details for an application available through an online application exchange. The method includes deploying the service function in the application exchange, identifying a first domain event requesting access to the service function from a user, and calling the service function in the online application exchange, in response to the first domain event. The method also includes recording a metric associate with the service function and a return parameter, emitting a second domain event indicative of a completion of the service function, and charging, with a billing tool, an appropriate party based on a usage metadata for the service function. A system and a non-transitory, computer-readable memory storing instructions to cause the system to perform the above method are also provided.

System and method for usage billing of hosted applications

A system, method, and computer readable medium for usage billing of one or more hosted applications serving one or more clients. The hosted applications are contained within one or more isolated environments or run without isolated environments. The system may include usage billing based on one or more of resources open, amount of data flowing through resources, number of open files, number of transactions, number of concurrent users, number of processes, CPU utilization and memory usage, The system may further include a management interface where administrators may add, remove and configure isolated environments, configure client policies and credentials, and force upgrades. If using isolated environments, the isolated environments may be isolated from other applications and the host operating system on the clients and applications within the isolated environments may run without performing an application-installation on the client.

RADIO ACCESS TECHNOLOGY (RAT) TYPE USAGE DIFFERENTIATION FOR DIFFERENTIAL CHARGING IN 5G NON-STANDALONE (5G NSA) ARCHITECTURE DEPLOYMENTS

A control plane function node may be used in a Fifth Generation (5G) Non-Standalone (NSA) architecture having Radio Access Network (RAN) level interworking between a Long-Term Evolution (LTE) RAN and a 5G New Radio (NR). The node obtains usage report data which are based on traffic of a user equipment (UE) via primary and secondary Radio Access Technologies (RATs). The node also obtains secondary RAT usage report data which are based on traffic of the UE via the secondary RAT. The node constructs a message which indicates a request for charging based on the usage report data and the secondary RAT usage report data. In constructing the message, the node populates, in association with a corresponding rating group and usage data of the UE, an identifier of a flow or bearer associated with secondary RAT usage, together with the secondary RAT usage report data.

A method and system for the purchase and activation of services on a wireless device are provided. The method and system include the use of an airtime card with a near field communication tag with a unique identifier code used to improve a user's experience and ease of activation/provisioning of services for the wireless device. In some aspects, the unique identifier may be generated during the activation and purchase of the wireless service and it is not required that the unique identifier code be recorded in a backend system of the wireless provider prior to activation. The services to be purchased and activated may include at least one of the following: out of the box activation, device upgrades, device reactivations, wireless number changes, wireless number porting, and the addition or purchasing of services including airtime, data, and/or SMS enrollments or data content.

MOBILE DEVICE ROAMING OPTIMIZATION AND OPERATION

A method, system, and computer program product for implementing mobile device roaming optimization is provided. The method includes receiving a selection for services associated with a first mobile device provider for activation during travel to a location associated with mobile device roaming attributes with respect to a mobile device of a user. A blockchain structure and a hash masking sensitive data of the user are generated. It is detected that the user and mobile device have traveled to the location and access to the blockchain structure is enabled. Roaming usage attributes of the mobile device are determined. Subsequently, operational functionality of the mobile device at the geographical location is enabled via roaming usage of a network of the second mobile device provider and second hash of consumption related information compliant with data residency is transmitted to the first mobile device provider to facilitate resolution of disputes across entities.
