System for managing mobile station international subscriber directory number storage
Systems, methods, and apparatuses may include a Billing System (BS) node, Charging System (CS) node, and a mediation node for managing Mobile Station International Subscriber Directory Numbers (MSISDN)s for a telecommunication network. The system may make an MSISDN available for reassignment immediately or shortly after (e.g., seconds, minutes, days, or weeks after) receiving a cancellation request associated with the MSISDN. For instance, upon receiving the cancellation request, the system may store a line identifier with an association to the MSISDN and/or an International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) in a line identifier database, and the system may delete the MSISDN/IMSI from a user account database. The system may receive a Telephone Account Procedure (TAP) Call Detail Record (CDR) associated with the MSISDN/IMSI after receiving the cancellation request. Accordingly, the system may use the line identifier stored in the line identifier database to generate a billing report corresponding to the TAP CDR.
CHARGING SYSTEM AND METHOD, AND NETWORK DEVICE
A communications system, a core network device and a non-transitory machine-readable medium are provided. In the communications system, a master base station gather traffic statistics information on a service of a user terminal which is transmitted between the user terminal and the master base station through a secondary base station, and sends a message to a core network device. The message includes the traffic statistic information for calculating a charge on the service by the core network device.
Systems and methods of split billing
A method includes receiving input during execution of a first application at an electronic device. The input indicates that data usage of the electronic device is to be billed to a first data usage account of a plurality of data usage accounts associated with the electronic device. The method further includes generating a request during execution of a second application at the electronic device. The method also includes, based on the input, encapsulating, by the electronic device, the request to generate an encapsulated request that identifies a destination endpoint provisioned for the first data usage account. The method further includes transmitting the encapsulated request from the electronic device to a network element.
Charging system and method, and network device
A charging system, method and network device are provided. A first access device performs traffic statistics collection on a service of a user terminal transferred by a second access device, and sends a traffic indication message to a core network entity. The traffic indication message includes traffic information of the service that can be used by the core network entity to perform charging on the service.
DATA PROCESSING
Data is processed in a telecommunications network. First and second notifications are received, via an input interface, from first and second Charging Trigger Functions, CTFs, in the telecommunications network. The first and second notifications relate to network resource usage in the telecommunications network. A scalable transformation function is used to transform data derived from the first and second notifications into a first usage detail report in a first detail report format and a second usage detail report in a second, different detail report format. The first and second usage detail reports are output, via an output interface, to at least one recipient system.
Coordinated session charging in roaming scenarios
There are provided measures for coordinated session charging in roaming scenarios. Such measures (of a first session management entity of a first mobile network in a roaming charging related scenario between said first mobile network and a second mobile network) exemplarily comprise transmitting a session creation request message to a second session management entity of said second mobile network, said session creation request message including information indicative of a first configuration utilized for mobile network related charging, and receiving a session creation response message from said second session management entity of said second mobile network, said session creation response message including information indicative of a second configuration utilized for mobile network related charging.
Efficient use of a communications network
A duration of time a communications device is connected to a first network is monitored. A signal of a second network is detected. Next, it is determined whether a predetermined amount of time has elapsed such that the communications device makes efficient use of the first network, and in response to a determination that the predetermined amount of time has elapsed, a connection of the communications device to the second network is initiated.
Message transmission method and core network interface device
A message transmission method and a core network interface device are provided, so as to reduce complexity of a communication interaction between a core network and each external entity. After receiving a request message from a service instance, obtains device indication information of a target device, an identifier of the service instance, and a type of a response message corresponding to the request message; after sending the request message and receiving a to-be-forwarded response message, obtains a type of the to-be-forwarded response message and device indication information of a device that sends the to-be-forwarded response message; sends the to-be-forwarded response message to the service instance when the type of the to-be-forwarded response message and the device indication information of the device that sends the to-be-forwarded response message respectively match the type of the response message and the device indication information of the target device that correspond to the request message.
CHARGING SYSTEM AND METHOD, AND NETWORK DEVICE
A charging system, method and network device are provided. A first access device performs traffic statistics collection on a service of a user terminal communicated by a second access device, and sends a traffic indication message to a core network entity. The traffic indication message includes traffic information of the service that can be used by the core network entity to perform charging on the service.
User Notifications Handling in a Communications Network
A method for handling user notifications in a communications network. The method comprises receiving an indication that a second entity supports a user notification type; determining that a user notification of the user notification type shall be transmitted to the second entity, the user notification comprising a user identity and a notification content; selecting the second entity for delivering the user notification of the user notification type to the user; and transmitting to the second entity the user notification including the user identity and the notification content. The method may be performed by a Network Exposure Function (NEF), a Service Capability Exposure Function (SCEF), a Policy Control Function (PCF), a Policy and Charging Rules Function (PCRF), a Charging Function (CHF), or an Online Charging System (OCS). The second entity may be an application server, particularly a push notification server or a Service Capability Server (SCS), or a or a Mobile Network Operator Application Function, MNO AF.
