Method and system for providing low bandwidth and high bandwidth communications services using different user equipment profiles
A network platform manages the provisioning of a UE with a dominant identity profile and a recessive identity profile. The dominant profile is associated with a user's existing wireless data plan and the recessive profile corresponds to a data plan of a provider of device, or machine-to-machine, services to the UE. The UE uses the two profiles to transmit separate data contexts on separate respective bearers. When managing two separate bearers, the UE always uses the dominant profile first for managing a handoff to a stronger cell. The UE reports that the new cell that now serves the dominant context is the only cell that has enough strength to support the recessive context, even if other cells near the UE have signals strong enough. This necessarily causes the recessive context to always be handed off to the same cell to which the dominant context has already been handed off.
User interface controls for capturing communication data
Disclosed are various embodiments related to user interface controls for capturing communications data with a remote device. In one embodiment, a system includes a transceiver, a computing device, and an application executable in the computing device. The application can detect an incoming call signal of a phone call and render an incoming call user interface on a display. The incoming call user interface includes a call tracking component that is configured to initiate a call tracking action. The application also can initiate the phone call in response to receiving a user manipulation of the call tracking user interface component. Then, the application can execute the call tracking action, which can involve generating call data associated with the phone call. The application also cause the computing device to render a call tracking user interface that displays the call data.
Methods and systems for providing subsidized access to network content by way of a secure connection
An exemplary method includes a subsidized access management system detecting a request provided by an access device associated with a user to access network content by way of a secure connection within a network provided by a network service provider, the network content associated with a content provider and maintained by a content provider system, determining that a data usage charge for access by the user to the network content by way of the secure connection within the network is subsidized by the content provider in accordance with a subsidized access arrangement between the content provider and the network service provider, and providing the user with subsidized access to the network content by way of the secure connection within the network in accordance with a rule set associated with the subsidized access arrangement. Corresponding methods and systems are also disclosed.
Transaction processing platform for facilitating electronic distribution of plural prepaid services
A transaction processing platform capable of facilitating the distribution to consumers of various types of prepaid products is disclosed. The transaction processing platform is configured to interface with one or more providers of such prepaid products in order to facilitate the procurement or activation of the products. The platform includes a conduit interface through which service request messages are received and respectively utilized to generate transaction requests for corresponding types of prepaid services. A supply interface arrangement, operatively coupled to the conduit interface, is configured to route a first of the transaction requests through a first supply interface associated with a first type of prepaid service. The supply interface arrangement also routes a second transaction request through a second supply interface associated with a second type of prepaid service. The platform is also configured to provide supplier response information received through the supply interfaces to the conduit interface.
System and method for running a multi-module telephony application
A system and method of a telephony application platform can include receiving a communication session request specifying a destination endpoint, connecting the communication session through a first application module according to the destination endpoint, receiving an instruction to transition communication control to a second application module, transitioning communication control of the communication session to the second application module, independently metering resource usage of the communication session of each application module, and accounting the metered usage of the communication session.
Promotion evaluation based on mobile device identifiers
Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are described for generating customized service plans for a wireless telecommunications network. An operator of a wireless telecommunications network may allow users to access the network in accordance with a service plan, which may specify terms and conditions associated with usage of the network (e.g., types of usage, amounts of usage, geographic areas, associated mobile devices and users, subscription fees, etc.). Customized, user-specific service plans for the wireless network may be generated and implemented by determining that a user satisfies one or more criteria for applying service plan modifications. A user may be required to agree to specified conditions, such as upgrading a mobile device or subscribing for a specified time period, in order to accept a customized service plan. Multiple modifications may be applied to a base service plan, and plans and/or modifications for which the user is eligible may be identified.
Artificial intelligence internet protocol private branch exchange (IP-PBX) system with mobile value-added services
An artificial intelligence IP-PBX system with mobile value-added services collaboratively operates a cloud server, an IP-PBX, and a master application (APP). The cloud server is provided with a payment module and a first registration module and provided to a user for uploading APP information edited by an APP developer and storing the APP information in a first database. The cloud server is used as an independent platform like the APP Store. The IP-PBX is provided with an AI mechanism that analyzes instant messages of users and performs a correlative comparison on the first database and a second database to calculate and show the list of optimal requirements. The master APP is installed in a host device and provided to the user for performing an instant messaging operation. The master APP uses a displaying unit to display the list of optimal requirements for utilization by users.
Wireless End-User Device Providing Ambient or Sponsored Services
A wireless mobile end-user device is disclosed to receive from one or more computing devices a purchase confirmation request for an electronic mobile commerce transaction, and in response to receiving the purchase confirmation request, provide information relating to the electronic mobile commerce transaction to a device user, and a request to the device user for a user approval of the electronic mobile commerce transaction, receive the user approval by receiving a biometric response from the device user locally, and send an instruction to cause a secure service downloader to communicate a unique security key from a secure dedicated memory partition, via a secure communication link, in connection with a billing event that relates to the electronic mobile commerce transaction, where the unique security key is not accessible by an application processor.
Wireless End-User Device Providing Ambient or Sponsored Services
One or more servers are disclosed to transmit, via a secure connection a device, a first signed certificate to the device to confirm a compatible and approved server status, receive, via the secure connection, a second signed certificate from the device to confirm a compatible and approved device status, determine whether the device is configured to authorize, mobile commerce transactions billed through a central billing process, transmit, via the secure connection, a purchase confirmation request for a mobile commerce transaction, the purchase confirmation request provides information relating to the transaction including an amount, and the purchase confirmation request triggers a request for the approval by the device user requiring a biometric authentication of the device user locally, and receive a purchase confirmation for the mobile commerce transaction.
