Apparatuses, methods, and systems are provided for configuring a SIM-less System-on-Chip (S2oC) with integrated reprogrammable cellular network connectivity. Digitally issued Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) cards may be digitally issued by a remote server and downloaded and managed by the S2oC. A virtual SIM card container may be packaged in the S2oC and hosts an identity manager used by a plurality of applications residing in the multi-core processor of the S2oC. A virtual modem with a custom communication protocol allows the multi-core processor applications to exchange data with the virtual SIM card container.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR WIRELESS NETWORK SERVICE PROVIDER SELECTION
Systems and methods for wireless network service provider selection are provided. In one embodiment, a method comprises: determining when there is there a positive balance of an unutilized allowance for at least one of a plurality of available wireless network service providers; when there is a positive balance of an unutilized allowance, designating one service provider from the plurality of available wireless network service providers as a selected wireless network service provider based at least in part on the unutilized allowance; and adjusting operation of one or more radio communication transceivers to establish a communication link via the selected wireless network service provider.
Method for delivering dynamic policy rules to an end user, according on his/her account balance and service subscription level, in a telecommunication network
The method comprises the steps of: the Policy and Charging Rules Function (PCRF) receiving (Step 1) user's subscription information, in order to determine an initial policy; the Policy and Charging Enforcement Function (PCEF) applying (Step 2) the initial rules; the Policy and Charging Enforcement Function (PCEF) triggering (Step 3) the Extended Online Charging System (EOCS) for the user's service/network resource usage; the Extended Online Charging System (EOCS) rating and charging (step 4) the user, in real time; the Extended Online Charging System (EOCS) triggering (Step 5) a change of policy in the Policy and Charging Rules Function (PCRF); the Policy and Charging Rules Function (PCRF) determining (Step 6) new rules for the new policy; the Policy and Charging Enforcement Function (PCEF) receiving (Step 7) the new rules and applying them.

CONNECTED VEHICLE BANDWIDTH-BASED NETWORK SELECTION
Generally described, one or more aspects of the present application correspond to techniques for dynamic management of the network used for data transfer between a connected vehicle and a remote computing system. For example, during navigation a connected vehicle may switch between connections to a number of different networks, and the pricing of these networks may be periodically recalculated based on current network load. The disclosed techniques can select from among available networks to dynamically optimize the cost of data transfer, even as a vehicle navigates through different networks and as network pricing is changed.
BITRATE UTILIZATION FEEDBACK AND CONTROL IN 5G-NSA NETWORKS
Disclosed are technologies for optimally utilizing 5G-NSA network resources via an Aggregate Maximum Bitrate (AMBR) feedback mechanism. A User Equipment (UE) is registered with a 5G-NSA network environment and a 5G AMBR is negotiated. A bearer-specific timer is triggered in response to detecting one or more data flows to the UE. Next, a Secondary Radio Access Technology (RAT) Data Usage Report is monitored for. In response to the bearer-specific timer expiring without a Secondary RAT Data Usage Report being received, it is determined that the UE is not currently being served by a 5G RAT. Subsequently, local rate limiting is performed to reduce the negotiated 5G AMBR to a limited AMBR having a lower bitrate than the negotiated 5G AMBR. The UE connection to the 5G-NSA network environment is then configured with the limited AMBR.
Device-Assisted Services for Protecting Network Capacity
Device Assisted Services (DAS) for protecting network capacity is provided. In some embodiments, DAS for protecting network capacity includes monitoring a network service usage activity of the communications device in network communication; classifying the network service usage activity for differential network access control for protecting network capacity; and associating the network service usage activity with a network service usage control policy based on a classification of the network service usage activity to facilitate differential network access control for protecting network capacity.
METHOD FOR PROCESSING RATE GROUP, METHOD FOR CHARGING FOR DATA SERVICE, AND RELATED DEVICE AND SYSTEM
Embodiments of the present invention provide a method for processing a rate group, a method for charging for a data service, and a related device and system, so as to enable a charging system to accurately charge for the data service when the rate group changes. The method includes: determining, by a gateway device, whether a rate group of a service data stream changes; and if the rate group of the service data stream changes, reporting, by the gateway device, charging data to the charging system, so that the charging system performs charging according to the charging data, where the charging data includes service usage information and a reporting reason for reporting the charging data, and the reporting reason indicates a change of the rate group.

Methods and systems for provisioning rate plan features in a wireless communication network
A computer-implemented method for provisioning a feature associated with a brand of a wireless communication network may include loading a trigger condition in a catalog for triggering the feature, wherein an in-memory cache of the catalog is accessible by a network provisioning engine of the wireless communication network. At the network provisioning engine, the method may further include receiving, from a billing system computer, a transaction request for a subscriber having a rate plan associated with the brand, using a brand indication in the transaction request to locate the in-memory cache of the catalog, and determining whether the transaction request meets the trigger condition. If the transaction request meets the trigger condition, the method may further include determining a network node for provisioning the feature, and sending instructions to the network node to provision the feature in the subscriber's rate plan.
