Systems and methods are provided for generating announcement information at a communication node. The method includes: generating a first announcement information associated with a first user; generating a second announcement information associated with a second user; and transmitting the first and second announcement information to a telephony application server, wherein the first announcement information and the second announcement information include at least one different element of data, further wherein both the first and second announcement information are used to generate or select announcements which are transmitted to the first and second users during a call between the first and second users.

An AMF of a communications system responds to receipt of a network attach request message of a UE requesting attachment to a network of the communication system, by sending a charging data request message toward a CHF containing a notification for the CHF to keep a charging data resource to track charging for network resources used for communications associated with UE while attached to the network. The AMF receives a response message of the CHF containing a reference for the charging data resource associated with the UE while attached to the network. The AMF responds to receiving a PDU session establishment request message of the UE, by sending a PDU session establishment request message containing the reference for the charging data resource toward a SMF. A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which a mapping table is transmitted to a user device. The mapping table includes, for each entry, an index, a frequency band, and wireless services available on the frequency band. Index information corresponding to a frequency band and wireless service available in a location associated with the user device is communicated to the user device. An icon associated with the wireless service is displayed on a display of the user device. A network device determines that the user device is using the wireless service to communicate via a wireless network and transmits, to a core network, an indication that the user device is using the wireless service on the frequency band.

A method, apparatus, and computer program product relating to notification requests and callback requests in indirect communications are provided. In the context of a method, the method includes sending a service request for selection of a service consumer. The service request is one of a notification request or a callback request. The method further includes indicating a version of a programming interface configured to support the service request.

A phone appliance and method of use are provided where the phone appliance can be used to make VoIP communications calls. In a preferred embodiment, the phone appliance includes an RF connection for connecting to a computer or other computing device for facilitating the placement of the VoIP communications calls. The phone appliance further includes a display or portal for depicting advertisements provided by various advertisers. The advertisements provided can be used to defray all or part of the cost associated with making VoIP communications calls. The portal can also be used to communicate with businesses for ordering products, such as ordering a pizza, and to perform various services, such as purchasing stocks. In an exemplary system, the phone appliance is used to transmit to a control center information related to the user of the phone appliance, such as interests and buying habits, and queries for receiving additional information for various advertised products and services. The control center transmits the queries to the appropriate vendors for providing the user with additional information. Other functions and features are provided to the phone appliance, such as being able to download e-mail messages stored within or received by the computer.

Systems and methods described herein include receiving, at a network device, a message including an identifier associated with a subscriber and an identifier associated with a rating group associated with one or more data flows and determining a data quota and one or more usage monitoring thresholds associated with the subscriber. The data quota indicates a first amount of data associated with the rating group that the subscriber is authorized to use during a time period and the one or more usage monitoring thresholds indicate one or more second amounts of data associated with the rating group and one or more service flows that the subscriber is authorized to use during the time period. The network device transmits the data quota and the one or more usage monitoring thresholds, receives data usage information, and processes the data usage information.

A method including: receiving one or more datasets indicating call activity corresponding to a phone number; analyzing the one or more datasets to identify unusual call activity; and generating a fraud prediction, based at least in part on the identified unusual call activity, that the phone number will be used for fraud.

Systems and methods may provide for establishing a data usage budget based on one or more of user input and historical usage data, wherein the data usage budget distinguishes between usage types and distinguishes between connection types. Additionally, a data usage of one or more client devices may be monitored in accordance with the data usage budget. In one example, the usage types are designated as one or more of a high bandwidth usage and a low bandwidth usage and the connection types are designated as one or more of a capped connection and a non-capped connection.

A first network device may receive, from a second network device, a first policy control create request and may provide, to the second network device, a common policy control request trigger. The first network device may receive a second policy control create request associated with a user equipment (UE) and may cause a UE policy to be provided to the UE. The first network device may receive, from a third network device, a third policy control create request and may provide a network device policy to the third network device. The first network device may receive, from the second network device, a policy control update request based on the common policy control request trigger and may generate an updated UE policy or an updated network device policy based on the policy control update request.

A method includes establishing a cost for consumption of a given resource by a given resource consumer for a designated period of time, the cost comprising a fixed cost for consumption of the given resource up to a threshold consumption level for the designated time period and an additional cost associated with consumption of the given resource exceeding the threshold consumption level for the designated period of time, monitoring consumption of the given resource by the given resource consumer, determining whether resource consumption by the given resource consumer is projected to exceed the threshold consumption level over the designated time period, generating an alert responsive to determining that resource consumption by the given resource consumer is projected to exceed the threshold consumption level over the designated time period, and providing the alert for presentation via a user interface of a user device associated with the given resource consumer.
