Cassette system for secure resource distribution
Embodiments of the present invention are directed to systems, methods, and computer program products for a cassette system and device network for secure resource replenishment and distribution among a plurality of computer terminals. A resource replenishment device comprising a tamper-proof, sealable container may securely store and transport one or more resources within the interior of the device. The resource replenishment device may be used for efficiently fulfilling calculated resource deficiency requests at one or more computer terminals, wherein resources may be transferred to the resource replenishment device from a resource reserves station for transport and transfer to a resource-deficient, requesting computer terminal.
APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD OF INTERNET CONNECTIVITY VIA A RELAY STATION
Some demonstrative embodiments include apparatuses, systems and/or methods of establishing an Internet connection. For example, a server me perform operations including storing relay account information corresponding to least one relay station to provide Internet access, and client account information of at least one client, the client account information comprising credit information indicating a credit balance of the client; processing a connection request received from a wireless station via the relay station, the connection request to request an Internet connection via the relay station, the connection request comprising a client identifier of the client; sending to the wireless station via the relay station connection establishment information to establish the Internet connection via the relay station; and updating the credit balance based on usage information from the relay station, the usage information indicating a usage of the Internet connection by the wireless station.
WIRELESS COMMUNICATION DEVICE, WIRELESS COMMUNICATION METHOD, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM
[Overview] [Problem to be Solved] To provide a wireless communication device that is able to easily switch to an existing system when a new system is constructed by employing a communication scheme using a millimeter wave. [Solution] There is provided a wireless communication device including a first communication controller that executes communication control through a first line using a radio wave of a millimeter waveband, a second communication controller that executes communication control through a second line using a radio wave of a band other than the millimeter waveband, and a connection controller that provides, via the first line, information regarding charging by using a command of a physical layer.
Methods, devices, and computer programs for enabling the sponsoring of data connectivity
In a telecommunication network, a method is carried out for assisting a first user terminal (100.sub.1) in benefiting from a data connectivity. A second user terminal (100.sub.2) indicates (s10), to a connectivity donation server (200), that it is willing to sponsor data connectivity of the first terminal (100.sub.1) and that, restriction(s) are imposed on how the sponsored connectivity can be used. The restriction(s) comprise: i) where the first terminal (100.sub.1) is to be located for benefiting from the sponsored connectivity; and ii) which access network(s) the first terminal (100.sub.1) has to connect to for benefiting from the sponsored connectivity. The connectivity donation server (200) then transmits a token to the second terminal (100.sub.2), which in turn transmits (s30) it to the first terminal (100.sub.1) using proximity-based means. Terminals, network nodes, and computer programs for use in the above method are also disclosed.
Terminal type identification in interaction processing
A method is disclosed. The method includes receiving, by a user device from an access device, an available applications request message. The available applications request message includes an access device type identifier. The method also includes determining whether an association exists between the access device type identifier and one or more application identifiers of a plurality of application identifiers stored on the user device. The plurality of application identifiers respectively correspond to different applications on the user device. The method also includes transmitting, by the user device, to the access device, based in part on whether the association exists, an available applications response. The available applications response includes the one or more application identifiers of the plurality of application identifiers associated with the access device type identifier.
TECHNIQUE FOR MANAGING A RIGHT OF ACCESS TO A NETWORK FOR A COMMUNICATING DEVICE
The invention relates to a technique for managing a right of access to a network for a communicating device (20). The communicating device detects a connection to a charging unit (10) and transmits a charging request to a processing device (30). This charging request comprises an estimate of a requested amount of energy and a battery identifier. On receiving charging agreement, the communicating device supplies the battery identified by the charging unit with power according to the agreed amount of energy. The right of access of the communicating device to the network is extended in the network according to the agreed amount of energy.
MULTI-ACCESS EDGE COMPUTING (MEC) SERVICE PROVISION BASED ON LOCAL COST MEASUREMENTS
Embodiments herein may include systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media, for a multi-access edge computing (MEC) system. An apparatus for MEC may include a communication interface, a local cost measurements module, and a service allocation module. The communication interface may receive, from a UE, a request for a service to be provided to the UE. The local cost measurements module may collect a set of local cost measurements for the service. The service allocation module may determine to allocate the service to a MEC host based on an allocation policy related to a cost for the MEC host to provide the service or a cost for a service provider to provide the service in view of the one or more local cost measurements. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
NFC TAG-ENABLED CLOUD-BASED TRANSACTIONS
A user of a mobile device may participate in one or more NFC-enabled cloud-based transactions by tapping the mobile device on a tag, receiving information from the tag over a secure channel, and transmitting the information to a cloud-based server. The cloud based server communicates with a store backend, which in turn communicates with a point-of-sale/service (POS) terminal associated with the tag. Transaction details are sent back to the mobile device via the POS terminal, the store backend, and the cloud payment server, and the user of the mobile device may approve the transaction details to initiate payment by the cloud payment server to the store backend for the transaction.
