Disclosed is a voice message exchange system and method for improving communication between an inmate and a third party by enabling the inmate to leave a message when a call is not answered and further allowing the third party who receives the message to reply with a message to the inmate. Additionally, outside parties that meet the institution's requirements can leave messages for inmates at any time. The present invention can be used as an add-on to legacy inmate call management systems or incorporated internally into an inmate call management system. The system also provides monitoring, controlling, recording, and billing means.

Aspects of the present disclosure relate to systems and methods for a wireless communication tag. The tag is configured to uniquely identify an account associated with the user for granting the user access to a first access-controlled service controlled by a first authority and a second access-controlled service controlled by a second authority. The tag is implemented through an omnidirectional antenna removably coupled to a mobile device associated with the user. An amount of payment owed by the user in accessing the first access-controlled service from a plurality of access-controlled services including the first access-controlled service and the second access-controlled service across a plurality of authorities is determined and transfer of the amount of payment to the first authority selected from the plurality of authorities in response to the user accessing the first access-controlled service is facilitated.

A method performed by a device for determining a subscriber identification module (SIM) card to be used for a call is provided. The method includes determining, for each of plural call types and prior to a new call originating from a user equipment (UE), a SIM card to be used, from among a first SIM card installed in the UE and a second SIM card installed in the UE, identifying a call type of the new call originating from the UE, selecting, based on the identified call type, the SIM card previously determined for the identified call type according to the determining, and updating, based on performance of the new call and prior to a subsequent call, the determined SIM card for at least one of the plural call types.

One method includes transmitting a first input from a user regarding opening an account at an institution, establishing a communication session based on exchanging encryption keys between the user device and the computing system, in response to establishing the communication session, automatically installing a client application, displaying, via the client application, a graphical user interface (GUI) including a request for a user verification, transmitting, via the communication session, a received user verification, receiving a second input to add the account a mobile wallet on the user device, prompting the user for a value regarding the account, and receiving and storing, via the communication session, a payment token for transactions via the mobile wallet before a physical card associated with the account of the computing system is received.

A method and system are described for enhancing the security of calls made by a member of a controlled environment to an outside party, particularly when the outside party communicates via a cellular phone. An application is provided for the cellular device, which must communicate and register with a calling platform of the controlled environment. Certain elements of personal verification data are obtained by the user of the cellular device and stored at the calling platform for later reference. Calls from the inmate to the cellular device cause the calling platform to issue a notification to the user via the application. The user verifies his/her identity using the application, after which the call can be connected. As a further security measure, certain conditions can be required and periodically checked during the call to ensure the user remains verified.

A computing system receives first input from a customer to establish an account at the financial institution having a physical payment card associated therewith, approves the customer for the account based on account registration information received from the customer, and establishes the account for the customer. Establishing the account includes generating a card number for the physical payment card and associating the card number with a first status indicator, the first status indicator being associated with an inactive status of the account. Once the account is established, the computing system transmits a prompt instructing the customer to establish a PIN for the account and receives a customer-input PIN for the account. A method of adding a value to a customer account is provided. A request to add a value to a customer account of a customer is received from a point of sale terminal. The request may comprise value identification data associated with the value and account identification data associated with the customer account. The customer account identification data may be entered at the point of sale. The request may be associated with a purchase of the value. The value may be caused to be added to the customer account. During subsequent value purchase transactions, additional value may be added to the account.

Systems, methods, and computer program products for provisioning a temporary disposable number are described. A user can be provided with a pool of available temporary disposable numbers that have a limited shelf life. The user can select one of the available temporary disposable numbers while submitting a permanent phone number associated with a communications device (e.g., mobile phone, home phone, business phone, etc.). Prior to activating the selected temporary disposable number, the temporary disposable number is linked to the permanent phone number. After activation, when an incoming call to the temporary disposable number is received, the permanent phone number is identified to be associated with the temporary disposable number being called. The incoming call is then forwarded to the communications device on which the permanent phone number is established.
