In one aspect, a system for receiving communications while a user operates a motor vehicle is provided. The system may include (1) a BLUETOOTH interface configured to establish a connection to a BLUETOOTH device associated with the motor vehicle, (2) a wireless communication interface configured to receive a wireless communication from a remote device, and (3) a processor coupled to the wireless communication interface and the BLUETOOTH interface, and configured to: (a) determine the user is operating the motor vehicle based upon the connection to the BLUETOOTH device, and (b) suppress a notification of the user of receipt of the wireless communication while the user is operating the motor vehicle.
Method and system for providing access to a node of a shared resource
A computer server system comprises a communications module; a processor coupled with the communications module; and a memory coupled to the processor and storing processor-executable instructions which, when executed by the processor, configure the processor to receive, via the communications module and from a first device, a signal including a request to schedule access to a shared resource within a time window; identify, based on a load projection for the shared resource, at least one time period within the time window for the access to the shared resource; send, via the communications module and to the first device, a signal including the at least one time period and requesting confirmation that a particular one of the at least one time period is acceptable; receive, via the communications module and from the first device, a signal including confirmation that the particular one of the at least one time period is acceptable; determine that a current time has reached the particular one of the at least one time period; and responsive to determining that the current time has reached the particular one of the at least one time period, provide access to a node of the shared resource, the node having available bandwidth.
Mobile terminal calling request message processing method, device and system

Facilitation of a conference call between static and rotating participants
Embodiments disclosed herein provide systems, methods, and computer readable media for facilitating a conference call with rotating participants. In a particular embodiment, a method provides identifying one or more static participants for the conference call and identifying at least two rotating participants for the conference call. The method further provides determining an order in which the rotating participants will be connected to the conference call. The method then provides connecting the conference call with the one or more static participants and connecting and disconnecting the conference call with each of the rotating participants in accordance with the order.

A communication system and method for displaying text captions corresponding to voice communications between an assisted user's mobile wireless device and a separate hearing user's device includes at least one communication component configured to enable the appliance to communicate with a relay, a display, and a processor operably coupled to the at least one communication component and the display. The processor is configured to enable the assisted user to establish an association between the appliance and the mobile device, receive text originating at the relay, the text corresponding to a transcript of the hearing user's voice signal originating at the hearing user's device, and cause text captions corresponding to the received text to be displayed on the display.

A radio communication system integrating voice radio signals with an audio-video conference session that includes at least one two-way radio configured to wirelessly transmit and receive voice radio signals with a radio control station, a radio communication controller comprising a first audio interface, a second audio interface, and a radio control processor, and configured to transmit and receive audio signals with the radio control station through the first audio interface, and an audio-video conferencing system configured to transmit and receive audio signals with the radio communication controller through the second audio interface. Session oriented enhancements for text-based communications in a contact center
Various processes are defined associated with customer-initiated text messages to a contact center to delineate various sessions between the customer and an agent. The sessions are defined in part using various timers, including a customer response timer that is stopped upon receipt of a customer text and started typically started when the agent response is sent. The session is initiated upon the initial customer text and the expiry of the customer response timer defines the end of a particular session with the customer. Various data structures are created or updated upon the beginning of a session, including tables which may define which sessions a customer previously had and the messages associated with each session. The agent may be able to review prior sessions for a given customer and can review the specific messages of a prior session.

A system, method and non-transitory computer readable medium including computer-executable instructions for handling calls. In an exemplary method of the disclosure, it may be determined whether a call should be transferred from the VSS to an agent based on, for example, agent availability or queue wait times. When it is determined to transfer the call to the agent, it may be determined whether a callback call should be offered to the caller. When it is determined to offer the callback call, one or more time blocks may be provided to which the caller can initiate the callback call to receive higher priority routing. Upon calling back into the system within one of the time blocks, the call may receive preferential routing treatment.
