Communication device and methods for use by hearing impaired
A method for maintaining contact information in a hearing impaired assisted user's communication device includes the steps of (a) providing a web site for altering assisted user contact information, (b) linking a proxy device to the web site, (c) receiving an identifier associated with the assisted user's device via the proxy device, (d) identifying an assisted user's device via the received identifier, (e) enabling the proxy device to be used to modify contact information for the assisted user associated with the received identifier, (f) starting a timer to time out a sync timeout period, (g) during the sync timeout period, receiving an indication via the assisted user's device confirming a desire to update the assisted user's contact information, (h) updating the assisted user's contact information, and (i) at the end of the timeout period, ceasing an indication that updated data is ready to be used from the assisted user's device.

An audio mixer for mixing audio signals from a plurality of participants, including audio signals of different sample rates; the audio mixer comprising: a plurality of mixing arrangements, each mixing arrangement for a given one of said sample rates; each mixing arrangement comprising: a pre-mixer configured to mix audio signals having the given sample rate; one or more resamplers, each resampler configured to convert pre-mixed audio signals from other mixing arrangements into a signal of the given sample rate; and a post-mixer configured to mix the output of the pre-mixer with the output of each resampler to produce an output at the given sample rate; the audio mixer further comprising a subtractor configured to subtract the participant's input audio signal from the post-mixed output.
Method and apparatus of processing user data of a multi-speaker conference call
A method and apparatus of sharing documents during a conference call data is disclosed. One example method may include initiating a document sharing operation during a conference call conducted between at least two participants communicating during the conference call. The method may also include transferring the document from one of the two participants to another of the two participants, and recording at least one action performed to the document by the participants during the conference call.

CALL PROCESSING METHOD AND DEVICE
The embodiments of the present invention disclose a call processing method and device. The call processing method comprises: sending, by a repeater of the first site, a first call establishment request to a repeater of the second site according to a call request initiated by a first terminal, the first call establishment request comprising an identification of the second terminal; determining, by the repeater of the first site, whether a second call establishment request is received before a call establishment response sent by the repeater of the second site is received, the second call establishment request being sent by the repeater of the second site according to a call request initiated by the second terminal; and if yes, sending, by the repeater of the first site, a call collision notification to the first terminal to notify the first terminal to delay the call.
PRESENTATION OF COMMUNICATIONS
A method to present communications is provided. The method may include obtaining, at a device, a request from a user to play back a stored message that includes audio. In response to obtaining the request, the method may include directing the audio of the message to a transcription system from the device. In these and other embodiments, the transcription system may be configured to generate text that is a transcription of the audio in real-time. The method may further include obtaining, at the device, the text from the transcription system and presenting, by the device, the text generated by the transcription system in real-time. In response to obtaining the text from the transcription system, the method may also include presenting, by the device, the audio such that the text as presented is substantially aligned with the audio.
Presentation of communications
A method to present communications is provided. The method may include obtaining, at a device, a request from a user to play back a stored message that includes audio. In response to obtaining the request, the method may include directing the audio of the message to a transcription system from the device. A scalable virtual conferencing system which implements a hub and spoke architecture. For example, one embodiment of a scalable virtual conferencing system comprises: a participant management module to logically group each participant in the virtual conferencing system into a hub or one of a plurality of spokes; and a data flow management module to control communication of information between participants in the spokes and participants in the hub, the data flow management module to limit intercommunication from the spokes to the hub in accordance with the manual user input and/or participant management policy; wherein at least one participant in a first spoke is designated as a spoke leader for the first spoke, the spoke leader logically grouped into both the hub and the first spoke, the data flow management module to allow information generated within the first spoke to be propagated into the hub based on input from the spoke leader.
System and method for automatic call synchronization
The present disclosure discloses a system and a method for automatic call synchronization. When a mobile terminal receives a called signal from a calling mobile terminal and determines that an automatic call synchronization function is enabled by itself, the mobile terminal transmits, to a wireless signal transponder, a call synchronization request which carries identification information and call information of the mobile terminal; a mode recognition unit which is connected to the wireless signal transponder performs an authentication on the mobile terminal according to the identification information of the mobile terminal; and transmits a call access request which carries the identification information and the call information of the mobile terminal to the fixed terminal via the wireless signal transponder, after the authentication on the mobile terminal is passed.
